Has this happened to you?
neod192 replied to Ignacio C. Tonarely's topic in Lounge - Fusion Hybrid Talk
Do you have Park assist? I do and my car beeps when I get too close to things too. -
I Z-6'd it before a new layer of Z-5.

Yes - http://accessories.ford.com/kit-10474.html

Got it! I checked my account and I see the same thing. On the main page, last update date is March, History shows I updated to 3.6.2 on Aug 6 twice - I only downloaded the software once. It also shows that 3.5.1 was installed twice on March 22nd.

The problem with keeping that much space between you and the car in front of you is that some moron will pass you and get between you and the other car. Then you have to back off again to keep that distance. If you're already going slow (the speed limit) you have to slow down even more. ACC does help, but I find it too aggressive when I drive 45-50 MPH.

Are there any accessories you want to get: illuminated door sills, splash guards, aluminum pedals, touch-up paint, wiper blades? What about a spare wheel and jack? Ask them if you can pre-pay for oil changes (I got a voucher for a prepaid oil change when I got the car).

3.6.2 came out in August and wasn't available in March. What am I missing?

In my HyTi with MFT, the two 4" screens brighteness changes with the + and - buttons by the headlight control. Someone else mentioned earlier that their car doesn't do that.

Yup, I decided to keep my wheels ... Can't really afford to buy new ones right now and these do the job. They're actually growing on me :)

Quick note : after the pcm update the ICE will stop at a light even if not at operating temp yet. It will start up again when you hit the gas and won't shut down when you let off the gas. It will only stop again if you stop or it reaches a certain time.

A hypothesis: 75mph is the highway mpg sweet spot
neod192 replied to Aquineas's topic in Fuel Mileage
Aquineas, are you seeing 40-43 on the instant only or also at the end of the trip? While I can see 40-43 instant MPGs for some portions of a trip, the trip average tends to be lower. -
A hypothesis: 75mph is the highway mpg sweet spot
neod192 replied to Aquineas's topic in Fuel Mileage
I wish I would get 45+ going 65 on flat roads. So far it's not happening. On downhills, I could get 45-47, but on the way back I'll get 41. -
I wish I could say I agree with you. I bought with Z plan - ordered the car for one amount, Ford increased the price while I was waiting for the car, my dealer passed on the additional cost to me. I later got a refund check, but it didn't cover the full amount. A couple weeks after that Ford generated a new window sticker showing a price lower than when I originally ordered for. I'm still waiting for the dealer to send me the refund for the additional amount.

HD radio stations.. 1-2-3?
neod192 replied to Eddie Sessum's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
I would think you have the same MFT software as me. Mine tells me when the HD signal kicks in by showing the HD logo. I can tune directly to the HD station by entering the frequency followed by # 2: ie 9-5-5 then 2. I have it set as one of my favorites and if the HD signal is not available, it'll display "HD station not available". -
I agree! And if they can't automate the software update (sometimes the user wants to keep using an old version for some reason), the install should fail with a clear error message that the PC software has to be updated to version xxx.

A hypothesis: 75mph is the highway mpg sweet spot
neod192 replied to Aquineas's topic in Fuel Mileage
My car doesn't behave like that .. I had the cruise set at 70 for 100 miles and I only got 38 MPH. I increased it to 72 for another 180 miles and my MPG dropped to 33-34. On the way back from that trip, I set it to 65 and I got 42.4 MPG ... I would love to get that 42-43 going 75, but anything over 70 kills my MPG .. This is after the PCM update and it just roller over 6k miles so it's all broken in now! -
OK :) That's why I said to use the heated seats until the car warms up!

I love the Sony sound system! In my opinion is well worth the upgrade to Titanium. You also get HD radio with it. You have to have a good audio source for it to excel - FM or Sirius just won't cut it.

The heater in the Hybrid runs off the ICE, not the hybrid battery. The Energi has an electric heater, so you don't have to run the ICE. In the winter the ICE will be running constantly because of the "Heater Setting". You will see very little EV action and your MPGs will suffer even more! It's best to turn on the heated seats until the ICE warms up, then turn on the heat. The PCM re-calibration might help with this, but it's not cold enough to really test thing out yet.

Stuff doesn't fall off the glovebox shelf anymore

Thanks! I guess that's another thing to add to the list of differences between SE and Titanium :victory: -

Talking about that shelf, do all cars have that fiber on the shelf? I think I saw a few that just have a plastic shelf. -
SYNC Gen 2 Version 3.6.2 differences
neod192 replied to gmarshall's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
When I click the "i" icon at the bottom, there's a new screen on the left "Where am I? It shows the current street, the next intersection coming up, last intersection and GPS coordinates. I don't remember seeing that screen before the update.
