  1. Bought my 2013 Titanium new, and had it routinely serviced only by Ford. No issues really, just an occasional wanky up/down auto window driver's side. Fixable, but annoying. Other than that, a great car. Sold it this month for a Honda Accord Hybrid, touring. The Honda doesn't handle as 'crisply', but is loaded with safety features that I love. Mileage so far is right at 44mpg. I averaged 43 over the 5 years with the Fusion. The Honda is quieter, and will have better resale, and has a GIANT trunk. No evidence of batteries in the car. Fusion was very limiting in that regard. Loved the Fusion, love the Honda. Best of luck to everyone, and keep up this great forum.
  2. I bought a spare that is within 1/4 inch of the actual tire size, on a steel rim. I don't need the mobility kit. Can I just reset the warning as shown on the video? Never mind! I did reset it, and checked the air pressure on my spare, which fits nicely into the well provided. Thanks for the great video!
  3. My 2013 has gone as long as 7 weeks parked in my garage, and rolled out immediately when I got home. Just this Spring actually.
  4. Anyone taken their vehicle in for this front seat belt pretensioner cable replacement? I am wondering about the time it takes. thanks Dale
  5. I Put some Weather Techs on my car, and one of the back ones actually fell off and got lost while driving! Front ones are great, but I had to remove the remaining back one. The back ones kept slipping when the windows went down. There is no tape used for these.
  6. Just got back from an oil change at 38000 miles and the tires have been showing a lot of wear for some time. Dealer priced 3 tires, the Pirelli, Conti and Goodyear Eagle Sport. All are all season, which I don't need, and the 1st two are 70,000 mile rubber. They seem pretty close, and my dealer's prices are very good. Since there have been a number of recommendations for the Conti PureContact I think those are the ones for me. Guess I don't need summer tires like are on my Mustang GT.
  7. I agree. I remember Consumer Reports downgrading the car sharply for it. The best driving sedan of it's type, and they focus on the Sync system!
  8. Good part of this was that they fixed a piece of black trim on the edge of the front window along side that little view window. It's tight now. I forgot to ask for that to be done, but it was noticed and taken care of. Nice
  9. Just referring to the trunk, I have the Weathertec, and absolutely am pleased. Fit is perfect, plus they clean easily. I have carpeted mats inside, but for the trunk the Weathertec is the way to go.
  10. I have a K&N cold air intake on my Mustang GT for years. It is allowing better performance, but not better mileage. When I tune the engine for maximum performance and high octane It definitely roars when I stand on it. I am very pleased with my K&N setup. On my fusion I think I will stick with the stock filter.
  11. Just had the latches replaced. It took the dealer almost two days to get it done. I got a loaner, so no big deal, but any ideas on why it would take this long? They claimed to have the parts when I brought the car in.
  12. Still happy with the color I choose. Ice Storm stays cleaner (looks that way at least) far better than a dark color. It is also still distinctive, tho I have seen one exactly like mine here in the community I live in. After going on 2.5 years, I still have only one small ding, and NO scratches or chips!

    MPG Happy Talk

My 2013 Titanium, which has always been driven as a normal car, mostly in city driving, has a lifetime average of 39.9. I am very happy with that. It is not unusual, for short local trips, to achieve in the high 50s, as it happened yesterday when I saw 59mpg for a trip of about 3 miles. I am nothing but satisfied, and the car as been absolutely rock solid vis a vis mileage. There was no break in period that I could discern.
  14. I love this topic. It seems that most of us agree that we did not buy a hybrid for the payback factor. Instead we got one for the total experience, which for me is a satisfying one every time I drive it.

    MPG Happy Talk

Since the topic now includes a non FFH, I will post a remark about a rental car I am driving in Mpls.this week. It is a brand new Chrysler 200. It is getting 27mpg in mixed driving. I think it has a 7 speed transmission, because it seems to shift a lot.
  16. I think the thread is in window tinting. I seem to remember talking about having my windows tinted, and being offered the film on the sills, rear bumper, around handles, etc.
  17. The battery must have been fully charged, as I never get near this figure at freeway speeds. I am happy with a typical 43 MPG though, which is what I had hoped for when I bought the car. I do so little highway driving, except for vacation trips, that I am extremely happy with the city average.
  18. I must say I was a bit disappointed, in that I was expecting a very noticeable difference. There is some, but not much. I think the noise is an issue that Ford has addressed in the current model, but it is louder than I would like, even with the new part.
  19. Dealer uses their blend, and I am confident 10000 mi is ok. I use full synthetic on my Mustang Gt and drive it hard. It stays clean for over 10000 mi.
  20. I used a newly formatted memory stick and had no problems doing the update about a year ago on my '13 FFH. Instructions must be followed exactly as I recall
  21. I learned many years ago that removing bugs was not for sissies. It was after trip to North Dakota that i tried a plastic scrubber and really scratched the clear coat! Now id I encounter the love bugs in Florida I very carefully use a rubbing compound to get the SOBs off.
