Welcome to the forum Ed! Looks like we picked the same avatar :)

I wonder if fixing the DIB would be easier to match because it doesn't have all those metallic specs.

BLIS and Cross Traffic Alert
neod192 replied to JSKershaw's topic in Advanced Driver Assistance Technologies
The sad part ... that describes exactly how our cars operate :) -
My commute is 11.6 miles one way, so an Energi would have been ideal for me. It was my first pick as far as wants, but it would take wayy too long to recover the "Energi premium". I think it came out to 10 years after the tax credit. The trunk space is sad, but something I would've been willing to deal with (by getting a carrier to put on top of the car for road trips). It just didn't make sense financially ... This is my first new car and I already spent 35k on it (before taxes). Our electric company even has offers a $2,500 credit toward the installation of a 240V charger.

Had a good trip this morning. Lighter traffic and was able to coast to most stop signs. Took the secondary route which has higher speed limits (55) until I enter the city and a lot of hills.

I don't think so. As far as I know the alarm goes off only when the doors are opened while the car is still lock - unless the Fusion alarm is smarter than that. I haven't really researched this, so I could be 100% wrong :)

You might want to tell them. I bet they have no idea they ruined the paint ....

Dashmat dashboard carpet - nope...

Oh wow, I had no idea they make those! What do they do ?No hard feelings, but I think those are hideous :) -
I'm thinking of just leaving my key in the car and using the keyless access code to get in/out of the car. I would never have to worry about carrying a key again! This is probably a bad idea, because someone could break the window and steal the car ...

Ford to offer free updates to boost hybrid vehicle efficiency

So now a fully charged battery will be used up in 10 seconds ... it'll then take 1 minute to charge it again :) I wonder if they'll fix the software so that the A/C button will actually turn off the compressor? -
It's an extension - AdBlock Plus.

How do you turn this on?
-
I was considering a VW as well, even test drove one. The tech in the Fusion and its looks won me over.

Did they do both sides? I think the dealer has the option of doing just one side or both. My dealer called me yesterday to let me know the parts are in and it sounds like they only got one set of parts .. I asked them to order another set for the other side - not sure which side makes the sound, but I want both sides fixed.

Welcome and congrats on your new baby :) You got a great rate !! The lowest I could find was 1.49% and had to set up direct deposit to get it. As far as pricing goes, I had an X-plan pin so I paid $135 over invoice before rebates ($500+$750), taxes and other fees (registration, title, etc). My MSRP was $37,550 and the X-plan price was $35,302.17. Invoice was $35,167.84. Nah, DIB is still nicer than the TB!

http://www.fordservicecontent.com/Ford_Content/pubs/content/~WT/~MUS~LEN/3632/tsb13-05-18.htm I would like to see how your car behaves. Mine will only close on a slope, like in the driveway and stays open on flat ground. When I open the trunk, it doesn't open too high - maybe this TSB would allow it to open wider? -
I'm so confused & lost! I need a map :)

I like the look, but they have no idea what they're talking about: What V6 models? DUH!

Your premium might not go up, but come renewal time you might not be eligible for some discounts, like the "no claims in the last 5 years" discount I get ... your out of pocket could go up, but it all depends on how the insurance does it. How much would it cost to fix it yourself, pay out of pocket and leave the insurance out of it?
