I'm not positive, but if I remember correctly the leather in the cooled seats is perforated while the headed seats are not.

I picked up a used scissors jack with the grove on top at a local junk yard for $5 last night. It looks like it will fit inside the tire for storage in the trunk, and lift the car high enough to get the tire off. I hope to test it and test the tire on the car this weekend if the weather cooperates. Then I'll return the one I paid $30 for at the farm store.

I do remember reading in the manual somewhere that having a fob close to a cell phone could interfere with the signal. -
How even is the wear pattern? I'd be concerned that something is wrong with the geometry of car if it went through the tires that fast.

Cannot enter data into Navigation while moving

I was having issues with the voice command and I realized that I was holding the button down while I was talking, like you would do with a CB radio. Once I broke myself of that habit I've had much better results with voice. -
Cannot enter data into Navigation while moving

My wife calls her Carla -
I did read it, but there is so much there that I can't remember it all. Then when I go back and try to find it, I can't seem to locate it. The PDF download is a good tip, I'll try that. Its been so cold here that I can't sit in the car for long with the book.

By screw jack do you mean a hydraulic bottle jack? I bought a scissors jack from the local farm store but it is too long to fit inside the spare, so I'm still shopping around. I saw a bottle jack that will fit in the tire but the top isn't grooved to fit under the car.

My Key, Master Key, Intelligent Key, Valet Key, Remote Key, Skate Key, Smart Key, Keyless Key Remote with Key inside, Key Fob, Rescue Key, Backup Key, Key West. I'm not smart enough to search all over the da#&ed (don't want to be off key) manual. I can't find anything I'm looking for when I need it and the index isn't worth a hoot. I do appreciate everyone's efforts to educate me. At least I'm smart enough to use My Ford Sync/Nav/Sat radio. and that is supposed to be the hard part for us old guys. Unless I had youngsters sharing my car, it sounds like there is no pay off with My Key except to restrict me from using all the features in my car. Sounds like something they came up with in Washington.

Today's stupid questions: I have the Intelligent Access Key with push button start. 1) What are the advantages/disadvantages of setting up one of the fobs as a master key? I'm especially looking for pitfalls like if I loose it or something, and advantages that outweigh that risk. Or do I create it and lock it away? (then I'll need another fob) 2) There is a back up physical key in the fob. I found the instructions on how to use it to get into the car. Once I'm in, how do I start the car if the push button won't work? (What are the odds of the door not unlocking but the push button working?) 3) They also gave me a regular key type spare key. I assume this one opens the door. Again, how do I use it to start the car? Thanks everyone. I appreciate all of your help. It has made is much easier for my wife and I to enjoy the car.

A new battery in the fob helped the remote start. Now I can start it from across the parking lot.
-
I had eco cruse and adaptive cruse confused. I don have adaptive cruse.
-
How close to the car do you need to be to use the remote start? I can start my Highlander from inside my office (probably 50 yards away) It looks like I can't start the Fusion from more than about 15 feet. Is there a trick to start it sooner so it can warm up?

Thanks for the info, I haven't been holding it down to hear the second beep. I can unlock the door by touching the handle, so I haven't been using the fob to unlock the doors. Now that I think about it, I set the 1 button to my wife's settings with my fob in my pocket to save them before I reset it for me, so it may be the first setting was linked to my fob. Can I set 3 settings to my fob and three different setting with the other one? It would be cool to use one fob for me and my daughter and son, and another for my wife and me and her mother.

Two new stupid questions today: 1: How do I see the engine temp? I can't seem to find a screen to display that. 2: The memory seats/mirrors seem to always default back to setting 1 when I turn off the car. Can I change it so they go back to the last setting used? Thanks in advance.
-
Where is the plug for the block heater? the book says its by the fog lamp but not photo to point me in the right direction.
-
ok, I'd like to set the display to show the engine temp, RPM, fuel efficiency bars, instant mpg or MPG bars. Can I do that? Can I set the right display to the bars like I did in the 2010, or is leaves the best I can do?

I had another appointment and didn't have time after we did the paper work. He is going to stop by our house and give us the full demo when the weather improves. I really didn't expect to buy a car. I was looking at a nicely equiped SE they had on their website with Dune leather, but it has been stuck in transit for the past couple of weeks and hasn't arrived (stop me if you heard that one). I stopped in to tweak the salesman about loosing a sale on the last day of the year, and the sales manager said "how about this one..." I told him we had looked at it and it was out of my price range. He said "Not Today" and we were off to the races.

Ti Hy, white Platinum with black interior, Equp group 600A, active park assist, Nav, Drivers Assist. No sunroof. It has been snowing since I picked it up. Its hard to get a pic of a white car in the snow. Here is one in the garage.

My dealer threw in a spare, T125/80R16 on a fusion rim as part of the deal. It fits the trunk. Due to the blizzard/cold here, I have not tried it on the car. (14 Hy Ti with 18 inch wheels) I may do some shopping for jacks on line today. I have a 24 inch breaker bar with a 3/4 deep socket wrench that fits in the wheel well. Once I get a Jack I may look into attaching it and the breaker bar to under the rear window shelf. I'll report back once I test it out. With the weather forecasts I hear today, it may be a while.

Stupid Questions #1and #2: 1 I got them to thow in a mini Spare tire. How do you folks with a spares secure them? 2 Trying Eco Cruse. Turned it on. How close to you need to come to a vehicle before it kicks in? I hit the brakes before it did as I wasn't comfortable following that close. Thanks in Advancd. More to come. I can't wait to try the auto park assist feature once some of the snow around here is cleaned up.

I traded the 2010 Merc Milan HY for a 2014 Ti Hi, fully loaded with all the toys last night. I though I had most of this stuff figured out, but I expect I'll be floating a bunch of questions to you folks soon.
