2015 FFH SE 6-Way Power Passenger Seat
hybridbear replied to mwr's topic in Interior Trim, Seats, Seat Belts & Covers
Since one of your seats is 6-way and the other is 10-way, the mechanism is different which is why the driver's seat doesn't move forward and up like the passenger seat does. -

Sync Gen 2 V3.6.2 download
hybridbear replied to Daniel Rye's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
The Ford dealer should not charge to do the update. If your car is running 3.5 just take it to the dealer & let them install 3.6.2. There is a TSB posted on this form that you can reference if you are concerned about the dealer charging you for this service. I would worry about taking a file from someone else because different cars have different features which could mean different files from the Ford Owner website. Has anyone determined if the download from the Ford Owner website is exactly the same for a car with navigation & one without? Or what about a Titanium with ambient lighting versus an SE without it? -
2015 FFH SE 6-Way Power Passenger Seat
hybridbear replied to mwr's topic in Interior Trim, Seats, Seat Belts & Covers
Every car I've had with power seats does this. Your driver's seat should do this as well. This is why I usually keep the drivers seat almost all the way down. It's the design of the mechanism for power seats. -
I've sprayed invisible glass directly on the screen. The aerosol spray can doesn't usually run. After reading this I think I'll stop doing that and spray the invisible glass directly on the paper towel. We have the Triple-A screen protector and it adds a noticeable haze to the screen, particularly in direct sunlight. It definitely cuts down on the haze from fingerprints though. Also, I changed the title to make it more clear. This is something that is somewhat common sense, but that also is useful for all owners.

You mean, like it used to be when the maximum EV speed was 62? Lol In the Energi when displaying MPGe when driving in EV only the gauge is 60, 90, 120+. It's is very slow to respond when you go from accelerating to coasting. When the ICE is on it seems to respond more quickly. You're completely correct. On our road trip we did 4400 miles with only 1200 EV miles, including a few hundred while driving around the city that were EV only. Our EV % while on the freeway was usually around 20% according to my Fuelly notes.

I think the parking lot would need to be fitted with sensors that send data to the car. It appeared that this was the case in the video.
-
I guess I spoke too soon. The Energi defaults to the light blue. I first noticed it two weeks ago. I have changed it back to green 4 times & it has reverted to light blue by the next time i drive at night.

Absolutely true. We've been doing lots of city driving in warmer weather and have seen range estimates of 27-29 miles. This is realistic if we're staying off the freeway. But if you do even a few miles on the freeway it can quickly shave off those extra miles of range.

When going down a long grade in EV mode you are usually doing regen which creates significant heat & friction. The highest temps we saw for TFT on our road trip were when descending out of the mountains.

Very interesting. One thing I immediately noticed is it appears based on the app that there needs to be something special installed in the parking facility for this system to work. Secondly, the car seemed to do an excessive amount of steering when backing in to the space. The Ford Park Assist will parallel park you in two moves, one back & one forward. It judges the angles perfectly to make it a smooth parking experience. The Audi system seemed to be unsure of how to back smoothly into the space and was constantly turning the wheel from right to left and back again. I wonder why the Audi had to do all that extra steering. And thirdly, it parked by an MKZ, maybe it was an MKZh!!

Have you bought an extended warranty?
hybridbear replied to brcd131's topic in Owner's Manuals, Warranties and User Guides
I just priced out PremiumCare 8/75k and Lombard Ford is about $400 higher than Anderson-Koch or Flood. The latter two have the exact same price. -

Check out Anderson-Koch Ford as well. They also sell ESPs for around the same price as Flood. Sometimes one is slightly cheaper than the other. -
That number is supposed to represent how much energy came out of the battery. When you go down a mountain and get lots of regen that number will spin backward. In this sense it does represent how much energy came out of the wall, not accounting for charging losses.

Cool to see. Thanks for posting.

Are your contacts stored in iCloud or locally on your phone? Our contacts are stored in iCloud and shared across all our Apple devices. We have 3 or 4 groups of contacts in iCloud. Sync downloads all of them. My iPhone also has my contacts from work synced through Exchange. Sync also downloads all of those contacts to the car.

Based on observing others' experiences I am inclined to buy one too. Remember that the price is the same for the ESP for the cheapest Fusion S and the most expensive Fusion Energi Titanium. Those of us with more expensive vehicles have a higher probability of seeing a positive ROI on the purchase of an ESP. -
The amps & volts from the earlier post. Please let me know what you see for amp readings with the car in turned on in Park and no accessories running. I think that amps reading might be half of actual.

This woman had her Fusion Hybrid stolen and pimped out by the thieves. Her car was recovered with her rims painted red and an accent stripe. http://www.kare11.com/story/money/cars/2015/04/03/stolen-car-pimped-out/25252139/

Dashcam Videos of Bad ICE Drivers
hybridbear replied to darrelld's topic in Lounge - Off Topic Discussion
It certainly could have ended much worse than it did. This article has some videos of teen distracted drivers who were fortunate to not cause more damage than they did. http://www.thecarconnection.com/news/1097496_real-video-shows-distracted-teen-drivers-moments-before-things-go-wrong -
See the white dot on the freeway where I had been? That's a breadcrumb. I like them because they allow me to see where I've been. We rarely program routes into the navigation unless we're using it to keep track of our range in the Focus Electric. You are correct that they are only "dropped" if you have the nav map up on the screen. I feel like they last more than 30 miles though, but definitely less than 65-70.
-
How long do the breadcrumbs last? I originally thought it was time based but now I know it isn't clock based. It could be run-time based for having the car turned on though. Or is it based on distance or number of breadcrumbs dropped? There are times where the breadcrumbs are incredibly useful and I'd like to understand how long they last.

Your first post references the PCM which is probably what led to GrySql's post. Did you maybe mean RCM? That's the recall with limited parts.
