  1. Looks like it may be as good as gone now. Looks like the deal I want is going to happen on a new crosstrek suv. Sad that a basic vehicles version of the safety systems on the lincoln is 10x better.
  2. I understand the whole first year thing. But I would have thought them to fix the parts. Most of the pieces I'm having issues with over and over were replaced in 2015 and 2016. These parts were also used on the brand new 15 and 16 models until the new body style. In which the interior pieces are still the same crap cloth glued on plastic. The exterior trim pieces that kept having issues (and do at this moment, 3rd replacement) have since been changed to large glass panels on the 2017+. Gotta also remember. The 2013 mkz didn't make it to market until july of 2013 because they had a lot of quality issues they kept pushing back production dates due too. Wasn't like the super early fusion release.
  3. Dealership has been great at forcing ford to do stuff they don't want to replace on the car so Id really rather not call them out. Lemon law doesn't apply on anything that doesn't make the car undrivable here. They have certain small exceptions but nothing that would apply to me as all of my issues are the car falling apart. The fact that both cars developed rust in under 3 years is pretty sad as well. Im trying to work out something to get out of my car and into a Subaru from the same dealership but no dealer wants to come even close to the book trade in value. They all avoid the MKZ if they can't get it super cheap and one even told me if it was a fusion from the same year they would give me more. How screwed up is that. Yep, the FFH has only had 2 issues. One related to the headlight connector not being all the way on from the factory. And it still has some kinda screwed up issue with the windshield where no matter what you do to clean it the wipers never wipe it clean when its damp but not raining. It was this way from day one and ford denied it.
  4. Yes, we have 2 13MKZ and a 15FFH. Basically if its a interior piece, its been replaced atleast once if not 2 or more times. One of the cars the pano roof separated (lamination). Back decks peeling. Door panel rattles from the door panel ambient lighting. Both have gotten multiple headliners. My moms car the back seat (dune color) is a nasty yellow color that cannot be cleaned. This happened from age not anything on the seat, the won't fix this. They did have a lot of software bugs that they updated and fixed up from 2013 as I did get many of those. Sync in both cars is VERY moody. Will be connected and phone will work fine but bluetooth audio option comes up and says unavailable. No word yet on my car, hoping I can force corporate into fixing it even tho I'm out of the bumper to bumper since its still getting work done on tickets open prior to. Same for my moms car. We are actually both in loaners right now. Usually we just keep one loaner year round and it bounces back and forth between us.
  5. Car hasn't even hit 31k miles. Its been in the shop for around 8 months total over 4 years. 2 weeks out of warranty and now the gas engine runs so rough it feels like your on one of those pothole test tracks. Has anybody else dealt with these kinds of nightmares? We got a second mkz and its been in for a ton of time as well. Maybe 6 months total.
  6. With the above I think the car should go sealed grill for the ICE to keep it up to temp. It would still have fans and such that can pull from under the car if needed. And maybe supliment cabin heat too.
  7. Is the ford sync team still on this site? I have an issue after the update that I would think to be a MAJOR bug that should be fixed. Basicly when my phone is connected bluetooth even if I have FM radio on any sounds my phone would make (Besides calls) are muted. Its telling my phone that bluetooth audio is active when it isnt. Any ideas?
  8. Over a month later and no info. Guess I wont be getting this one done this time around as they dont know how to pull it up.
  9. Do we have a TSB number or anything to reference for this one?
  10. Even after the master reset it stayed the same. I found another way to clear it like when all the buttons, etc lock up you flash the high beams 3x. They really need to update this with sync like some of the other cars do with there systems. I'm not looking forward to loosing my car for like 2 weeks when it goes in for service next time.
  11. When my car makes it to the dealer it's gonna be 20 pages of warranty work. I figure it's at around 40hours so far including recalls and tsb that I've noticed.
  12. Let's try this a 3rd time.
  13. Must have had an issue posting the pic. I got it to go back saying the real temp but a master reset on sync didn't fix it. Did totally screw my presets to where it says on screen one station but actually playing another.
  14. Any ideas on this? It did this last nite and hasn't come back since.
  15. And dont damage it in the process. My friend had that worked on on a dodge which is the same modular design, they damaged the screen with a line and blamed him.
