  2. Got this email today. Legal Notice Regarding MyFord Touch and MyLincoln Touch - Important Deadline IF YOU PURCHASED OR LEASED A MYFORD TOUCH-EQUIPPED FORD OR MYLINCOLN TOUCH-EQUIPPED LINCOLN VEHICLE FROM A FORD OR LINCOLN DEALERSHIP BEFORE AUGUST 9, 2013, A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT MAY AFFECT YOUR RIGHTS TO EXCLUDE YOURSELF FROM THE CASE, YOU MUST TAKE ACTION BY February 5, 2018. INSTRUCTIONS ARE BELOW. A court authorized this notice. It is not a solicitation from a lawyer. You are receiving this notice because you have been identified as a potential class member in a class action lawsuit pending in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. The case is called In re MyFord Touch Consumer Litigation, and the docket number is 3:13-cv-03072-EMC. Plaintiffs purchased or leased a Ford or Lincoln vehicle equipped with an in-vehicle information and entertainment system called MyFord Touch or MyLincoln Touch system ("MFT") from a Ford or Lincoln dealer before August 9, 2013. MFT is an in-vehicle information and entertainment system. The defendant in the lawsuit is Ford Motor Company. The class action may affect your rights. You must decide whether to remain in the lawsuit as a class member or to exclude yourself. Your options are summarized below. Plaintiffs allege that MFTs on these vehicles are defective because, among other things, they will not respond to voice commands; do not connect to the owner's mobile device; provide inaccurate directions and/or misread the location of the vehicle; and/or freeze up or crash altogether. Plaintiffs allege that when MFT freezes or crashes the driver cannot operate any of the features connected to MFT including the navigation technology, the radio, and the rearview camera or defroster. Plaintiffs further allege that Ford charged a premium price for MFT. Plaintiffs seek only economic damages and are not pursuing claims for personal injuries. Ford denies that it did anything wrong and denies that MFT is defective. The Court has not yet decided whether Ford did anything wrong. There are no benefits available at this time. However, your legal rights are affected.
  3. Just had my tires replaced on my 2014 FFH Titanium. Car has 39k miles on it and tires were rotated every 6k. I went to at least 6 different places and everyone told me the Tire Size was a rare one for the car and had to be ordered (235/45R18). I ended up going with BJ Club and got 4 Uniroyal Tiger Paw GTZ A/S tires for $560 after installation. I think it was a pretty good price. The one odd thing I noticed on the receipt I got back from BJ's it said, Damaged Lug Nuts (Manufacturer Defect). Not sure what that means, I was going to call and ask.
  4. Took my car in for service the other day (2014 FFH) and mentioned there was Rust on the inside of the door (see photo). Was basically told this isn't an issue and would take an act of God for Ford to do anything. I'm assuming it will only get worse? Should I continue to bug them or is it not really an issue since its not a viable area unless the door is open.
  5. So with the newer version of Android OS you can select 4 options when you connect Bluetooth devices: (they are all on by default if they are available) Call Audio Media Audio Contact Sharing Message Access When you sync your phone with MyFord Touch there is a problem in which Media Audio turns on by default which messes with any 3rd party Nav Apps. So say I'm using WAZE or GoogleMaps. I hear no audio if Media Audio is turned on unless (I turn MyFord Touch to Bluetooth). This is a problem. So as an example. I'm listening to the Radio or my USB drive, and I'm using Google Maps. I won't hear any turn by turn audio as the phone is trying to send it to Bluetooth which isn't selected. Now if I turn Media Audio off, the turn by turn directions come out of the phone speakers which is how I want it. If I turn MyFord Touch to Bluetooth, I will hear the audio from the speakers, but then I can't listen to music etc. This is recent as of Android Marshmallow. (Android 6). This isn't a big deal since I can turn it off, but this never happened before, so not sure what changed.
  6. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. On an Android device you can pull contacts from multiple locations. They can be saved on the phone, they can be pulled from Twitter, any email account, basically anything that can associate a person with a #. The vast majority of people have theirs stored on their Google Account, which is what Android phones use to allow you to access the App store etc. Anyways I reached out to someone I know at HTC and he said he has heard from some other folks of an issue with Ford and Android 6 (Marshmallow) too. I I don't know at this point whose issue it is, Googles, HTC, Ford. Though based on how long it takes any of these 3 companies to update their devices, I'm not holding my breath for a fix anytime soon, which really stinks.
  7. Hi Rebecca, All my contacts are stored on my Gmail account, same place they always have been. Not sure how Ford pulls that information from the phone. Under phonebook it just lists all my contacts.
  8. So I just confirmed the same issue on my wife's 2013 C-MAX, she is running version 3.8. On my phone it does the same thing, stops at Ted Britt Ford, but each letter group basically lists all the contacts. On my wife phone (who also has the same phone model) her displays every contact, so for instance. A-F shows every contact through Z. G-L shows every contact starting at G going to Z. etc. So is this an issue with MyFord Touch or an Android issue? Anyone else have an HTC One M8 running Android 6 and can test this?
  9. So I'm about 80% sure this started after my Android Phone got Android 6 (Marshmallow) but need to double check if its happening on my wife car and she has the same phone (different Ford). Anyways it seems like the phonebook is all messed up. (I've even tried restarting the phone, deleting it, repairing it etc). Anyways 1/2 my contacts are missing and the ones that are there are randomly listed. For instance A-F (shows everything contact up to Ted Britt Ford (which starts with a T). G-L shows everything starting at G and ends again at Ted Britt Ford, same for M-S (Has everyone from M to Ted Britt Ford. T-Z (All this has is Ted Britt Ford). So its like its not putting the correct names in the correct letter groups and completely missing some contacts. P.S. This is on a 2014 FFH with My Ford Touch 3.8 installed. Any ideas?
  10. So I upgraded my System on the way to work this morning. Took about 30 minutes. Things I noticed. There was a part about 10 minutes in where it was updating file 4/12 and that took like 10 minutes, I swear I almost thought my system was frozen, but the light on my USB drive was still flickering so I figured it was doing something. Unfortunetly it finished right when I got to work so didn't get time to see if I noticed many changes. Though it did unpair my phone. Also unless I'm going crazy there was now a star icon on the NAV map at my office. I have never seen that there before
  11. I haven't received an email notification after running a VHR in the last year. When I contacted Ford they told me it was an issue on my side (check my spam). I told them it was an issue on their side but they didn't want to hear it.
  12. The update is showing up for My 2014 FFH but not for my Wife's 2013 C-MAX Hybrid.
  13. Am I the only one who finds this page insulting - http://www.ford.com/technology/sync/ "Upgrade to SYNC 3 and enjoy all of the great SYNC features, plus our next generation of voice-activated technology. New easy-to-use design. New interface. New features. SYNC 3 is not only new, it's responsive and innovative. Discover how SYNC 3 delivers next-level connectivity to your busy life." Does Ford know what the word upgrade means? I wish I could upgrade my My Ford Touch to Sync 3. Might as well say buy a new car, get Sync 3.
  14. So I had my VA state inspection sticker updated today and whoever removed the old one did a horrible job. All sorts of sticky residue on the inside window. Any suggestions on what to use to remove it?
  15. https://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/hybridCompare.jsp 2015 Ford Fusion Titanium vs 2015 Ford Fusion Hybrid Titanium - Payback Period 2.6 Years 2015 Ford Fusion SE vs 2015 Ford Fusion Hybrid SE- Payback Period 5.7 Years 2015 Ford Fusion S vs 2015 Ford Fusion Hybrid S - Payback Period 6.9 Years So basically if your going to buy a titanium, you may as well buy the Hybrid.
