  1. Hey kash80, As murphy stated, check to see if there's an update available. You can PM the VIN or check out this link: https://owner.ford.com/tools/account/how-tos/keep-your-sync-up-to-date.html Cara
  2. Hi apilon50, You're welcome! I will pass your thanks to Cara. Shaay
  3. Hey Alain, Since TraveLink is supported by Sirius, please contact them directly if you are still experiencing issues. They can be reached at www.sirius.com or at 888-539-7474. Cara
  4. Hi jadei, murphy is correct in stating that the MyTouch systems do not have the AppLink feature. To share general ideas with Ford Motor Company on how we can enhance our products and services, please visit http://social.ford.com Cara
  5. Hey ekeman, I agree with the others on trying a USB flash drive to see if the same thing happens; however, this sounds more like an SD card issue. If you don't have a spare flash drive, try another SD card. Keep me posted! Rebecca
  6. I don't use Google for my Android phone's backups, so I'm not sure what that process is. However, if my contacts are stored on my SD card instead of my SIM card or internal storage, then not all of the information gets pulled to SYNC. Also, if Google Hangouts or other apps are set as the primary text and/or call app, then SYNC generally doesn't pull the contact information; this goes for Outlook contacts as well. Hope that helps! Rebecca
  7. Would it be possible to put your contacts on your phone instead of being pulled from your Gmail account? Marshmallow could have changed something and SYNC no longer reads your phonebook the same way. Rebecca
  8. Hi Howie411, I think you might be right about this happening after the Android update. I haven't received Marshmellow yet and wasn't able to reproduce this, but I also don't have the same phone. Let's dig a little deeper into your phone since you seem to be having more issues than your wife. Where are your contacts stored: Are they on your phone, in a cloud, pulled from a different app, or on the SD card (if it has one)? Rebecca
  9. Hey wiscy67, You do need to have SiriusXM Travel Link for the traffic portion. I believe you can subscribe to it without having the radio portion of SiriusXM, but you may want to confirm with Sirius: http://www.siriusxm.com/contactus Hope that helps! Rebecca
  10. Hey Howie411, Have you had a chance to test your phone in your wife's vehicle? If so, which SYNC system does she have: http://owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-technology/all/get-started-with-sync/how-to-identify-your-sync-version.html Is her software up-to-date as well: https://owner.ford.com/tools/account/how-tos/keep-your-sync-up-to-date.html Whitney
  11. Hey guys! There isn't a way to backup your Favorites or Previous Destinations, but the only time they should clear is if you manually delete them or do a master reset. Software updates should no longer erase them. Hope that helps! Rebecca
  12. Thank you, Alain! I suggest deleting your VIN since we don't recommend posting personal information in the public space. I do show that the 3.8 update is available via your dealer. Please make an appointment to have them install it for you. Rebecca
  13. I can't speculate on future products, but as it stands now, we do not plan on offering an aftermarket SYNC 3 kit. With that said, I encourage you both to head over to Social.Ford.com and get your voices heard. Our product engineers periodically check that site for insight as to what our customers are looking for. Rebecca
  14. We worked with Panasonic to develop the QNX operating system on SYNC 3. However, we'll continue to work with Microsoft on future projects. Rebecca
  15. Hey guys! Our partnership with Microsoft is still going strong and will continue to. They are an important partner of ours and have played a key role in improving the quality and performance of our first and second generations on SYNC. In an effort to unify all of our SYNC systems, we have simplified the name plate to say "SYNC." I hope that helps clarify the change! :) Rebecca
  16. Hi mcarvin, Yes, I'm still taking VINs. We've changed the process a little, so please also include your approximate mileage and best contact phone number. Rebecca
  17. Hi lwejun, If you still have the file on your USB, you can use this link to report the update: https://owner.ford.com/tools/account/how-tos/keep-your-sync-up-to-date/report-software-version.html?step=prepare-sa#/prepare If not, run a Vehicle Health Report and it'll send the version number to your account. Hey Luron, iPhones cannot send texts via MFT; you have to use Siri in order to send them. To get notifications, be sure you have that setting turned on in your phone. Here are the instructions: https://owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-technology/myford-touch/phone-setup/how-to-allow-sync-to-receive-text-messages-from-your-iphone.html?sync=my-ford-touch Let me know how it goes! Rebecca
  18. Hi Eddie, What kind of phone do you have? Rebecca
  19. Hi mmarreco, Did you check in your account under SYNC & HOW-TOS, then CHECK FOR SYNC UPDATES for the 4.4 software? Rebecca
  20. Hi Sam Care, murphy is correct this feature is not operational outside the U.S. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any other questions. Whitney
  21. Hey tr7driver, I believe the issue being discussed on the other forum is a known concern that only affects the 2015 C-MAXs; dealers do have a fix for it. :) For everyone: Should you have an issue with running a Vehicle Health Report, please make sure there's nothing plugged into the OBD II port, and try removing and re-adding your phone number from your Owner.Ford.com account. If those two steps don't correct the situation, please PM me with the error message and your VIN. Also, I'm still collecting VINs for those of you that do not see version 3.8 on your account, so send them over. Thank you to everyone that has already sent yours. Rebecca
  22. Hey everyone, We are currently looking in to this; if you do not have V3.8 available, please send a PM with your VIN so that I can dig deeper. I hope everyone is having a great weekend. :) Whitney
  23. Hey everyone! Please try logging into your Owner.Ford.com account, click on SYNC & HOW-TOS, then CHECK FOR SYNC UPDATES. This update is for all MFT/MLT vehicles, and includes all improvements from previous updates (such as version 3.7 for those of you that it wasn't available for). You do not need to update your maps with a new map SD card as long as you have an A3 or higher SD card. If you cannot report the install back to us, please run a Vehicle Health Report (U.S. Customers only) or Status Checker (U.S. and Canadian Customers) by following these instructions: Vehicle Health Report - http://owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-technology/myford-touch/vehicle-health-and-performance/how-to-run-a-vehicle-health-report-with-sync-with-myford-touch.html?sync=my-ford-touch Status Checker - Log into your Owner.Ford.com account, click on SYNC & HOW-TOS, then CHECK FOR SOFTWARE UPDATES, and scroll to the bottom of the page. There should be a Verification tool with instructions on how to use it. If it doesn't show up, you can use this link - http://owner.ford.com/tools/account/update-center?step=prepare-sa Here's the link on how to download and install the update: https://owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-technology/myford-touch/software-updates.html/?sync=my-ford-touch Please note: Your vehicle should be running during the install to ensure the radio doesn't go into battery saver mode and disrupt the update process. If the update does not appear or if you have issues downloading/installing it, please send me a private message with your VIN and the details. :) Please do NOT use files from someone else; only use the files that come from your Owner account. Rebecca
