    Floor Mats

Yes, and I am waiting to hear. They should have a lifetime backing, according to their website. Forgot to mention in my 1st post that the edge of the mat, in front of the ring (grommet) has separated from the rest of the material also.
  2. Currently, with mileage at 15,903 I am showing lifetime of 41 mpg. Not at all unhappy, and I regularly get in the mid to upper 40's around town. I am still in love with this car!

    Floor Mats

Update to berber mats from Autosport-- The driver's mat has two issues, within the last 3 months. The plastic ring outlining tyhe hole that fits over the stud on the car's floor has come off. I was able to snap it back over the stud, but it simply came loose from the mat itself. 2nd issue-- the mat is getting fuzzy around the heel area under the gas pedal. Not the best quality materials I have to say. Disappointing!
  4. What is cool about the ad is that they are being honest and telling buyers that the EPA estimate is not necessarily accurate. I remember that was prevalent at one time.
  5. What's interesting here in South Cackalacky is that while prices are often under 2.75 now in the Myrtle Beach Area, they often are also over $3.00, the same day. Obvious gouging going on. If I could count on prices staying down I would retune my Mustang GT for premium and burn some rubber, but of course we can't expect these prices to last.
  6. No battery problems or issues, but a couple of comments. I was gone for over 3 weeks, and my car started up just as if I had driven it 1 day ago. I was a little concerned, but won't be in the future. When I was in Italy I saw NO Mondeo hybrids, and just a couple (less than 5) Prius. As many know already, almost everything is Diesel powered. I visited only small towns, which may explain the lack of hybrids, since there was a serious lack of parking with electrical access. Most cars stayed on the streets their entire life. Also, few were clean of course. I saw but one CMax the entire time.
  7. I have a little over 13000 now, and lifetime is 40.1. I can easily get mid to upper 40's, but have to do some hypermiling, which I don't do much. I am extremely happy with the mileage. A full size sedan averaging 40, for almost exclusively city driving? What's not to like?

    MPG Happy Talk

True, and I agree that it should be the opposite.
  9. Thanks for posting this info and pics- really helpful. Off topic, at least for the Fusion, but here's what happened with my Mustang tires recently: A little over 2 years ago I bought 4 tires from Costco for the Mustang. Michelin Super High Performance All Season, with a 45,000 mile warranty. Very sticky tires that I loved on the car. Much better grip than the OEM tires. About a week ago I noticed a cut on one of the rear tires, high up on the sidewall. I checked with the tire shop in Murrells Inlet, and they said it wasn’t repairable. I had about 7000 miles on the tires. The tire store said the tires weren’t manufactured any more, and I would need to replace both rear tires. The reason was because they were directional, and now discontinued. Both tires had to match. I called Costco and found they had 4 of the tires that Michelin was now making as the 3rd gen of this type of tire. They mounted and balanced two of them, and said since the tire hazard warranty covered the damaged tire, and the tires were no longer being made, the warranty would also cover the 2nd tire! Total cost with tax was $11.22. Two brand new, latest gen tires for that price? I am now a firm believer in buying my tires from Costco.
  10. The comfort and quality has improved greatly, hasn't it?Most critics consider the new Sting Ray to be on a par with almost any super car.
  11. Wondering if anyone has heard that Weather Tech is now making these. Good American made products. I just got an email from them stating they were available for 2014 and 2015 Fusion.
  12. Got it today, and MAN! was that an easy mod. Took maybe 3 minutes.
  13. At or under 70 is usually a good bet. I keep it at 65 and typically get 43mpg. Nothing to complain about!
  14. Definitely let it soak as much as possible. There are commercial bug cleaners, but I found that a very careful use of 3M rubbing compound works. Only buy the finest grit.
  15. I see that hitch there. Did the install require any drilling? Online reviews say you just fish the bolts into existing holes. Do you think it makes the car more susceptible to scraping on curbs? Thanks
  16. Definitely recommend you talk to the dealer. My 13 with spoiler stays up just fine. Unfortunately I did lose the big rubber "bumper" on the right side. It kept coming off, and one day just fell out somewhere. I know Ford wants the trunk lid to stay open, so move up the chain of command if necessary and show them some posts here maybe.
  17. Should have mine in a couple of days. I was at my dealer yesterday, waiting for my Mustang to be serviced. I happened to be reading some posts here, and looked up the part #. I don't mind a little growl when I accelerate to merge, but I hope this tube helps some in town. More later after I put it on. Stay cool in this heat!
  18. My friend just traded his 2008 Vette for the new Sting Ray. Silver with black accents and power convertable roof. What a Machine! Mileage be dawned, that car is amazing, and an extreme value compared to any sports car in its class. The tires are almost racing slicks, the fit and finish is exceptional, and power delivery is amazing. Can't wait for the new Mustang to hit the street this Fall. No HP data yet, but it should be close to the base Vette. Any one else been up close to the Sting Ray?
  19. Welcome, and best of luck with your new car! There are some real fanatics here, with a LOT of info, so dig around in any topic you can think of. I recently made a trip to Wash. DC on under 12 gallons, from Myrtle Beach, for a total of about 460 MI. I did not try the 500 mile thing, but could have made it easily.
  20. Full synthetic is my preference, especially in my Mustang GT, which has does get some spirited driving. I go with the 10,000 or just a bit under. I have rarely put my foot in it hard in the Fusion. I know a number of classic car buffs who only change the filter at 10,000 if the synthetic oil looks good. It simply does not break down easily.
  21. This is a great ongoing topic! What I would like to say, as a fanboy, is that, having driven all of the mentioned hybrids, the Fusion is my choice. It remains my choice for a number of reasons, not the least of which is the fact that once it learns a regularly driven route it is capable of returning amazing mileage. I would think that is true of the others, though I think the FFH 'learning' software is unique. I do drive mine like a regular car most of the time, but try to engage the battery as much as possible. I don't consider it hypermiling, but I am mindful of my technique with the gas and the brakes. If any owner, or legitimate car tester, drives their car differently than I do, fine! All I know is that hybrids like ours are amazing technological feats, and for whatever reasons anyone has for buying them, make sense. Of course most of us here are enthusiasts, and most try to maximize mileage, with some taking it to extremes. Much of this talk about mileage is subjective, and king of personal. How I drive, the mileage I get, and whether or not I am satisfied is based on my expectations, and feeling whether or not I am getting my money's worth. Keep this topic going- it is always interesting.
  22. I'm sorry, is there any question that we are driving the best looking car? No, I didn't think so!
  23. Recently drove from Myrtle Beach area to Wash DC, on less than a tank of gas. Tank could be larger, but that's not a bad run, well over 400 miles on less than 13 gallons.
  24. I like my nav, as far as it being helpful goes. It has some annoying specifics, but it is accurate and finds what I am looking for, every time.
