  1. I checked the DOT codes on the Energi & the Focus Electric. They're exactly the same. So it appears that in this case, the two vehicles have exactly the same tires.
  2. Like jsolan, we usually experience this in winter when road salt/spray causes additional build-up on the body of the car.
  3. Crazy! I'm really surprised that Ford couldn't fix this before. Replacing the fuel level sender seems like it would have been the first step. Did you first report this concern before the 3/36 warranty expired?
  4. Topic title spelling fixed. Topic moved & closed. Please make use of the search functionality in the future. Thank you.
  5. What kind of test did they do? I really question how thorough the inspection is when you're getting an oil change. I had one experience where I purposely brought the car to the dealer with the windshield washer fluid reservoir basically empty. One of the items on their checklist is to top off washer fluid. When I got the car back I checked to see if they had added washer fluid. The paperwork showed that item was checked off. However, they had not added washer fluid. I got out of the car & mentioned it to the SA. They went back & added washer fluid for me. This experience makes me question everything on those checklists.
  6. Wet brake pads/rotors can impact brake feel.
  7. You can view the complete TSB here. I reviewed the steps in the workshop manual as referenced in the TSB. Unfortunately, they only provide pictures, no words. Are any of the parts shown below the control arm? I'm not sure where/what the control arm is.
  8. I fixed the spelling error in the title & moved this thread to the appropriate section.
  9. I'd be concerned if your car is consuming oil already. We've never had to add oil. Some owners, like ptjones, have over 100k miles and their 2.0L ICE still consumes no oil.
  10. I think the Fusion Energi weighs more than the Fusion Hybrid... Thanks for your insights! It's really cool to learn these little tidbits about how the industry works. Many cars come with these same Michelin Energy Saver tires. How do the contracts work in cases like that where many different companies buy the same tires from MIchelin? Or are the tires not actually the same even though they appear to be?
  11. My parents' C-Max Energi door sticker says 38 PSI. The Focus Electric door sticker says 38 PSI. The Fusion Energi door sticker says 35 PSI. All are running the exact same model of tire on the exact same size rims. We keep our tires at about 44-45 PSI at 60 F. Since tire pressure drops about 1 PSI for every 10 F drop in air temp, we run around the 38 PSI door sticker pressure in the winter when traction is reduced by snow/ice & a higher pressure in the summer when dry roads & warm temps yield better driving conditions.
  12. It sounds like you already got your payment for the MPG issue, that was the end of the matter. Ford paid you for the excess gas you will have to purchase over the life of the vehicle versus if it got 47 MPG as originally certified.
  13. The eCVT leak should be covered under the 8/100 (or 10/150 in select states) hybrid vehicle components warranty. One owner had 98k miles on his C-Max when he had to have his transmission replaced under warranty.
  14. I'd recommend reviewing the TSBs & SSMs posted in that section of the forum. You may find software updates that your car needs. SSM & TSB repairs are usually only "free" to you during the 3/36 b2b warranty.
  15. This topic is being closed because it is a duplicate of a prior thread. It is also being moved to the correct forum section.
  16. I think this will be a great option if priced right. Chrysler should price it so that the PHEV costs only minimally more than the regular minivan after the $7500 tax credit. My parents have been looking for something to replace their 2005 Nissan Murano & this looks like a great option to join their C-Max Energi in their garage.
  17. I didn't realize that Adaptive Cruise Control can only use regen to slow the car. I thought it also used the friction brakes as needed.
  18. That was my first thought too! What an ugly color!! No offense to anyone who has a Ginger Ale colored Ford...
  19. It seems that most dealers don't really check all the things on their checklist that they give you after a service. Have you asked the dealer about the low coolant level? Your car is under warranty so they should take care of it.
  20. Early 2013 FFHs had headliner issues. I believe one FFH owner had so many issues that he ended up suing Ford & receiving a settlement. You can search for some of the old TSBs or threads about the issue. Most owners that had the headliner replaced reported that it was a nightmare because the dealer did a poor job. We had some issues with rattling in our FFH & the dealer broke clips & caused all sorts of problems when they were supposed to be fixing things...
  21. I've been saying this since 2013. Toyota's hybrid design is inferior in this way. Check out the Warm-up Stages thread for more info.
