Looks like they fixed the zip file, I downloaded and installed the 3.7 update tonight. Though I did run into an issue where it froze on 5/9 30 minutes into the update. Had to turn the car off and pull the USB, was scared I had hosed my system since when I restarted the MyFord Touch screen was all messed up. But I put back in the USB drive and re-ran it and about 25 minutes later it finished and everything was good.

So I've had my 2014 FFH Titanium a year now and I just wanted to give some of my feelings on the car. This is my second Hybrid, I had previously owned a 2010 FFH. First I don't drive that much since I rotate driving weeks with my wife (she has a 2013 C-MAX). But I am currently at about 7800 miles and averaging around 39-42mpg per fill up. Which is odd since my wife is averaging about 44mpg per fillup. Pros: Car Design - I love how this car looks, especially with the Dark Side color. (though I wish they would have given it dual tail pipes) Room - Plenty of Room, I was slightly concerned about the loss of space in the trunk but it has not been an issue and unlike the 2010 model I can actually fold down the seats. High Tech - Love all the high end tech (BLISS, Collison Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, Auto Head Beams etc) Gas Mileage - so I'm pretty disapointed with the change in the 47/47/47 rating especially after compliaining to Ford about it and they told me it was my driving, but still around 40 MPG isn't bad, I fill up my car about twice a month and occasionally driving to work (23 miles) I usually hit between 46 and 50 mpg. Ride - The ride is pretty quiet and pretty smooth. Cons: Very Loud AC (from the outside of the car) Bizzare car jerk when idle at a stop occasionally MyFordTouch / W Nav - This system stinks, and is so slow. Half the time it can't understand what I'm saying other half of the time it barely registers my clicking on the screen: Call Parents at Home = Changing to Sirius Station Howard Stern Paint seems thin, maybe I'm unlucky but the amount of locations the paint is chipped from debris hitting the car is pretty high. Overall I'm pretty pleased with the car, the only thing I'm a little disapointed with was if I would have waited 1 more month to buy the car I could have gotten a heated steering wheel and ventilated seats. I guess that will have to wait till my next car.

Mine came today, 2014 FFH purchased in Oct of 2013. Odd thing is my wife's came about 2 months ago (2013 C-MAX) and it required a signature.

Never noticed this on my Fusion before
Howie411 replied to Howie411's topic in Lounge - Fusion Hybrid Talk
Ah thank you, I never noticed that before, but it makes sense. -
So if you look below the grill, the right side vent is actually covered but the left side isn't. I tried to google a bunch of front photos of the 2014 FFH and I didn't see this on any of them. Am I losing my mind?

So my wife has a 2013 C-MAX and I've driven it a few times recently. I don't know if anyone else has driven a C-MAX and compared it to their Fusion but three things I noticed: The C-MAX seems to accelerate better (which is odd since they are both 188HP) The C-MAX is much quieter acclerating on the gas engine. The C-MAX has a much less rough acceleration (no vibrations on the foot) like I get iwth my FFH.

White platinum paint rock chip fixing?
Howie411 replied to Eddie Sessum's topic in Lounge - Fusion Hybrid Talk
Never heard of that Dr. Colorship before. Does it actually work? I watched the video and it looked impressive. Though I've watched videos for junk that doesn't work and it made it look impressive too. ha ha -
This pisses me off more then almost anything else. Someone to lazy to walk 5 feet away to put their damn cart back. One day I was at the grocery store with the wife and she ran in to grab something I waited in the passenger seat. This lady next us to unloads her cart and then leaves in between her car and my wife's. I tell her to move it, she doesn't listen. I start to take pictures of her and her car, of course then she gets out and moves the car.

Sorry, its called Paint Scratch Remover. It has decent reviews.

My question about this is how does it effect resale value. 47/47/47 was a very high and there arent many cars out there that came close to it. But as technology progresses they definitely will. So in say 4-5 years all the cars are getting that or better, who wants a car now that is only rated at 41.

Must have happened within the last 2 days, as I just recently got my car detailed and it wasn't there. Also I can't even understand how it would happen, this is right above the front driver side wheel. Seems to low for a door to have hit it, and if a car would have swiped it I would think it would be much worse. I picked up some of this today and will see if it helps at all - It doesnt look like its down to the primer. - hmm my list went bye bye, (I picked up some Quixx Paint Remover) was the highest rated stuff I could find.

Weird, the link must have changed....

I'm not getting over 40-41 mpg, This is my 2nd Hybrid. I had a FFH and I always came very close to the 41/36 mpg and occasionally hit a lot higher without even trying. I'm having a hell of a time with this car. The other day I filled up and got it up to 48ish but that was coasting for multiple miles downhill. On my return trip I ended up going back to 40ish again. No matter how good I drive the car I don't think I will ever get 47. And even worse my wife is hitting 42-43 mpg with her 2013 C-MAX.

So, I finally ended up just getting a small bottle of touch-up paint from the dealership and put it on. It actually doesn't look half bad, and if you don't know where they are you wouldn't notice the chips now. Though I do have another question. Does the Ford paint have clear coat built into it or should I be getting a bottle of clearcoat touch up paint too?

I only hear it outside, but never used the remote start before in the summer (since the car isnt a year old yet) So I guess it is normal. I actually noticed the same noise on my wife's C-MAX the other day.
-
So I've noticed when I start my fusion lately, it is very noisey, almost sounds like a lawnmower. Here is a quick video I made - https://www.dropbox.com/s/eud3xkjabo984oa/VIDEO0010.mp4 When I had it in to the dealership last week they said it was normal, but I don't ever recall it being this loud. As an FYI this is when I used the remote start and hadn't gotten in the car yet.

Cooling system stinks up car even in winter
Howie411 replied to GreatLakes's topic in Climate Control
Holy Smokes, that looks like a lot of work, guaranteed some rattles after that TSB is performed. -
Anyone remember that funny car insurance commercial where the NAV system was like "Turn right ....................................... in 20 feet. But cause of the delay they turn into a building?

Asked the service advisor about the retrofiting the steering wheel today when I dropped my car off for maintence. He basically said it would be very expensive, but not sure if he really knew if its possible. He said the Wiring harness had to be replaced etc, but he didnt do any research or anything. He did give me some names and #'s for some local companies that he said may be able to do it cheap, But don't think I want a random company pulling parts off my 6 month old car.

When I bought my 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid it came with an old maps. About a month later the new version came out (this is when it was still DVD's) I contacted Ford Corporate and raised a stink how I paid $900+ for a out of date NAV system. They sent me the update for free. Worth a shot.

I got one of those 3 year 40k maintence plans free when I bought the car, pretty sure that is all included but I will double check. Thanks
