Seeing other 2013 Fusions

It was north on Harrison and turned right on 62 behind me.

 

It was followed by a SKOS in a jeep who zoomed red light to red light, only to wind up 6 cars behind me on 62 when it changed to 2 lanes. Right lanes RULE!

No not me at least not at this time. I drove home via 62 last night after a beer stop in Schaumburg.

 

Like you keep saying in regards to the jeep driver - you can't fix stupid.

There are almost enough IL, WI and MN members now to get a gathering together. Now that would be a neat sight, a bunch of new Fusions in one place.

I don't think that is a Hybrid - I can't see the Hybrid badge on the side, and those wheels look like standard SE, not Hybrid SE wheels.

Sounds like fun! But since I'm apparently the only Hybrid owner in South Florida, I guess I'll just BBQ a couple of burgers in my backyard and eat them in the garage!

I might have seen the RR Fusion you were talking about acdii. We went for our anniversary dinner a saw one on the way out. At the restaurant there was another gray FFH.

 

A cook out sounds like nice idea! There should be plenty of parks around maybe even a camp ground or something like that.

I used to see Fusions around town but maybe only one or two Hybrids. Now that I have mine I haven't seen any, maybe that is because I was always looking for them from my sad sad Accent with no AC.

Sounds like a neat idea. Especially toward the Fall or maybe even wait till next Spring as by then there should be more owners around

You know what we could also do, is let our dealers know about one, and they can notify customers, and we could get more members this way too. I know my dealer would be helpful in this.

Its a thought, I can run it past the owner of my dealership and see what his thoughts are. I do know they have sold a lot of Fusions this year, there were 6 on the lot two weeks ago, they were down to 2 on Saturday, and got a few more in this week.

 

 

I saw a Bordeaux one this morning too going the other way in CL.

My dealer already does this every three months. They put on quite a spread and roll out the techs for Q&A.

I was just followed by another FFH in silver thru my neighborhood in CL. The guy had no front license plate so either he was from out of town or managed to convince his dealer not to drill holes in he front bumper.

 

I actually thought he would follow me all the way home but he didn't kinda unfortunate.

My FFH is in shop getting speaker replaced, in a Dodge Dart today. Was entering BW8 from I-45 and a sterling grey FF EB stayed behind me on the access roads all the way to 249. A White FF (couldn't tell if it was FFH or not) passed both of us heading west on the BW mainlanes. Seeing more everyday. Damn sexy car.

It's been only about 10 months since the new Fusion came out, and really only 9 months since they hit the lots. Seeing as many as we do now shows how popular this car is now. Back in 07 when we got our first Hybrid, you rarely ever saw another one, then about a year later we started to see more of them, yet the car had been out for several years prior to that. What I see now in the amount of Fusions is about on par with what I saw back then with the P*****.

I'm not even sure how many I saw today but quite a few. When I left my neiborhood I met my "neighbor" in the white FFH. On the home I drove alongside one of the rare Ginger Ale Fusions but it was just a regular one.

 

Beside those two I probably saw another 3 or 4. I mean its not really a surprise since the 850% sales increase for Ford Hybrids in Chicago have to be somewhere on the road.

During my round trip to Mobile, AL I saw lots of Fusions, but only one Hybrid and it was going the other direction. I swear driving up on Saturday it was the most popular car that pass me.

Saw a BR non-hybrid right behind me on the BW8 access road heading to the company's main campus around 11am.

 

As I was leaving main campus, saw a blue FFH heading east at the same access road intersection on BW8 around 1:15pm.

 

Then as I was back at corporate, and I had to make a double take because in the visitor's lot was a BR Maserati Quattroporte. http://www.maseratiquattroporte.com/

Yesterday I drove over to BJ's and parked, as I always do, in the far corner of the parking lot, isolated from other cars. When I came out, parked next to me was another FFH in Tuxedo Black! There was a note on my windshield that said "Nice car ;-)"

I waited a couple of minutes to see if the owner would come out, but nobody did. So I left a note on his/her windshield that said, "We are both so smart!"
