  1. You can pull up your windows sticker when it shows up by using this linkand replacing the #### with your vin http://services.forddirect.fordvehicles.co...f?vin=######### other than that you have to call their 1800 number to get any updates. I think they update their systems Thursday nights so no use in asking any more than once a week on Friday
  2. The gas at our local shell I believe has no ethanol in it yet (or they just haven't posted the sticker clearly)... I say yet because I have noticed it start popping up in cities around ours. As for octane, from my limited research a while back (while also looking up top tier gas) I believe the consensus was that the octane level did not correlate to better gas mileage.
  3. Received my warranty from Jeremy (buy-ford-warranty) today in the mail. My dealership wouldn't match his price so they lost out. Like many have said, dealerships who chose not to match the price may do so for lack of profit, but any profit is better than zero profit. Any online dealers sell the maintenance plans at a good price?
  4. I buy shell and shell only simply because it is considered one of the "top tier" gasoline's. I started this with my Jeep about 2 years ago after a lot of research online about the quality of gas for the life of the engine, along with the fact that my mpg on my jeep went up 2mpg on average by using shell only. ALSO, you should pick up a Shell Platinum credit card (assuming they still offer it) because it gives you 5% off all shell gas. As long as you don't keep a balance on it and get stuck with interest, it is a great deal.
  5. Not to break up the fight or anything... :finger: but does any one else find it annoying that you cant view a list of the currently queued up music? or add multiple artists to a queue? I know you can create a playlist for your music but would be nice to do it on the fly like you can on windows media player... kinda like a "add to now playing playlist" button when you click on an artist This is of course for the nav equipped systems
  6. When I purchased the power code remote with the car I was not aware there were different models sold by ford. Mine doe not look like yours so I assume it is not bi directional. Oh well.
  7. Ok, so clearly I am doing something wrong or read somethign wrong in the booklet.... When i press and hold the remote start key I just get the flashing red light while pressing the button... not a green light. should I be getting a green light to confirm it worked? The car does start after holding down the button for ~2 seconds while the red light is quickly flashing.
  8. I graduated back in May of 2007. I have no clue what the stipulations/qualification dates were for the 500 rebate but they gave it to me. I didn't even ask about the rebate, the finance lady just walked in and said they were able to knock another 500.00 off. I was pretty surprised because most rebates are not applicable to the hybrids... oh well, made me happy haha
  9. Not sure what any of this information will do for you but I bought it from Eddie Yaklin Ford in Kingsville, TX Cash price: 29925.00 (502A, powercode remote, tuxedo black, med light stone interior) Rebate: 500.00 college grad rebate total before fees: 29425.00 Tax Credit: should be 1,700.00 since it was purchased prior to 01OCT09 Also not sure why you are so surprised to hear this price because it seems a bunch of other people have been able to pay under 30k for theirs as well with the same options Keep in mind that a "hard to get FFH" doesn't apply because I ordered mine. p.s. I was in the dealership for a good 2 hours before I got them to go that low on the price btw. Having a fully functional car made it no rush which put the ball in my court. Also, this all happened prior to cash for clunkers so they were not selling many cars either
  10. Ah, was so used to my Jeep locking all windows except the driver. Guess I could have looked it up first :)
  11. I am not sure if I am missing something, but to lock window use from everyone but the driver, you should only have to use the window lock switch on the driver door panel correct? I set to lock after I got my windows tinted to prevent passengers from accidentally putting the windows down. However, when going out last night my buddy in the front passenger seat put the window down even though the lock was set to on.... any ideas?
  12. I bet the FFH will do alright in poor conditions, but to me I don't see the point in not driving my jeep just to be safe. Plus, in the Jeep I have no problem aiming at puddles to have a little fun ;)
  13. Thanks for all the replies, will definitely bring this up when I bring it back for them to complete the back window dots. Hopefully the guy doesn't hassle me cause if they have to use all new tint to fix the problems, it is going to cost them. I read somewhere that the tint I used costs them 750 a roll (enough for 3 standard cars) On a side not, did my first fill up from the tank that came with the car.... 524 miles, 15.32gal at fill up, 34.2 mpg (~70% hwy @avg speed of 70-75, a/c set to ~72, recirc)
  14. Looks like I will have to ask them to go under that rubber piece somehow. Any chance you can take a pic (in case he says it isn't possible)
  15. You shouldn't expect to get anything over 29k. I have the black with 502a + powercode and paid 29.5. The dealer actually threw in a 500.00 for credit for college graduates which made it just shy of 29k (somehow I qualified even though it was just over 2 years ago when I graduated) p.s. just for fun I checked on KBB and Nada... still no option for 2010 so no luck getting a used estimate
  16. I guess the question is though has anyone had their FFH done properly on those triangle pieces? That piece of rubber looks like it is firmly on there and not sure if it can be removed for tinting and then replaced without damaging it/messing something up
  17. When I told my dealer about the price I was offered from buy-ford-warranty they said it was only 100.00 below what they were allowed to sell it for (so extra 100 and it could be finance with the car, otherwise you have to pay it online in full one time). If your dealer told you it was a couple hundred lower than he was offering to what he was willing to go down to, not what he was allowed to go down to. My dealer showed me the ford document with their plans that listed their lowest price they could offer the customer. She said it could have been different online possibly because the restrictions only applied to in store sales... who knows. I opted for the 7yr/100k/$100 deductible for 1080.00 + same day rental option which was an additional 90(i think)
  18. Thanks for the quick replies. Looks like I will have to get a spare blade and try to have a different place cut it this time.
  19. Do your flip keys work no matter how you place them in the ignition? Mine only works one side up, not both, unlike the factory keys. had it done at Lowes on their electronic machine
  20. I got my FFH tinted today (opted for the 30% metallic tint which ran me 360 after tax) The guy seemed very knowledgeable about the back window and said they sand the dots prior to tinting which lets it stick to them. There is some separation which he said is normal I just have to bring it back in 1-2 weeks for them to touch it up. He said it is cmpletely normal and after I bring it back you will not be able to tell at all. BUT on to my real question: I noticed after I got home that they dont bring the ting behind the rubber "gasket" on the triangle pieces on both rear windows. So, when looking for the outside, you see a clear color distinction from where the gasket butts up against the window and where the tint is. Have you all noticed this or have your tint shops been able to tint behind that gasket? It is raining right now but I will try to take a pic of it later
  21. Touche, well bravo to ford on this one... or Sony I guess
  22. I have gotten in to the habit of getting in the car, putting the key in and turning to acc while I put my seat belt on, then turning the car on once I am ready to go. Acc will let the system boot up (which is pretty quick in comparison to most aftermarket systems I have seen. My buddies takes 15sec or more to boot up each time) Overall I am VERY happy with the nav system and have had many compliments from passengers ranging from the styling of the nav system to the usability. From a person who used to run a stand alone GPS for years, I dont think I will ever get a car without the nav built in.
  23. Mine with Nav works awesome. The only times it may have trouble is artist names that have weird pronunciations (Matisyahu) but even those it will usually get.
  24. how does it do it then? Where does it pull data for roads, routing, gps location.....
  25. could that just be the free trial period with sirus travel link?
