I just hit 750 miles on my car and have never managed to get over 36.5 mpg normally around 33. And my gas mileage is worse city driving then hwy driving which its suppose to be the opposite.

So I was having a problem whenever I got into my car, for the first 1-2 minutes my cell phone would drop the bluetooth connected 1-2 times and then finally settle down. This would happen every time I got into the car. I contacted the Sync help today. Turns out the auto download option (this automatically updates the phone book, call history) is causing this issue for some phones. I turned it off and no more problems. I hope this is an issue they will fix in a software update. Its pretty annoying. By the way I have a LG Lotus (On Sprint).

Thanks for the tip, I usually do some sort of Carwash Protectant, once a month. I had a Tri Diamond White (same as pearl) on my last car, I've come to the realization, if I'm going to pay extra for anything on a car its not going to be the paint, it needs to be something inside useful to me. :) On a side note, just picked up the car from the service shop and happy to say my front drivers seat looks brand new again, no holes I can tell of.

Here is a picture, the Atlantis Green is really dark, when I first saw it I thought it was black, it looks really slick.

So, I've now officially had my Ford Fusion Hybrid 1 month. During that time I've filled up 1 time and the car currently has about 590 miles (though I went about 520 on the first tank of gas). My average highway driving seems to be getting better gas mileage then city. I tend to average between 36-37 on the hwy and around 34-35 in the city. I keep the dash display on Engage, as I enjoy seeing the gauge with the dual Battery/Engine. I hope to one day see a 41/39 like Ford States, but honestly I can't see that happening unless I start Hypermilling. And I can already tell some people are getting annoyed driving behind me. The car has some great pick up and speed, and I can merge onto busy highways with the best of them. I love how quiet this car is when I start it up and driving on just the electric engine. This is the first 4 door car I've ever owned, previously I owned a Pontiac G6 Convertible and before that a Mini Cooper Convertible, I thought it would be hard not to have a convertible anymore but then I realized I really didn't put the top down that much, and I tend to open the sunroof a lot now, even if its slightly cold outside. I've gotten a lot of compliments on the car, I opted for the Atlantis Green with the tan interior, (though now I wish I would have gotten the black interior after seeing how easily the tan gets dirty). I also got the 502A package, I figured if I'm going Hybrid I'm going all out. I'll be taking my car in tomorrow to the dealership, there is actually some perforations in my drivers side seat and I'm having the dealer fix it, hopefully it won't be to bad. I already got my first scratch, surprisingly it was on the window, when a bunch of rocks from construction flew up and scratched the windshield, unfortunately the glass and the body shop said it wasn't fixable. So to start out with the Pros: [backup Camera] - This thing is awesome, not sure how I ever managed without one. [Nav System] - This system is pretty state of the art, especially coupled with TravelLink I think it rivals some of the really expensive portable GPS's. I just wish the maps were more up to date. They say my car came with the latest Maps from Navteq, but both my Garmin and Tom Tom have streets 2 blocks away that don't exist on my FFH. [sirius Radio] - Had XM for the last 8 years, I could never have another car without Satellite Radio. [Microsoft Sync] - My favorite feature is the Bluetooth/Cell Phone connection (when my phone can keep the signal) Also connecting my Ipod through the USB and seeing the song names, artist is awesome. I don't really use any of the other features though or at least not yet. Now the Cons: [Leg Airbag] - This thing is way to low and I keep hitting my feet on it. A few suggestions for next years model. [Homelink] - Why is this on the Escape but not the Fusion? [Cold Seats] - Taurus has them, would be a nice addition. [Foldable rear seats] - I guess they'd have to move the battery somewhere else. [Autopark] - Another cool feature the Escape has I would have loved.

Is it just me or is the antenna for the Sirius/GPS in the 2010 Fusion horrid? I have sporadic radio in my garage, and anytime I go under the smallest bridge, I lose both GPS and the Radio for a few seconds. My old G6 had this really tiny XM radio on the rear, and it was way better.

I'd be interested in knowing too. -

I think this must have been added at the last minute, it actually is poorly added, its so low I end up kicking it while moving my foot between pedals sometimes. -
Well it doesn't need to say 0 miles to empty. It could say like now running on reserve, 5 miles to empty or whatever. If it has 2 gallons of reserve, that's almost 80 miles, which with any car, thats a lot.
-
Was nice of him to leave you an empty tank. :) I just filled my car up today for the first time, went 532 miles. The car said I had 22 miles left until E, and I put in 14.948 gallons, so that means there was almost 2.5 gallons left, I wish they would update the software to be a bit more accurate.

When I picked I purchased my car it had 8 miles on it and it listed I was getting 21 MPG. I don't know about calibration but a reset fixed it. And now I'm averaging 36-37 mpg. Who knows what that thing defaults to or does when it comes out of the plant. So you may need to reset it just once.

Is there there actually more fuel then listed? Just about ready to get my first fill up ever and I'm down to 45 miles. The car temperature gauge has now changed into a gas pump and says low fuel. In the manual it says, When fuel level becomes low (50 miles) the indicator will change to bright yellow. When fuel level comes critically low (0 miles) to empty) the level will change to red. I'm pretty sure my gauge has been the same color at least since 100 miles left to empty. And what good does it turning red when I can't go anymore do me? :) By the way its cool how all the gas stations pop up on the NAV system when your fuel is low.

Travel Link - Sports Scores - Like it?

I noticed mine locks up too if I try to check it and my car is not in park, thought that was the whole point of Sync and this touch screen system. Shrug. -
What are you all using to clean the inside of the car? I have the tan interior and it seems to get dirty pretty easily, mostly around the door. Is there any safer interior cleaner or should I stick with water?

Thanks, ya I found it the other day when I was updating my Sync.

Is there a way to turn off the voice when I change radio stations, I really don't need it say Sirius Hits or 90's on 9 everytime I change channels.
-
So I tried to update my sync version. The website says it takes 8 minutes. 25 minutes later I'm still waiting, I go try the Tech help on the sync page and the guy tells me to keep waiting that its not done yet (if it takes 30 mins why don't you say that). Well it finally finished and the info page says I have the newer version, though when I try to do the Report Successful Sync, its telling me it can't do it correctly. So not sure what the deal is just yet. *edit* - Reformated the thumb drive and redownloaded the 3.1 update. This time after plugging it it and starting the install it took about 60 seconds and told me it had completed. I was them able to upload the report to the sync website. I'm not sure what happened the first time.

I was/am considering the Geico warranty service. Has anyone used it? Its like an extra $5-6 a month and I think you can take it up to like 8 years 100,000 miles.
-
How do you tell what version you have? I assume since my car was built the first week in Oct it already has it, and it let me set up 911 Assist.

I think thw problem with my Ipod waas the first few times it hadn't fully indexed correctly. I've yet to have a problem with it since the first day, I'll keep an eye on it. My next question, anyone notice the audio sound difference between devices, watching a dvd, playing an mp3, playing the radio and using the phone I have to readjust the volume for each.

Had my FFH for 3 days now. First of all I love it. I have a few questions though. 1. Does anyone keep kicking that panel near the gas/break pedal? It seems pretty low and every time I move between gas and break my foot hits it. 2. I synced my Ipod to my Radio, it seems to work fine the first time, but if a song is playing and I get to my location, leave the car and come back later, when it restarts playing the music you can't hear anything. Only way I've found to fix it is turn off the radio completely. 3. Any way to train the Sync System better. I seem to remember the commercials made it look so nice and fluent, and I'm like "Play Album Madonna" and it either hears me wrong so doesn't understand me and I have to say it very slow. Thanks for the info.

I previously had a Garmin Nuvi Portable before this car, and it has what they called 2009.10 maps and it had all the roads and it came out in January, I'm pretty sure Garmin uses Navteq maps, so I know they exist.
-
Picked up a brand new 2010 FFH yesterday, the map data seems a bit old, missing roads next to my condo that are at least 2 years old. The dealer told me it was the latest, I called Ford and they told me to call Navteq. Navteq told me to call Ford. The information the Map displays is: Application Number: YWSA-LJXF Map Version 2.0x Does anyone have a newer map or know if this is the latest? It sucks to buy a 30k car to find out you have 3 year old map data.
