  1. GREAT find. My favorite comments related to the how driving felt between the HAH and the FFH. The HAH felt disconnected where the FFH felt like a normal car. IMHO, the best compliment is that the hybrid drive is transparent in the FFH.
  2. KLH

    New Hybrid!

Congrats on the purchase. I hope you get your issue sorted.
  3. I have new grille covers now (Thanks Paul!). They're great and easy to install. Here's a good chuckle. When I went to clean the grille before installing the covers, I forgot that it was 10*F outside. I wondered why the grille was getting dirtier the more I sprayed Windex on it. The Windex was freezing and building up. D'Oh. I'll have more to report after I drive with the covers on for a bit.
  4. I use Engage... because I like driving in blue. Wait, I don't have the mileage on the battery like that, nor the MPGe. This must be the Energi's Engage screen. D'Oh.
  5. Congrats! I think that you'll enjoy this car more than you thought you would...
  6. It sounds like using a grille cover is a great idea. Any consensus on covering just the top... or should we cover both top and bottom?
  7. Welcome to the FFH forums, Ashley!
  8. Wow. This is a welcome thread? Guys, let's give Kim a chance to breathe... I'll just say welcome to the FFH board. I love my '13 loaded SE with MFT.
  9. +1 I didn't know that this was there!
  10. I have a '13 and there's nothing that I think that I'm missing on my car. I still love it... perhaps even a little more.
  11. Amazing. That is a LOT of miles. Wow.
  12. It can be done with the help of a truck...
  13. I'm traveling in Bangalore, India this week. When I shared that I just purchased a FFH, they gave me blank stares. Upon a little investigating, I see why. In India, the FF isn't what we're used to: Lolwut? That looks nothing like our car. It looks like a stretched Honda CRV! No wonder I got blank stares. ... and the Indian Ford Fusion was discontinued in 2012...
  14. Well, both of my gripes are user errors, so... now I love MFT!
  15. My biggest gripe is that there's no setting to turn the screen off if not in use. The screen can be bright at night. Still, MFT works well for me; it's much better than I thought it would be. The best part of MFT is the support for voice commands. The worst part is that you cannot reorder the entertainment sources. Since I stream via bluetooth from my phone often - and that source is on the bottom part of the sources - I have to press "Entertainment", then, scroll down sources, then select "BT Stereo" as my source. If for some reason, the bluetooth drops, then the previous source (usually the FM radio) is selected. Then I have to press "Entertainment", then, scroll down sources, then select "BT Stereo" as my source. If we could reorder the music sources, then I'd simply set the BT Stereo as the top of the list.
  16. Temps around Boston have been around freezing and I've definitely noticed a lowered MPG. I was ~43.1 and now I'm ~39.9. Where's that grill cover?
  17. I have a loaded '13 FFH SE. This is what the steering wheel has: Left: * Direction and select controls for the left screen menu * ACC buttons for: on/off, resume/cancel, accelerate (set +), decelerate (set -), add distance to maintain to next car, and subtract distance to maintain to next car. Right: * Direction and select controls for the left screen menu * Phone/Radio Presets: Answer phone (if phone call needs answering), Hang up phone (if phone being used), otherwise the same buttons switch between radio presets (left is previous preset, right is next preset)* Voice commands: Start voice command, Cancel voice command (which also doubles as a mute button when voice commands aren't being used)* Radio/Phone volume: Top is volume up, Bottom is volume down As for controlling climate and nav via steering wheel, I believe you can use voice commands to do both... which IMHO is better than using buttons. As for MFT, it's fine. I don't think that it's tough to use. It does what I want it to. If there's anything missing, it's the ability to turn the screen off easily (as it's a little bright at night). ACC, the reverse camera, and BLIS are absolutely fantastic - in that order. When taken as a whole, driving my loaded FFH SE has a premium car feel that I just love... and that alone exceed all of my expectations.
  18. You mean "password" isn't secure for a password? Dammit.
  19. I saw my first FFH last week! It was white and looked sweet! Right after I saw two C-Max Hybrids.
  20. Come on, guys. There must be someone in Atlanta that can help out ptjones. Yeah, Boston's temps are dropping fast and I want my fuel efficiency!
  21. I've located and solved one of two significant rattles in my '13 FFH. The one I've solved was found in the dome-light area. I was able to test that this was the case when I stopped the rattle by pressing the area between the two dome-lights. In any case, if you (gently and evenly) pull the dome-light down, you'll see a large molex connector secured to-the-car and a small molex connector unsecured and floating about. Guess which molex connector I duct-taped to the roof? You guessed it - the small molex connector. Voila! The rattle is gone.
  22. I just stop breathing on my 60+ mile commute. That works pretty well until I reach the parking lot. Then my windows fog over as I gasp for air. In all seriousness, I wonder if the moist air from front passengers just gets trapped in the upper dash area due to the angle of the glass. I'm tempted to try something but think that the only real way to address the issue is to live in a warmer climate. Boston's not exactly warm around now.
