hybridbear Report post Posted August 27, 2014 (edited) Will this work on the 2014 Ford Fusion Hybrid Titanium?Since you're in LA you should connect with GrySql & GKinLA as they have had great service experiences at their dealership. They have an exceptional SA who makes sure things are done correctly and treats them well. I wish I could find a dealership who's half as good as theirs! milleron Report post Posted August 27, 2014 acdii,This problem irks me so much that I'm actually considering driving out of state to get my freakin' DRLs turned on. Just where is your dealer, and are you sure that since your success, they've not succumbed to the lunacy at Ford Corporate? Ron

Fingers crossed. It would be interesting to see if a Lincoln dealer can do this. I have a 2014 MKZ-h and there is a user setting to turn the DRLs on or off in the settings>lights options. Since the MKZ has this built in, I wonder if Lincoln techs can/will drag it out of a FFH.

Since the MKZ has this built in, I wonder if Lincoln techs can/will drag it out of a FFH.This question was brought up several times before the 2014 MY, because the '13 MKZ Hybrid did not have its DRLs enabled, and that function was not owner-controllable. I think that's why a few people have had success at Lincoln dealers. I'm going to try as soon as I get time.

Since the MKZ has this built in, I wonder if Lincoln techs can/will drag it out of a FFH.The Lincoln dealer by us has turned DRLs on on a number of Fusions. When I initially talked to them, they told me they can and will turn them on. Before getting to the Lincoln dealer, my SA at the Ford dealer called me and asked me to stop by. I did and the Ford dealer turned them on for me. Later I stopped by the Lincoln dealer to let them know I was able to get the DRLs turned on and that is when they told me that I could bring the FFH to them for any work and that they have turned on DRLs in Fusions before. The LEDs illuminate with the parking lamps, which means I wouldn't be able to leave my lights set to AUTO and have the LEDs on during the day. The LED Bar White DRL is tied into the parklightsLED Bar turns to Amber and blinks with the turn signal, then comes back to white after the signal is turned off
jaffeb Report post Posted September 30, 2014 Just picked up my 2015 Fusion hybrid se today. I asked, and the (genius) sales rep said, no, no running lights. I spent untold hours reading this thread up to like page 17, where someone said the 2015 does indeed have DRL. I went outside, took the car out of park, and YES, DRL! Thank you all for posting! 1 corncobs reacted to this

Thank you all for posting!Welcome to the Forum. That's a good story. The 2015's DRL's can be turned on/off by the owner. If the Sales rep would read the brochure or visit the Ford website that information is included in the Design section about the headlamps. You should spend time reading your Owner's Manual and pushing all the buttons (while parked) to find out what else the crack Sales Rep forgot to tell you. From the website:'The projector headlamps clearly communicate the persona of this thoroughly modern vehicle. The headlamps have a bolder, wider appearance, compared to the tall headlamps seen on many production cars. New for 2015 models are standard configurable (you activate them) daytime running lamps. Standard automatic headlamps activate when the light lessens. Available automatic high-beam headlamps provide illumination as you need it. When activated, they automatically change modes, going from low beam to high beam. Included in the Driver-Assist Package.' nv rick Report post Posted October 1, 2014 Auto high beam lamps are something that I really like. I have them on my MKZ and had them on my '11 MKS. Traveling between home and Las Vegas they really come in handy, especially going up through the Mountain Springs pass. High beams are great in the desert, especially in areas where you see signs for wild horses and burros as well as mountain sheep. And you don't have to worry about blinding oncoming traffic. murphy Report post Posted October 10, 2014 An SA after all is just a clerk that takes your information and creates a work order. One of the SAs at my dealer is always trying to convince me that my oil needs to be changed every 3000 miles. I expect he gets a commission on every oil change he sells. m8knuthink Report post Posted October 10, 2014 :)Funny that we need to persevere so diligently to get the experts to do their jobs correctly.Gkinla and I go to the same Dealer, he did a lot of the groundwork at the Dealer so that I could get mine done and provide that post. There are a lot of good folks here helping with these various problems. GrySql Report post Posted October 10, 2014 (edited) I see you are in SoCal... what dealer do you go to?South Bay Ford in Hawthorne for the major repairs and big warranty work, but it's 70 miles one way from me. It's where I bought the car. They have over 140 service bays and good EV Tech's. If it's a minor issue, like a simple software update, I go to my local Dealer 9 miles away.Gkinla also goes to SBF, we meet occasionally, it's nice to say howdy to a name you see on the Forum.
