  1. I am very anal when it comes to servicing my cars and my daughter has a 2015. I change the oil with full synthetic every 5K miles and rotate the tires. Every 30K I change the brake fluid. I change the cabin and engine air filters every 15K or every year as she drives about 15K. Nothing fancy...just smart maintenance. Follow the maintenance schedule in your owners manual and you'll be fine. Do NOT let them talk you into anything more than what's outlined in your manual unless you have money to burn.
  2. 56K miles and never reset TRIP 2. Mileage over the lifetime of the car is 39.9 mpg.
  3. I don't like taking chances and this is my 22 year old daughters car...my factory battery was 3 years old. Got a replacement at the dealer for $159 installed with a $20 rebate from Ford. Now I am ready for another 3 years.
  4. The new Toyota Camry and Honda Accord Hybrids are far better cars and the Accord is amazing. Buying one for my Son...no longer buying Ford's.
  5. My issues appear to be resolved after the flash of the FCIM. Put over 1000 miles on her over the holidays and climate control didn't skip a beat.
  6. They first updated the SYNC (that's what they said could be the issue), or what you are calling the APIM back in October, and just two days ago I requested they check the FCIM and the "Master Mechanic" said there was an update for the FCIM that they performed at my request at no-charge. Since my issues are intermittent, time will tell if it fixes the issue. My 21 year old daughter's car that I bought for her back in mid-2015 so I only see it when she comes home for a week every so often. Just turned 41K miles and I bought the 7/100K extended warranty. If this doesn't fix the issue, they will replace the FCIM. It is all documented and they have been good about trying to make this right so I can't complain. Best thing that could happen is that it just fails completely so they can truly determine the root of the issue.
  7. Thank you lolder but the dealer has already run a diagnostic and updated the firmware in the Sync. I believe that it is a faulty controller and trying to see if anyone else has experienced anything similar. A battery disconnect is not the solution I was looking for but thanks for sharing your thoughts.
  8. 2015 SE Hybrid. Having issues where the climate control system goes wacko. Heat comes on when it should blow cold. Fan speed will come on HIGH and can't adjust and then all of a sudden, if goes to a lower fan speed. Took it in a month ago and they said the Sync needed an update and performed the update. Now doing it again. Anyone else experience strange things occurring with your climate control system? Hoping to get ideas as the system doesn't throw codes that a tech can find. Thanks!
  9. I have been using Fumoto valves for the past 20 years...AWESOME and highly recommend!
  10. Typically, the delta between MIN and MAX is 1 quart...at least for every other car I've ever owned and those being produced today by many manufacturers. If it's at MIN, then do as was stated above and add a 1/2 qt and see if it now hits mid-way up the dip stick. Then you'll have your answer.
  11. My 2015 Hybrid SE has been a great car and extremely reliable with amazing average mileage of 42. The only issue it had was a slight leak of the hybrid coolant tank at the tanks cap in the upper engine bay. Ford replaced the tank and no trouble since. Have almost 25K miles with several trips between FL and VA. Very comfortable drive and never thought I'd be so impressed by a Ford.
  12. Go into your iPhone 6 into your SETTINGS. Select BLUETOOTH. Select the SYNC by pressing the "i" in the circle on the far right. Turn ON the "Show Notifications".
  13. Doesn't appear to be a stress crack so if I was a betting man...you're buying a new windshield.
  14. Just installed my DP lug nuts I bought off of Amazon yesterday after washing my daughters car. Used my Goodyear battery powered impact wrench I bought at Pep Boys on sale for $69 last Christmas. The socket that came with the wrench worked great and fit the lug perfectly. No stripping of the aluminum cap :) Replaced them all and torqued to 100 as required in the manual. This way, if my daughter has any issues, it will not be the lug nut causing the problem.
  15. Hybridbear...anyone already have paid access so I don't have to pay?
