  1. Btw, Alain, since your one sample was a relatively short trip, you really shouldn't try to extrapolate the results to a longer trip. Some trips will be better and some will be worse. The longer you drive it, the more you'll understand it.
  2. Ah, makes so much more sense! Thanks CCalvinN! Alain, you're actually doing just fine. Ignore the EV and non-EV miles and just consider the total distance traveled, with considerably less fuel usage than a conventional ICE-only vehicle. So, the car is doing its job, but the logic behind your math was a little off. Enjoy your new ride!
  3. Yes, that is awesome! Enjoy the extra $$ in your pocket! :)
  4. Right. Touch controls and Sync are apples and oranges. The only thing they have in common is that neither is very good.
  5. Wife's 2014 SE has it, but like you said, my 2013 SE does not.
  6. For some reason, I can't comprehend any of this when the metric system is used!
  7. What? You do most of your driving in L? What speeds are you driving? Can you provide some more background on that, please?
  8. Lol, I replied in the other thread before reading this... +1 to everything you said.
  9. I don't really understand the concern here. There are clearly two different taillight sets used by Ford. The Titanium style are meant to be an upgrade. The other style is just not as attractive. It's what both of my cars have. Unused bulbs and wires? I doubt it.
  10. I've had that occur on rare occasions. It's a weird feeling! It's usually over before I can react. Of course, there's nothing you can really do about it anyhow. Fairly harmless in most circumstances, I guess.
  11. Everything you mentioned can be done with the remote. If it was in a pocket before it was hanging up, perhaps some buttons were inadvertantly pressed. That's probably 100 more times likely than hacking.
  12. Pushing the volume knob seems so much quicker and easier. You still have to push a button to activate voice commands, and then wait for it to "listen" and process the command.
  13. Mine also sometimes starts playing music stored locally on the phone, rather than the streaming app I normally use, Slacker. Sometimes this even occurs when Slacker is still open, but paused. It's just a minor annoyance that requires me to touch stop on my music player app and play on my streaming app, then all is well. The song and artist info from Slacker always appears on the center screen.
  14. If there's a noticeable transition with my car, I've failed to notice it. It's always seemed smooth to me. I was a little fixated on the concept early on, but never detected anything other than the growl of the Atkinson, which can sometimes be abrupt.
  15. Yep. Got those little mirrors on both Fusions and they're perfect. Once I got used to them, I was glad I didn't spring for the BLIS.
  16. I'm not going to say that, because he asked not to, but I haven't experienced such problems. I use my mirrors and maintain an awareness of what's around me. An occasional head swivel doesn't hurt, just to be sure...
  17. Woo hoo! You did it! ;) It's cool to see MPGs over 50 in such a nice car, no?
  18. No. If you never reset it, it's actually your lifetime measure. You can use use the trip meters for longer term measures, too.
  19. I don't think anyone is suggesting wild variability in pump readings, although you never know... The variation at the pump is our inability to know if we've filled the tank to the same exact level/capacity each time. For example, not all pumps are on a level grade, at least not where I live. Sloped one way, the car may be able to hold more fuel than another. Think of a bucket of water that's half full. Now, set that bucket down on a hill. Also, there's the variability that's caused by the calibration of the auto-shutoff feature from one pump to another...
  20. So, every tank since then has been around 38 MPG? Or is it just that the Avg MPG seems stuck there?
  21. I just looked at my numbers recorded in Fuelly, and saw that from January through March (when I used remote start on a semi-regular basis), my discrepancy between dash and reality averaged about 9% over 11 fill-ups, In the 12 fill-ups since then, the discrepancy is only 3%.
