Seeing other 2013 Fusions

Recommended Posts

Today I saw two FFH's (TB & PW) going east on I-20 and quite a few other none hybrid fusion's.

Just as acdii it's quite amazing how many how see already of course we have developed the Fusion-Eye. My wife keeps looking at me funny when I see another one and wonders if the transmit some kinda energy between Fusion drivers. ;-)

I saw a gas MKZ in Bordeaux Reserve at the grocery store. Parked beside him. Both cars look so great in that color. I prefer the front of the FFH but boy when you walk around back the MKZ is impressive looking.

On our way back from an emergency call last night, we met a white FFH on Aldine-Westfield & Louetta. I was tempted to tell the chauffeur to hit the air horn but that may have caused the FFH driver to crap their pants.

We had to check out our dealers inventory yesterday. They got a new batch in, and have 4 on the lot. 2 SE in Silver, one 2.0 Ti in Bordeux, and one FFH SE in PW. Since the 13 came out they must have sold at least 30 of them. These are all new inventory, they weren't there when I picked mine up after the update.

I know the other one isn't a Hybrid, but I couldn't resist taking a picture.

Actually, the other one was parked that way, I just parked next to him. And we were at the outer perimeter of the lot.

i reserve my "special" zapper ray gun for people who park like that..... just so you know when you come out and find your car has been turned into a roller skate....

I saw a ton of Fusion's in Savannah today. There are 3 in the hotel parking lot but only one FFH (mine).

I saw a IS FFH this morning on Sullivan Island at first I thought its dalesky.

Went to our HQ office today and there is one regular Fusion from a trainee and I learned that a co-worker apparently owns a FFE but it wasn't in the parking lot he switches cars with his wife.

For me it seems I see more of the car that I drive. call it selective visual filter or something. I see a lot of fusions but can't tell from regular or hyb. it would have been nice if ford had a bigger visual just for hybrid.

since 2014's aren't changing in form, we should see them more and more.

After a long dry spell of not seeing ANY FFHs, I saw not one, but TWO today!

This one is a Titanium - it was at the local church, so i don't know if it's from my neighborhood.

This one is brand new, it still has a temporary paper tag on the back. This one is 2 blocks away, I walk past the house every night when I walk the dogs.

I completely understand. I will park a quarter mile away from an entrance if I have to. Can't stand the inconsiderate schmucks who don't give a crap about taking paint chunks out of your car with their doors.

I was passed by two 2013 FFH. One had been drafting a tractor trailer that was coming up from behind in the left lane. Before getting to me the truck slowed down some and pulled in behind me in a typical truck shaking a drafter kind of way. The FFH then proceeded to blow by us both going at least 70mhp. All I could think was ya, that drafting effort to save fuel was wasted.

The other FFH also blew past me. I don't get buying a hybrid, ostensibly to save fuel and then driving with a lead foot, It seems like driving with a lead foot defeats the purpose of having a hybrid.

Speaking of saving fuel, I set a new MPG record for my daily commute. I got 54.6mpg driving pretty much the same way as I always do and without drafting. :woohoo:

Maybe if I get my FFH waxed I can improve aerodynamics and squeeze out 55mpg. :hammer_self:

I see the same thing. People driving their Hybrids like any other car, and they are usually the ones who complain about not getting EPA. It isnt Magic People, have to work for it, or Pay to Play.

I agree. We saw another FFH last night, Ice Storm SE hybrid. They blew past us on the interstate. They had to be going close to 70 MPH in a 55 MPH zone. Then when they came to a curve in the freeway we watched them hit the brakes hard to slow down. I just don't get it... :headscratch:

I bet the FFH would have gone around the curve just fine without slamming the brakes at all. :-))

Visiting the parents in DeRidder, LA and saw this beauty at Beauregard Country Club while getting a few holes in. My Fuzzi is off to the right in the second photo.

You should have parked right next to him/her.

I just laughed looking at the 4 pickup's since they probably use as much gas together than a single FFH.

Of course, most likely they don't have to brake on a curve with the Fusion, unlike the top heavy garage sized SUVs that always do. In fact, my wife (aka back seat driver) asks me to brake when going around things like roundabouts, which I like to move through without slowing if they are clear. I mean, what's the point of having good handling if you can't enjoy it once in a while. Oh wait- " driving isn't supposed to be fun"
