Seeing other 2013 Fusions

Recommended Posts

There are 12 at my dealer now. Mine is parked in the garage, way too sloppy this morning to drive it, 4" of heavy slush. Roads are clear now.

We got about 10 inches of snow here last night through this morning and now our temps have dropped to single digits with the windchill being -15 to -20. The FFH will stay home today and we'll drive the Prius.

I was next to a ruby red FFH SE for a little while in traffic this morning.

Edit: Or is that sunset?

That might actually be a Sunset FFH there is too much orange in there to be RR but the sun hits right from behind.

Either way nice looking car ;)

Saw three FFH SEs in the Boston area over the past week! It's been snowing here, so the fact that we're all driving them in the snow is a great endorsement.

I pass several fusions on my commute now. One is ice storm, so I know it's a FFH. I think one of the white ones is too. All SE's though, titaniums are rare around here.

Yesterday I had another HyTi honk at me as he passed me coming out of Wilmington. I guess we're a loyal, friendly bunch.

I've tried to make eye contact with other FFH/FFE drivers when we see them on the roads to wave or smile. They are very rare here though. I see more C-Maxes than FFHs and more C-Max Energis than FFEs :(

We took a little jaunt over the 2,600' mountain between us and the Pacific Ocean today, ended up in Newport Beach.

This is the So Cal 'Gold Coast' where new AMG Mercedes, Porsche's, Lexus, Land Rover's and Jag's are the norm (and now Tesla's).

We parked in the Fashion Island Mall parking lot and our FFH had a few lookers before I found a parking spot.

One couple had stopped walking and were standing next to it pointing when we came back to leave. I liked that.

In addition, I must have seen two dozen '13/14 Fusions of all colors as we drove home down Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) thru Corona Del Mar and Laguna Beach before we turned inland.

It was a nice sunny day, 79F at our house and 68F at the beach.

I would like your post, but I dont, I live here too, and it was 10* this morning by me! ARGH, damned driveway is solid ICE. At least there were no snow clouds on the roads this morning or I would have stayed in bed.

It's times like this that I wish I still lived in the San Diego area. I miss Sunday mornings sitting on the beach, reading the newspaper.

I really wasn't rubbing it in, I appreciate your situation and don't know if I could handle that kind of weather and the danger it imposes.

You folks are tougher than me. I have two sons in Missouri and they tell me weather stories too.

I didn't move here though, I was born here and lived near, played in and worked on the Pacific Ocean nearly all my life.

My comment wasn't to irritate but rather a casual comment, sorry if it offended anyone.

I mowed my lawn today... :stirpot: ;)

Nope I'm not offended just having fun ;)

I like the cold but I don't necessarily like the gas bills or potential driving danger that go along with that. I don't even own a real winter coat for that matter.

I need to get my mower out too maybe I can turn it into a snow mower ;)

1F would be a heat wave for Minneapolis! It was about -10 this morning, it's supposed to be that cold again tonight, and they're predicting -20F for later this week! :banghead:

My wife and I had lunch in the outdoor seating of a café on Avenida Del Mar in San Clemente last Friday. This street has been my favorite one to see what's new in cars for the past twenty years. We saw more Audis than anything else, but we did see seven Fusions. Not one Camry or Tesla. I also saw more Fusions on the freeways than I've ever seen before, which is a very good sign for Ford. I'll have to admit, however, that I was lusting for a new Cyber Grey Metallic Corvette Stingray with removable roof panels when it pulled out of its parking space while we were eating. Chevy has done a great job with that car. If it just wasn't a GM product........

That Stingray is sweet, and it gets 30 MPG highway. Color me shocked! I saw what at first appeared to be a black Fusion Hybrid, but as it turned it changed color. Looked deep red, too deep to be Bordeaux, so maybe it was DarkSide. If thats Darkside, it is a cool color.

What a Fusion day it has been. ;)

I had to make a little field trip today and saw 6 Fusions maybe 1 or 2 FFH and all except two in different colors. (2 white)

My wife and I were followed by a RR FFH with the 18-inch wheels on our way home from Target tonight. More proof that the auto headlights aren't sensitive enough and that the FFH should have DRLs: it was dusk and this FFH didn't have lights on.

I literally see dozens of Fusions every day, but I live in a very popular car rental area. More often than not, I can see a barcode on the side window, indicating that it is a rental. I did see one Fusion Hybrid today, white SE, but most are ICE models.

One thing that is kind of cool, we have a whole fleet of taxis here that are regular Fusions.

Weird, one of my neighbors has a grey Fusion Ecoboost, but it has the Titanium exhaust pipes. I guess he had it done custom.
