  1. You can download FORScan for Android right now for free and use that to see your individual tire pressures. They also have a free version for Windows and a paid version for iOS. FORScan will allow you to see if a sensor is bad versus low tire pressure. I hope they aren't charging you... We recently got a screw in the tire of the Focus Electric and took it to Discount Tire who fixed it for free.
  2. Yes, only at certain gas stations. It's very annoying!!
  3. As has been explained many times already, Ford needs to overcharge for certain items that they know customers will pay the high prices for to recoup the costs of designing & building features that customers will not pay extra for (such as airbags). In fact, some articles have stated that the base model, such as the Fusion S, likely has a very small margin, where Ford makes a larger profit is when people buy cars with extra features.
  4. This is what we determined back in summer 2013. The best MPGs are at the warmest temp the driver can stand without using A/C. This is because the ICE is more efficient with warmer air in the intake and the transmission has less internal resistance with hotter fluid. The HVB can also store slightly more energy at warmer temps which makes the energy conversion process slightly more efficient.
  5. There are many threads about speaker replacement.
  6. I hope that replacing the sensors will fix it. We got errors in the winter when there was a lot of road dirt on the car so I understand why they would clean them.
  7. If you bought from Flood but live in AZ how would you take advantage of that disappearing deductible? I thought Flood Ford was in New England...
  8. Any update? Dealership still can't figure it out.
  9. Is that something that all Ford dealerships who sell ESPs offer? Or is it something unique that your dealership does as a way to drum up business?
  10. What did it take to fix this for you? The service advisor just emailed me that he's talked to the technicians and they claim that there's nothing they can do to fix this and that they didn't mess anything up. They claim that this is normal.
  11. Sadly the dealership woes continue... The dealership I've gone to lately with the Focus Electric & Fusion Energi (Freeway Ford) had previously been a bad experience. However, they are really trying to improve their reputation and provide good customer service. The Service Advisor I have been working with is really great. He has done a very good job pushing Ford Engineering for a resolution on the issues we have with the Focus having corrupted data in MyFord Mobile. He also took note of my list of issues needing repair and ordered parts in advance to speed up the repair process. Today I had the following list of repairs completed: TSB 14-0039 - the memory seats don't respond to the IA fobsTSB 14-0219 - the fuel level seems to drop very quickly right after filling the tankTSB 14-0175 - the ambient lighting defaults to light blue and doesn't hold the color we selectSSM 45012 - periodically after using Sync Services the steering wheel radio controls are inoperativeSSM 44909 - the turn signals periodically cancel before completing a turnTSB 13-5-18 - the trunk lid doesn't open & stay open properlyThe two SSMs call for reprogramming of the same module so only one repair needed to be completed. I knew this but I wanted both issues documented with the dealer. The receipt indicates that they did everything except the fuel level one because they said the IPC was already at the newest calibration. However, now the remote start options are grayed out on the menu. We also have not been able to get the IA fobs to work for the memory seats even though the paperwork indicates that the BCM was reprogrammed per that TSB. I am quite disappointed that things weren't done correctly. This means another trip back to the dealership and more time wasted... I have e-mailed the SA about this and expect to hear back from him soon.
  12. I'm now having the same issue. The dealer just installed updates on our car today. One of them was for the IPC. I'm thinking they didn't install it correctly. I'm very disappointed in the continuing poor dealership experience.
  13. Why? What causes them to reduce battery life? Do they overcharge the battery?
  14. Do you find that the SCCM update made a difference? This is one of the updates I'm having done on the Energi today. Thanks for the great update!
  15. Why would you have to pay if you went to another dealer? I haven't heard of that before for a Ford ESP. Have you tried http://www.fordesp.ca/?
  16. That's surprising that it is standard (no charge) in certain US states but is a extra cost option for Canadians who deal with more cold.
  17. Will it be a write-off with that much damage? So sorry to see. Hope the driver is ok.
  18. How many miles where on the car when you bought it? If it had more than 50 miles when you drove it home then you would still be under warranty. Our car had 200+ miles when we drove it home and thus the warranty would run until 36,2xx.
  19. There's been some discussion about warranty pricing and buying right away or waiting until the 3/36 warranty is about to expire. So I did some research... Anderson-Koch Ford (http://andersonandko...d-warranty.com/) All prices are for PremiumCare 8/100 $0 deductible Miles: 10,200; time owned: <12 months = $1755 Miles: 10,200; time owned: 12<months>36 = $1855 Miles: 35,000; time owned: 12<months>36 = $1855 Miles: 15,000; time owned: <12 months = $1855 The prices from Flood Ford were identical. So the key is to buy before 12 months or 12,000 miles because at that point the price increases. In this case it would increase by $100. I didn't realize the increase would be so much. We'll cross 12,000 miles by June 1st. I guess we need to decide by then if we're going to buy an ESP now or forgo the decision until 36 months or 35,999 miles... The other risk with waiting is that the ESP price may increase... The other interesting thing to note is that there is no distinction in warranty price for having a more expensive Fusion. We have some friends who bought a base Fusion SE and their extended warranty price would be the same as for our Fusion Energi. Our Fusion Energi MSRP was about double the price of their gas Fusion SE. Their car had an MSRP of $24,000 and our loaded Energi had an MSRP of $45,590. We only actually paid about $13,000 more than them, but it's still crazy that the ESP is the same price when you have such a wide range of feature content and powertrain complexity.
  20. Here's the breakdown I did: Anderson-Koch Ford (http://andersonandkoch-ford-warranty.com/) All prices are for PremiumCare 8/100 $0 deductible Miles: 10,200; time owned: <12 months = $1755 Miles: 10,200; time owned: 12<months>36 = $1855 Miles: 35,000; time owned: 12<months>36 = $1855 Miles: 15,000; time owned: <12 months = $1855 So the key is to buy before 12 months or 12,000 miles because at that point the price increases. I guess we need to decide by then if we're going to buy an ESP now or forgo the decision until 36 months or 35,999 miles... The other risk with waiting is that the ESP price may increase... I'm going to post this in one of the warranty threads since it's useful info to remember. Flood Ford has identical pricing.
  21. A lot? When I ran quotes the price difference was something insignificant like $35.
  22. Did you ever have the parts replaced per the TSB? I don't understand why you won't answer that question. It's been asked of you probably a half dozen times and yet you ignore it.
  23. Nice! Too bad I already bought a couple sets a few years ago...
  24. All cars built in Canada should have the block heater standard. Check by the left fog light. That's where the plug would be. Nope, that is what I've always said.
