  1. That's the way mine works. The window lock prevents the rear window controls from working, but both the driver and passenger can operate their windows regardless of whether the windows are locked or not. This actually works for me. I've got to prevent the kids from opening the windows, but the wife doesn't freak when she can't open the window.
  2. Now that it is football season I am tinkering with the Travel Link Sports Scores. I find it very slow and frustrating to use. Am I missing something? The best part is that it helps you find the channel with the game you want to listen two. Everything else is either too slow, inaccurate or you have to stop the car to really use it.
  3. I got it to work. I have only tried it once or twice. The first time it didn't work and I got a message like you did. But the second time worked. Now everytime the artist I selected plays on any of the satellite stations, the car alerts me. So it does work, but there's some bug in there somewhere.
  4. I can confirm what people are saying in this thread. I drive in Austin and in Houston. In Austin I usually make short trips and there are lot's of hills, so my city mileage averages around 30-35. The car definitely needs to warm up, so very short trips take the MPG down. In Houston when I take longer trips on flat side streets I can get 40-45 or more. Highway driving I am getting 41-43, driving 65-70 MPH.
  5. If you burn a DVD full of MP3's the CD drive will read them (and the folder structure) but you cannot load the MP3's into the jukebox. You can only load audio CD's into the jukebox. The good news is that a DVD will hold many tracks. I use both methods, plus the satellite radio, and I am not much of a music buff!
  6. In my 2010 Fusion Hybrid, there is a large vertical slot on the right side of my glove compartment. Any idea what that is designed for? It's an odd shape due to the curvature of the dashboard. About the only thing that easily fits are CDs, but they are difficult to reach, especially from the driver's seat.
  7. Since I got my 2010 Fusion Hybrid I have wanted a concise list of all SYNC commands. I checked the syncmyride website and only saw a simple quick reference card with few commands. I went thru the manual and created my own. I also found it useful to include the full list of POI categories for the NAV system. I've found several useful commands that I didn't know existed! Now that I've created it, I thought others might want to use it. It's attached here. syncCommands.pdf Please post any corrections or suggestions in this thread.
  8. I've had my FFH for 10 days now... and love it. For other FFH owners out there, which mode of the Smart Gauges do you use? I find I like the Engage (the one with the gas and electric output power) better than the Empower one. What am I missing? The Engage seems more useful to me to know where the power is currently coming from. How do you interpret the power on the Empower gauges?
  9. This is one of many articles on the web. Another article mentioned he purchase a FFH with NAV and MS Sync -------------------------------------------- McCain swaps Cadillac for Ford Fusion Hybrid Posted 16 June 2009 @ 09:23 am ET Former Presidential candidate Sen. John McCain bought the new 2010 Ford Fusion, a mid-size hybrid sedan. McCain replaced his Cadillac CTS with the Fusion which sells for $27,270 for the hybrid model, compared with the starting price of $19,270 for the basic gas model. "Time to get a new car -- decided on the Ford Fusion Hybrid," McCain wrote on the Twitter online messaging service on Monday. He chose the silver car and was impressed by its fuel-efficiency, his office said according to the Associated Press. The Ford Fusion hybrid has a fuel efficiency of 41 miles per gallon in the city and 36 mpg in the highway, compared to the Cadillac which has a rating of 17 mpg in the city and 26 mpg in the highway. Ford's Hybrid consumes 8.8 barrels of oil per year while the Cadillac consumes 17.1 barrels, which translates into 51 percent less annual carbon dioxide emissions, according to fueleconomy.gov. 10. I am in the market for a 2010 Fusion Hybrid. Although I haven't made a formal offer yet, the dealers in central Texas are all saying that they won't sell below MSRP. One dealer even claimed MSRP + $1000. This seems consistent with what other people have posted hear. I am wondering if things are softening up a bit. I'd be curious to hear what prices people are actually paying for the Fusion Hybrids now.
