Hi jmellen, Some phones will allow you to access destinations from the phonebook, however, there are many that do not. One thing I can suggest is checking the address listed in the phonebook. If you notice a section for a country, try removing it. You'll need to re-download the phonebook to your MyFord Touch system once this has been changed. Let me know the outcome! Kim -
Although Ford is expanding the availability of AppLink, it is focusing on Gen 1 SYNC systems at this time. You'll find the announcement here: http://media.ford.com/content/fordmedia/fna/us/en/news/2014/01/03/ford-offers-sync-applink-for-3-million-more-customers.html There is still no update on AppLink for MyFord Touch equipped vehicles, but I've passed along the feedback. Hi tr7driver, It sounds like the other members of the forum answered your question already. They're correct; you found the case to the navigation SD card. This is where the map information is stored for your navigation system. When future map updates are released, they will be available here: www.Navigation.com or you can speak to an agent by dialing: 1-888-628-6277. Hi djminfll, Make sure these steps are being followed to allow text messaging to work through your MyFord Touch system: http://support.ford.com/sync-technology/how-to-allow-ios-text-messaging-sync-myford-touch Hello Milleron, I don't have much information on this, but I'll tell you what I do know. :) The MyFord Touch system only uses information from these Bluetooth profiles: HSP, HFP, PBA, OBEX, OPP, A2DP, AVRC and MAP. The Audio/Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP) in conjunction with the Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) will affect the streaming of metadata via Bluetooth on the MyFord Touch display. Unfortunately, I am unable to verify which phones will allow this feature to work. Kim -
I understand where you're coming from, hybridbear. Of course, there will be times where we run into an issue without a quick fix that I can recommend. I'm here for basic troubleshooting, so I am unable to verify how the dealership will handle this concern. I've suggested a dealership visit so they can see the actual vehicle and utilize their resources to get this resolved, or at least have it reported to the appropriate party. Performing a soft reset to the phone once in a while will improve your connection with SYNC for text messaging. On both of these phones, you'll just hold the POWER button for about 10 seconds until it powers off and turns back on. The phone will still be paired to your car after doing this. If you begin to receive a message telling you that the device isn't supported every time you attempt to send a text message through MyFord Touch, delete SYNC from the device and delete the phone from MyFord Touch. Follow these steps to pair it again: http://support.ford.com/sync-technology/pair-your-phone-sync-myford-touch If the phone asks if you want to allow SYNC to access your phone's information, make sure you touch YES or text messaging will not work. I know it can be confusing that my title is In-Vehicle Technology Representative, and I don't handle every technological concern with the vehicle. I am only able to provide information about the MyFord Touch system and settings within. Since I am unable to adjust the settings for many of these alerts through the MyFord Touch system, Ashley at FordService will be better to assist with these types of inquiries. If an update doesn't require dealership installation, it will normally be available for instant download from: www.Support.Ford.com Although you don't own the truck any longer, keep in mind that dealerships are interdependently owned. If you need an update in the future that can't be downloaded from our website, I suggest pricing a few different dealerships to make sure you get the best deal. If you ever wonder if something should be available for instant download, reach out to me and I'll verify. :) Kim

Hi everyone, This link should be helpful if you're getting used to using voice commands for navigation on your MyFord Touch system: http://support.ford.com/sync-technology/navigation-by-voice-sync-myford-touch You'll notice that the screen in the video looks slightly different than your touchscreen displays probably do. The video shows a different software version, but the voice commands still work the same. :) Kim -

Thanks for working with me to help pinpoint the issue. If anyone reads this and notices that: www.Support.Ford.com is showing that an incorrect version is installed on their MyFord Touch system. As far as skimming through your SiriusXM stations goes, pressing the SEEK button on the steering wheel will allow you to go through one set of presets at a time. Since I was added to this forum, I've been seeing a high volume of Fusion Hybrid and Energi owners experiencing this issue with: www.Support.Ford.com Please PM your full name, VIN, mileage, and best phone number. I'd like to have this documented on your account specifically so In-Vehicle Technology phone agents will be able to access details of this conversation as well. In the past, you were able to see some SYNC information on: www.Owner.Ford.com The websites are more integrated now; if you're logged into: www.Owner.Ford.com it should redirect you to the SYNC website when you click on a SYNC related link. If you're being directed to a blank page, try clearing your browsing history and attempting again. I'm sorry; I saw this post after I posted my last response. The Vehicle Health Report will normally update your software version, but something must not be communicating properly. This may be an issue specific to Fusion Hybrid vehicles. I'm going to report this and see if I can get any more information for you. Hang tight! Kim

Hey everyone, I'm the other Ford representative that Ashley was speaking about. I'm part of the In-Vehicle Technology team. I use a tool to allow me to sort through posts and see which ones are relevant to my area of training; however, it looks like I was missing some of these comments. I've seen a few of you posting on my welcome thread already, which is a great way of reaching out to me. Here's the link: Hi IraF, I saw that you posted on the IVT thread today, but didn't mention this website issue. If it has been resolved since you posted this, please let me know. I'm working with another owner that is experiencing a similar issue. I'd like to clarify some things. Does the website show that you're running V3.5.1 and that it is the latest software? If it does, this isn't correct. The latest software for MyFord Touch V3.6.2, which will need to be installed by your dealership. Verify your software version by pressing the 2 gears at the bottom of your screen > HELP > SYSTEM INFORMATION. The last 5 digits of the CCPU number should say: 13171 if the latest software was installed. Let me know what you find. Hi Sleddog, I'm happy to enlighten! I'm here to suggest different troubleshooting steps to resolve MyFord Touch concerns and answer general questions about the system. I'm in the same boat as Ashley when it comes to accepting feedback for changes to the product. In order to document it, I'll be requesting personal information so I am able to associate the feedback with your account. I'm here for any general questions about the MyFord Touch system. If something isn't working as it's designed, I'll suggest troubleshooting steps that I recommend for that scenario. Although I have gained some knowledge from other users about certain phones, I am far from being an expert on phones. I am able to assist with SiriusXM questions. I am unable to assist with any aftermarket systems. Since this forum has so many MyFord Mobile users, those types of questions should be directed at me. I'll warn you that my resources are limited, but I know the people to reach out to in order to get answers. I hope this helps clear some things up. Let me know if you have questions! Kim

Hi acdii, Thanks for clarifying. Since the issue is not isolated to TravelLink categories, I suggest taking it to your dealership to have it diagnosed properly. Have you already brought this issue to their attention? Unfortunately, I don't have any further troubleshooting I can walk you through online. I'll have to recommend that you continue to work with your dealership to get this resolved. Since this concern wasn't addressed during your last visit, I'd like to escalate this to your customer service manager to make sure it gets handled correctly at the dealership.
