I installed yellow bulbs in the fog lights on my Mustang because people frequently flash me thinking they are brights. You can hardly tell they are there when they are off, but when they are on they cast a nice yellow light and look kinda cool. I don't think they help much more in the fog, but they do work well. Sometimes I'll be trying to avoid pot holes and end up fighting with it.

I have the Husky liners and they do a great job.

The MPG you actually get will depend on the type of driving you do and the climate. High speeds will lead to disappointing mileage, as will heavy use of AC/Heat. If you can tell us about the roads you expect to spend most of your time on and the climate, you will get a better response here.

mwr, you should test drive the Energi. The electric acceleration is great, but it also pushes you to some "bad habits" like spinning the wheels again.

I'm surprised they don't have a strut tower brace on the new ones. That was one of the first Mods I did on my 05 GT convertible and in later years Ford made the brace standard. It made a huge difference stiffening up the car. Maybe the new body design is stiffer. I'm staying away from the showrooms for a while.

And the titanium has 18" wheels, that will limit your mpg. Most of the folks reporting consistently high mpg are driving SE's with 17"

I won't install it on anhything for a few more weeks so I can get some feedback from the early adaptors. I'm trying to figure out how to get a backup copy of the current version before I try to install it on the 2013. Anyone got a copy of V3.6.2 on a thumb drive they would share?

The Energi actually has a G2 ATT wireless modem that sends data to Ford, even when the car is parked/off via cell phone technology. The Hybrid wifi is configurable and requires wireless internet service to be available. Two different animals, but we tend to be more casual with the terminology. There is a really cool app for the Energi that exploits this technology to allow you to locate the car, start it, lock it, and track your trips and charge levels, even the fuel level, via cell phone or web site. You can set charge times and even configure a "to go" time that will have the car fully charged and the cabin cooled/heated to you choice of temperatures. You couldn't do all of this with standard wifi unless you were a location where you were connected and the car wifi powered (just what that low voltage battery needs) on all the time.

Kim, After I run this update will I have to reprogram all of my settings for radio, addresses, nav and the like? What happens if I try to install this update on my 2013 C-Max?

I do have a concern about the Sync 3 updates. It may be very unlikely, but allowing an update without any prompting may open the door to hackers. I may be overly sensitive to this, because when I look at the dash on my FFH Ti I see the Sony logo. I want to be able to refuse to take an update until I see that it has been out and reviewed for a while, and I want to choose the timing and source of the code. Just look at some of the headaches the OS updates created for iPhone users.

I think the grill shutters on my C-max appear to be designed to let less air circulate around them than the shutters on my Fusion. Just saying it looks that way to me, though the upper grill on the C-max directs a lot of air at the engine behind the radiator. I'm looking for an attractive way to block that top grill, maybe remove it and stuff it full of foam. The c-max energi ICE seems to warm up quicker than the Fusion.

The main advantage to me is the big screen for weather maps and nav, and the satellite signal our here in fly over country where cell service is sometimes often not available or reliable. When a storm is coming the weather maps are much better on the car screen for my old eyes.

Flip the tire over and the bolt will fit and hold the tire in place. Go to the junkyard and pick up a jack and lug wrench, wrap them in bubble wrap so they don't rattle and store them inside of the tire.

I just wrapped my jack and wrench in bubble wrap to keep them from rattling and stuffed them in the wheel well. They are fine.
