gadgetguy Report post Posted July 21, 2014 Hey everyone! Long time no post... 14 months and 38,000 miles and still love my Fusion! Just put my first set of tires on and decided to replace my wheels... Made a post in Wheels and tires about that... My lifetime is sitting right around 40 but I have had lots of long drives at 75-80 mph. I love getting 39-40 mpg at that speed! 3 acdii, Sleddog and corncobs reacted to this
acdii Report post Posted July 21, 2014 Wow someone who drives more than me, 13 months and 28K this morning. I found that the Cruise does get pretty close to what I can get when driving to work, its within 1-2 MPG. Going to get my wife to use it more often when she has the car, then I wont be giving her the evil eye when I get in after she drove it. I just tease her about it and she knows it, 43 MPG is not bad at all, I mean what is 4 MPG when you are already up at 43. 3 jeffo65, gadgetguy and Hybrider reacted to this
corncobs Report post Posted July 23, 2014 This might have been my best morning commute yet. Everything just came together allowing me to cruise along. 4 GrySql, Sleddog, acdii and 1 other reacted to this
acdii Report post Posted July 23, 2014 Morning commutes are great, going home, not so for. you would think people would be more eager to race home than to work. 1 dalesky reacted to this

B25Nut Report post Posted July 30, 2014 My trip last week from Central California to Oceanside, a distance of 306 miles, averaged 45.6 mpg at an average speed of 68 mph. Since I was traveling California highways and freeways, I spent a lot of time close to 75 mph to achieve this average speed. In my first 9 months of ownership, I never saw more than 38.5 mpg for this trip.Yesterday going to work, I got 51.6 mpg, my highest ever. There were times when I saw sub-35 mpg in the morning. My FFH just keeps getting better the older it gets. 5 acdii, GrySql, hybridbear and 2 others reacted to this

acdii Report post Posted July 31, 2014 New record for my morning drive! Had to drop the T off for an axle recall inspection, so from the dealer to my office. 3 corncobs, Sleddog and ptek reacted to this
acdii Report post Posted August 1, 2014 This is funny, drove 47 miles and got 47.8 MPG. Would have been even better had I driven 47.8 miles. Brake scores were strange today, almost all of them were 99%, brakes were a bit grabby. Then someone slammed on the brakes so got an 84, then after that they were all 98%. jsolan Report post Posted August 17, 2014 Had my 2nd 47+ mpg tank of the summer this morning: 48.5 mpg for 454 miles and 9.3 gallons. I easily could've made 500 miles but it was the start of a trip fuel prices are cheaper at the starting location than the ending.

corncobs Report post Posted September 17, 2014 (edited) My FFH clicked up to 52.5 lifetime this morning... photo525.JPGYour FFH must have a serious calculation error somewhere ;) this is really cool. I was hoping for the Empower display avg. to tick up to 44 MPG well something to work on tomorrow. I think my lifetime is around 42. Hybrider Report post Posted October 9, 2014 The cooler temps here this week have improved my FE by at least 1-3 MPGs over last week, :drop: as seen in the photo below of my trip meter for the current tank of gas. The highs this week have only been up to the low 90's, and the lows around 70°. Yesterday some precip clouds moved in and held the day's high temp down to the mid-80's. 4 Sleddog, HighwayJerk, corncobs and 1 other reacted to this
acdii Report post Posted October 10, 2014 Happy to report that with 36* temps, still getting 45 MPG. :) I thought for SURE I had a 100% brake score, every single stop was 100%. How I got 98%, no friggin CLUE! ohchannelinger 1 Sleddog reacted to this
Sleddog Report post Posted October 10, 2014 I'm up to 52.6 as of a few days ago. I would love to drive cross county and back and be the first to do it on 60 gallons. But I don't have the vacation time at the moment. Been taking quite a days off lately to compete in 3 gun matches. I'd do a cross county trip in the FFH to some matches, but it just won't hold all my gear.
DeeCee Report post Posted October 23, 2014 Recently completed a 1200+ mile trip with most of the driving at 65 to 75 mph. Cars computer reported 42.4 mpg. The actual based on gas consumed was 39.9. Travel since the trip has been local with max speeds around 45 to 55 mph. Current mileage as per the cars computer is 55.3 mpg. Higher speeds sure put a dent in this car's mileage although 40 mpg is still not too shabby. 1 jeff_h reacted to this
