  1. He may be on the road to the final 4. :yahoo:
  2. acdii, thanks for the tip on speedbox. I've been wanting to find something like this
  3. I bet you can do 53 on your 2010 in the spring
  4. Most of the recent chatter here has been about the new 2013 cars. I picked up a 2010 Milan Hybrid Premier about a year ago and I can't be happier about the car. My MPG has been excellent, much better than some have posted here with the 2013's. The car has been extremely reliable, is a pleasure to drive, and is very economical. We drove it to both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans last year. I can't speak for the latest version of the Ford Hybrid, but the 2010 far exceeded my expectations. Good Job Ford.
  5. With the large tank (17+ gal I think) in our 2010 Milan Hybrid, we can be selective when we buy gas. The local stations seem to be a 2 to 3 week cycle of pushing gas prices up sharply and slowly leting them fall for a while before spiking them back up. Since we can go 4 to 6 weeks on a fill up, we can top up the tank when gas prices come down and just cruse by the filling station when they push the prices up. If we are low on gas when prices are high, we can just buy a couple of gallons and wait for the stations to back off on the price. On long trips, we use Gas Buddy to schedule our fill ups. With a 600+ mile range we can be selective and save. Over time, this produces a real hybrid savings "bonus". Last year drove to both oceans, averaging 36 mpg, and planning fuel/food/lodging stops and seeing who could hammer out the best prices became a great highway game.
  6. Hi BeerNuts, welcome to the forum. I got my '10 Milan HY from a lady on 2nd st. in Belmont Hights. Drove it home to Bloomington, IL, Home of Beer Nuts. :)
  7. I ran my iPhone 3 over with my tractor... John Deere showed no mercy and the fix for that was the iPhone4. I also have battery issues. I turn off the bluetooth and wifi when I'm not using them and that helps a lot. I haven't tried the exchange fix, whrere can I find good info on that one? Ted
  8. The sunroof will take away some headroom. If you are tall, sit on a car with one before you order it.
  9. I've found that since driving my 2010 Milan HY I have picked up better driving habits, and now get better MPG out of both my Mustang GT and my Toyota highlander.
  10. If the latest style isn't an issue, keep your eyes open for a 2012. You will save a bundle of cash and the fuel economy is very close to the 2013.
  11. Got this from a Ford Tech on a Mustang Forum. It works on my 2010 Milan Hy: This is the procedure, carry out the following sequence EXACTLY to activate the engine running diagnostic mode: • apply the parking brake • place the gear selector in the PARK position • ignition in the OFF position NOTICE: Do not start the engine. • ignition in the ON position with the engine OFF • within 5 seconds of the ignition in the ON position, fully apply the accelerator pedal and hold for 10 seconds • within 5 seconds release the accelerator pedal, shift the gear selector to the DRIVE position and fully apply the accelerator pedal • hold the accelerator pedal fully applied for 10 seconds • release the accelerator pedal and shift the gear selector to the PARK position If the sequence is correctly executed the powertrain malfunction indicator (wrench) flashes once per second when the gear selector is shifted to the PARK position. The engine may be then started by cycling the ignition to the START position as you would normally do to start the car. The PCM exits the engine running diagnostic mode when the gear selector is shifted to any gear other than PARK, when the ignition is turned to the OFF or ACC position, or the powertrain or hybrid-electric system voltage exceeds calibrated limits.
  12. I've been waiting to see the Ti before buying. From the MPG issues I'm seeing, I'm starting to think I'll just hang on to my 2010 Milan Hy for another year or so as I don't think I'll see the gain in fuel savings to make it worth buying a 2013.
  13. Carla... My wife started calling the nav voice Carla and it kind of expanded to the entire car.
  14. I"m looking to remove the part you sit on and maybe the backrest so I can get some larger packages into the car.
  15. I'm looking for help on how to remove the back seat so I have a little more cargo room for a cross country trip. Thanks in advance!
  16. What was the solution to the back seat air conditioning issue? We have the same problem
  17. The shop confirmed that this is not tape but a sprayed on coating. They said they have never seen this before. They think moisture got under the coating and maybe the paint. It's going into the body shop in two weeks, they are going to remove the coating and repaint/recoat the rocker pannel.
  18. There are bubbles under what appears to be the tape. I can press on them and they change shape, so I don't think this is a coating. I think that they are either air or water bubbles. I'm going to take it into the shop on Thursday.
  19. What is the coating that runs along the bottom of the rocker pannel. It looks like some kind of tape. I noticed bubbles forming in mine and I'm concerned about trapped water causing the car to rust. Can anyone tell me about this material and offer any suggestions please.
  20. Is there a way to start the engine and let it idle so I can check on the exhaust system?
  21. Where are the safe spots to place a jack to lift the car and place jack stands while I rotate the tires?
  22. I have the same question. Did you ever come to a solution?
