  1. It was down last night, but working today. I keep seeing a button for click for PIN that disappears once the page loads. I also noticed that I have not received any more credits for purchasing the Focus like I did when I got the Fusion and Flex. Cheapskates.
  2. Yeah, when the surge while turn happens to you, you will know! :) So far I have only heard of one other person experiencing this, so hopefully it is isolated to a very small group of cars, better yet, hopefully Ford can find the cause and fix it. The other braking problem I have may just be the SOC on my batteries, though for at least 40K miles the SOC has always been high and I don't recall having the brakes do what they do. It is very strange what they do, one time, 60-0 good solid brake feel, moderate pedal pressure, in fact have to lighten up a touch so I actually make it to the stop sign before stopping, 100%, then there are other times where same amount of pedal pressure, the car just doesn't feel like it is slowing, and have to apply more and more pressure to get it to slow, and the only way to get 100% is to let the car slow down with little pressure or hydraulics kick in and I get a low score. I have seen it happen though with HVB at 50%, so question whether or not it is SOC related. Couple with the surge while turning, if I can't get the car to slow down enough on regen then hit the turn going a little faster than I should, the surge is quite noticeable, in fact it will push the nose to the left on a right turn, or right on a left turn. In both cases though, if you are not accustomed to driving this car every day, you would never notice it. I had to take the SM out and point out what the complaint is on the surging while turning. I can get it to happen almost any time in either direction, and at any speed. Rough guess is there is a problem with the brake pedal and some sensor tied into the steering. They may be related, or may be totally separate issues.
  3. Im just looking at it from a different perspective, wider tires on stock rims. The footprint will be different than stock.
  4. My next vehicle will not have Nav. I was looking at 2014 F150 Lariats, and only reason I would consider Nav is to have the touch screen which has other functions, like Applink thumbing and such, but not for the nav itself.
  5. There was less damage to my Flex, and it was over $4K, however 1/4 of that cost was for one headlight assembly. But looking at that, there is some under structure that is damaged, the hood is an obvious sign of this and it is sitting so high up. I'm guessing just in exterior parts at least $2000 in parts between the hood, light, grill, bumper and fender. Was there damage to the other fender from the hood?
  6. They will if you dont wipe it up. :)
  7. Thanks. The SM who I used to work with would have been more attentive to the issue, but he got promoted and the other guy I felt is giving me the brush off, acting like I dont know how the system works(until he learned how it works, then his attitude changed).
  8. Hmm if NOT a Ford dealer, maybe he found a real mechanic! LOL I am so fed up with the wacky braking I turned off the brake coach since no matter how I try to stop I can rarely get 100%. Last trip I took in it I said screw it and just braked like a normal car, at least now I can stop at the line.
  9. Wonder which is worse, faulty door latch, which if you are belted in the car is not that bad a problem, or brake lines that rot out and can blow out at anytime causing loss of braking. HMMM.
  10. Ditto, etis doesnt work anymore. FOS is SLOW too.
  11. I got 17 MPG Oh wait wrong forum. LOL
  12. Mine has done that at times too, no clue what it is. Ties in with the weird transmission not in park when the car isn't even running. I think these cars are just a touch below a starship with out everything is tied together.
  13. 4 more hours, still not repaired, week #5 without a working refrigerator. Supposedly LG is to replace it, waiting on them to call to arrange it.
  14. I doubt overall diameter could be matched, that would affect speed sensors. The wider tread on the ground might affect wheel bias during cornering, if the car uses any of those inputs for stability control. With how sensitive these cars are, anything is possible.
  15. Being that I was a truck driver, had I seen this happening next to me, I would have backed down to clear the road, had the pickup then matched my speed, well now he is clearly playing games. Reason I would back down is shown in that video, its how I avoided something like this a few times. Of course I also flipped to channel 9 and alerted the troopers and gave the mile marker. It's just how one becomes a responsible driver.
  16. I have to agree with HB. The first one I got, what a lemon, but I did give Ford a second chance and the HyTi has been an exceptional car. While I may not be getting high MPG like others, I don't care because it is getting what I expect out of it, and thats really all that matters. On the flip side, because of the shoddy support that I got on the last one, and what appears to be happening again on this one with a clearly obvious issue that is not normal, I doubt I will ever get another one. In fact at this time due to other circumstances, I may be looking at other manufacturers vehicles to replace the Fusion. Not so much because of the weird braking issue, but because I am no longer comfortable in the car on anything longer than 20 minutes, and I discovered its more than just the shape of the seat, its the fact I am partially reclined, with my leg out ahead instead of directly under me like it is in the Flex or a Pickup, and that's what is causing my pains, so swapping out to the SE seat would be a waste of time as I sat in one the other day and I could still feel the twinge that later becomes the pain. I really dont want to get rid of the Fusion, it is still one of the most stylish cars on the road, and the tech is still top notch, none of the other cars in its class can keep itself between the lines, all the others have lane departure warning, but dont help nudge the car back.
  17. Hmm, I wonder... nah too simple, probably not. Not showing as a recall yet, FSAN 14B03
  18. PM sent. Came too close for comfort to another car during a turn, pretty sure the other driver may have had skid marks, and not on the road.
  19. Yeah, these are hybrids, and modding them is something to leave to the experts(Ford). LOL Shoot half the time even Ford doesn't know whats wrong with them.
  20. The time I needed 911 assist, it didn't work, not sure why, but the phone itself was the problem, The Flex kept trying to call until it eventually did connect. Then again, if you think the Fusion is common now, at least you aren't driving one of these
  21. 45K miles Front Rear. Keep in mind rear brakes do more of the stopping than fronts under normal braking, so there will be slightly more wear on the rotors.
  22. Like my last post, the meguiars wipes work really well. I also use Lexol cream. The one thing to keep in mind, car leather in the Fusion is nothing like the leather used for furniture, it has tighter pores and a tougher finish on it, so not many products can penetrate the surface, and all they really do is clean the surface. Older car leather was different and actually do soak up the conditioners.
  23. Well the main reason there are studs under the hood is if the battery is dead, you cant really open the trunk without dropping the back seats and crawling in. It is much easier to pop the hood open. The other reason is it is easy to damage the sensor on the battery. Jumper clamps can easily snap it if they are not put on carefully.
