Thank you. -

Jordan, I just saw this. Thank you for the detailed write up for sure. That's an insane price considering they don't have LED DRL's, and even if they did that's steep. I'm going to check out the ones in the link you just sent and see what I think. Worst case I will just go with the OEM light and add the best quality HID conversion kit that I can find. I would like the LED's as well, but the more I look at them on other cars, they can go either way. They can look very classy, or cheaply implemented. Thanks again for your information.

Oil Change Info for 2013+ Hybrid/Energi

Maybe its the 14 and up but I thought I read one large panel and two small panels that users said are best removed with a flat head screwdriver in a prying motion. And, as Hybridbear mentions, users report pictures and a write up somewhere around the first post but I'm missing the link. -
Oil Change Info for 2013+ Hybrid/Energi

Am I overlooking the link in the first post everybody keeps mentioning with a write up and pictures of the job? I'm going to change the oil for the first time on my FFH and just want to look over the pictures so I know what the 3 panels look like ahead of time. Thanks! -
Right now I'm holding strong at 43.0. I've teetered to 43.1 but that's as high as I've gotten yet. It's gotten decently cold here, combined with many short trips and I just can't move it higher right now. I hope to keep the lifetime above 41 during the winter so I can change the oil at 5k to full synthetic and creep it back up to 44ish before spring is over.

So, my lifetime is up to 40.8 at about 1300 miles total. I'm slowly realizing using ICE isn't bad. I've been using it more to charge the battery to almost full, thus helping out the ICE keeping cruising fuel economy better. Below are my two best drives ever. The first one was windows down and temps in the low 80's, all city driving. The second was the trip back home from the local Dairy Queen. On the way there it's a lot of uphill driving so the battery was almost fully charged. That then helped to see the MPG's obtained on the trip home. Obviously not repeatable all the time, but still crazy nonetheless! Boy, not using the AC really helps more than I thought it would.

Ok, so a couple for me. I can't believe that a car with a sticker price of $35k has just a wire loom coming from the headliner to the rear view mirror. Even my 2007 pathfinder has a plastic, square sleeve. I do realize that if you get the ACC and RSW you get the box, but it should come with some kind of covering instead of loom. Also, I also can't believe a car with as much technology as the fusion does not have HID head lights. I realize Ford has to cut costs somewhere but surprising nonetheless.

What did you do differently? Just ambient temperature differences?

Wow! Maybe Blue Devil *my favorite college team btw* was a "Monday" car and your new one was a "Wednesday" car. All joking aside, it really is strange how some cars, having the identical parts, and can be identical years can have such variances. Either way I'm glad it worked out and you are happy. Nothing worse than having buyers remorse. Speaking of the flex, I love the looks of them. If my 4X4 Pathfinder ever kicks the bucket I might get the Turbo AWD version of the flex in titanium. (Just sold my weekend warrior turbo project car about a year ago, beast, if you want details I'd be glad to share them with you.) I'm a bit of a gear head, and I'm still surprised I own a Hybrid, LOL. Loving it right now though.

I've heard that the mpg's get better as the car ages. Do you think that's true or just the driver getting used to it. Also, what's the whole story about your past FFH? I assume this new one has much better mpg's? Did you alter your driving? I'm at 40.1 life mpg and 41.5 mpg for the second tank and I'm hoping it slowly get's better! Winter coming soon so I'm gonna try my best to keep it above 40.

That's good to hear about the Shark Fin. Plus, they look so much better than the factory, goofy one. But, I realize Ford had to cut costs somewhere. Thanks about the color. I typically prefer white, but something about the darker colors on the fusion made it appear a tad more upscale, but, they all look nice. Even the Ice Storm color, just a little too feminine for me, but still nice nontheless.

I would say more like rubber, and yes, your feet don't slide around at all. Think All Weather mat grip on your feet with thin profile like factory carpet. So, no bulk, but great protection. -

I was looking at the berber ones from Quality as well. They are like $170 or so right? I decided to try the MAXpider ones from looks and reviews. Not that it means that much, but they did win automotive product of the year in 2012 at SEMA. I did drive with them last night. They don't move a fraction of an inch, fit great, and are thin so they don't look bulky. I don't have any long term durabily reports yet but they do *seem* like they will be. I'll keep this thread updated. -
Ok, so finally got around to doing a decent hand wash on it. I also got it tinted and installed the Shark Fin as well as a new set of mats. That's pretty much it other than doing something with these stock headlights. I'll attach some pictures below, they are not great because of the angle of the sun but you can get an idea. I like it so far!
