What did what? I think you need to add some details...

Cheap gas.

I have the 17" Michelin Energy Saver A/S tires on my 2013. I'm up to nearly 45K miles, and the tread still looks decent. I'm wondering how many miles other owners have put on these tires before replacing.

The displayed MPG will only be "correct" when the amount of fuel pumped back into the vehicle matches what the car thinks it has used. In this case, the car thinks you used about 10.6 gallons, which maybe you you did, or maybe you didn't. Evidently, you were able to pump about 11.9 gallons back in, but there's no way to know if you filled it to the same exact level as your previous fill-up. We all deal with this. The car seems to estimate the gallons used about 5% or so too low. This results in the car indicating slightly inflated MPG numbers. Now, sometimes the numbers will be closer, or as in your apparent case, much further apart. Surely, your next tank calculation will probably not show as much variation. Bottom line - if your dash is displaying 60+, it's likely somewhat inflated, but actually, you're doing pretty darn well!

I often wonder what benefit I'm even getting out of MFT, except the screen does look cool... I've become almost totally disinterested in Sirius. I actually like Alt Nation, but I'm not going to pay for one station, even at a discounted promo rate.

I'm a fan of Slacker. I find it has a little more variety than Pandora. YMMV. Wouldn't it be nice to have these apps built into MFT...? I wish it was easier/cheaper to just get the traffic info from Sirius, but I realize that's not their core business. In the end, Google and Waze traffic info is much better anyhow, particularly about rerouting.

So the above occurred on the 8th, then cleared up a day or two later. A couple weeks (and tankfulls) of normal behavior, but now it's flipping out on me again. Miles to E on midday Friday was about 200. Didn't drive it over the weekend, and by Tuesday morning (about 100 miles later), it displayed 300 Miles to E. What's frustrating is, this is nothing that a service tech could observe if I bring it in. I think it needs to be diagnosed by someone who is familiar with how the system was designed to work. IMO, that would be the best person to know what might be causing this problem. Service techs are in the dark, and obviously, re-flashing the software is not on its own the fix.

Flat Tire Issue/Concern - Spare Tire Installation
md13ffhguy replied to securityguy's topic in Wheels & Tires
Many years ago, I was driving on an old, narrow road near my home, and there was a tree stump right up against my side of the road. There was no shoulder at all. It was not cut even with the ground, but rather about two inches above the height of the road. Of course, another car was coming in the opposite direction as I passed, so I squeezed close to my side of the road. I was probably going no more than 30, when suddenly, Bam, Bam! I didn't know what I had hit, but I immediately stopped, and heard the end of a loud hiss, as the last amount of remaining air left both of my passenger side tires. I had pinched the sidewalls between that stump and my rims, and destroyed both tires! Needless to say, I didn't have two spares, so that was a bummer of a day! Worst part was the tires were expensive, low profile type, and only had a few thousand miles on them... -
My alternate solution was to buy a second FFH. If one's out on the road with a flat, leave the other at home with 3 wheels and use the F150 to deliver the 4th for use as a spare. ;)

Flat Tire Issue/Concern - Spare Tire Installation

This point has been brought up before. Personally, I'm not that afraid of a flat. If it happens, it happens. Also, I don't think a new TPMS sensor is too expensive. I'm fine with the Ford solution. -
Color Matched Body Side Molding

I like the look of it, too. Congrats on the new FFH. Enjoy! -
You're one of the few on here who consistently posts better MPG numbers than me! It takes some effort and sometimes a little sacrifice to achieve real-world, better-than-original-EPA results, but it sure is satisfying! I've never regretted spending a few more relaxing minutes driving my FFH. :)

I bought both my 2013 and my wife's 2014 from Koons. I can't complain about how they conduct business. Staff was always professional. Had to remove that crown sticker, though! ;)
-
No way would this play out the same for me as it does for you. Elevation changes far outweigh the warmed up engine factor. I could never get better MPGs on my return commute, even if I started at normal operating temperature.
-
Congrats!! What dealer did you buy from in Baltimore?
-
What the F? I just checked mine and several letters seem somewhat loose, especially the F and I. Just before reading this, I was commenting to my wife that I thought the Hybrid lettering/emblem on the front doors was unnecessary. They appear a little crooked, too. I may remove them, but I'm afraid of potential paint discoloration since it was built 2 years ago.
-
What are you torquing them to? I've had no problems with the stock lugs, but I'm not sure of the recommended spec.

Putting any of those buttons on the passenger side of the console seems odd.

Darn math! ;) My lifetime dash is up to 51.8, which was my high water mark last fall. I'm thinking I might reach mid 52s by that time this year.

Pretty ticked off right now. After about 4K miles of "normal" readings, I got in my car to find the gauge showing about 1/4 MORE gas than when I parked about 4 hours ago. Miles to E has also increased by about 200. Either someone dumped a few gallons of gas into my tank, or my car is screwed up again... And, no more B2B warranty. Not sure I want to pay someone to figure this out, since it doesn't seem to be a known or common problem.

Looks good to me! By the way, I really, really like that color, but I don't know if I could live with it. Silver hides road grime a little better.

The app is free, but the reports still cost $$...

Got the dreaded "Washer Fluid Level LOW" message

They actually have a part number for that blue water??? -
The compression you get with Sirius is worse than most average bitrate MP3s, like those you might download from Amazon. An MP3 with a bitrate of just 128 kbps will sound noticeably better than Sirius. Even streaming services like Pandora and Slacker (my personal favorite) offer better sound quality than Sirius. Sit in your car for a few minutes and do some comparisons. Even FM radio will sound better than Sirius, if you're not too far away from the transmitting station. Seriously. ;)

What is your 'satisfaction quotient'?
md13ffhguy replied to nv rick's topic in 2013-2016 Fusion Hybrid
I get the occasional buzz, too. They come and go with changes in temperature and music! I do have to say that they seem to occur less frequently over time - at least that's my perception. I've never been a shuffler, but that's crazy.
