  1. Like you already know, you can watch movies only when connected through the RCA inputs. You can't use BT, USB or the built-in CD (no DVD) drive. It sounds like you're on the right track - you already tried an iPod with RCA cables and it didn't work. Try your RCA cable and iPod combination on a regular TV. That will tell you if the problem really is the cable (as the iPod says) or MFT. If it still doesn't work on a TV, buy another cable. If it works on the TV, but not MFT you'll need another device to play the video ...
  2. Comparing to HD radio, FM radio and Sirius sound really bad ... Just turn HD radio on and off ... (of course, you have to have a Titanium with the Sony sound system to do this). If you just have an SE you won't notice it as much. Can't listen to differences on the same song and the sound system isn't as good :)
  3. I believe the Fusions prior to 2013 were able to play them from the build-in drive. They removed that functionality in ours ...
  4. The warning goes off after the vehicle reaches a certain speed, so maybe the car wasn't moving fast enough?
  5. I was just checking my account and saw the same message. I have no idea what this is ... Also, Etis has this: Vehicle Software Vehicle software information is available for your selected vehicle. Click here to view further information.
  6. I was offered $200/wheel by a local wheel place. Ford wants $800 for one....
  7. Can you share the link to the platform rack you got?
  8. I just ordered the Curt hitch for $97.91 (semi-annual sale - 15% off $99 with code EAG1315) ... I think I'm going to get a bike rack like this one next: http://www.a1-autoracks.com/pro-series-q-slot-2-bike-hitch-carrier-63134.html
  9. Good luck finding a quiet garage at a dealership. My dealer couldn't even hear the loud ping pong axle noise...
  10. My VHR shows the same thing, but it started happening before the update.
  11. What browser are you using? Java doesn't work in Chrome, so you have to use Safari.
  12. That sounds like a fun time! Check out page 68 of the OM. The +and - buttons to dim the instrument panel are on the left side of the steering wheel, to the right of the headlamp dial. Mine doesn't reset the cruise speed to 29 MPH when I stop (keeping the engine on). I do have to turn it on every time I turn on the car - very annoying !!!
  13. A couple years ago we had a tornado touch down around here and there was a GM dealership close by. Lots of their cars had damage and they fixed them up. They told me the cars will be sold at a lower price, but don't know how much lower or even if they were telling prospective buyers about the damage.
  14. I just checked my VIN on etis.ford.com and saw this: Outstanding Field Service Actions 12M02 - SYNC WITH MYFORD/MYLINCOLN TOUCH - WARRANTY EXTENSION COVERING ACCESSORY PROTOCO L INTERFACE MODULE (APIM) I think it's the 3.6.2 update, but does anyone know for sure? Since I already updated mine on Monday, shouldn't it have cleared by now? It could also be the warranty extension up to 5 years/ unlimited miles, but this wasn't there last week and the extended warranty has been in place for some time.
  15. Check your VIN on Etis (http://www.etis.ford.com/vehicleRegSelector.do) and see if this shows up as a customer service action. If it doesn't you should be good. You can also test if your car goes in EV over 62MPH. If it does you're all set. When was the car built? Since the update came out on July 26th, the dealer had time to apply it (even if the car wasn't build with the update).
  16. My atomic clock does this all the time and it has a lot less processing power/code than MFT. My cell phones also always know what time it is, but they get it from the carriers.
  17. Well, the rattle sound I was hearing is gone (yay!), so it wasn't coming from the tension bars.I'm thinking of just sticking some padding on the rear deck where the bars could touch it, just in case. There's no other reason to have the bars swapped out, so this solution will work and prevent any possible sounds from the 2 bars.
  18. Hold down the Power and Volume Down buttons.
  19. Slightly off topic - do you have any errors on the BHR? I ran mine a few times and every time the Restraints & Driver Assistance and Checks, Fluids & Filters tests say SYSTEM UNAVAILABLE. I don't want to take it to the dealer again ...
  20. Well, I tried to follow the instructions in the TSB and remove the tension bars and I failed ... I took everything apart, but couldn't do step 8 ... I tried and I tried, I could life up, but couldn't move it forward at the same time. Looking at how the tension bars are installed, I'm included to think it doesn't really matter which one is on top (other than additional protection from touching the rear deck). I put a microfiber cloth on top of both bars to simulate the rubber sleeve and the the sound I was hearing is still there. Oh well, I put it all back together and took it for a test drive. I couldn't hear that sound, but the real test will be in the morning when I take my normal route to work which is a lot bumpier than my test drive today. I hope that rattling sound is gone for good ... and i don't know if I'm going to bother having the dealer swap out the bars again.
  21. You don't have to remove the navigation SD card, but not sure about the USB drive with music. It definitely works if you don't have another USB drive plugged in at the same time. Just keep the car running and don't remove the usb drive with the update until you hit OK on the final step.
  22. So I checked and the separator is there BUT they put it on the bottom bar instead of the top one! I'm pretty sure the top bar hits the car when I go over bumps. Before the TSB: After the TSB:
