  1. Just heard back from the dealership. Ford is replacing the dash under the terms of the warranty. While part of me is glad, I'm worried about replacing a factory-installed dashboard at the dealership... especially if other posters had the problem resolved with Meguiars. Should I ask them to try cleaning it first with one of their own products? Or maybe they've gone ahead and approved the replacement because they've received similar complaints from that production line? The new dash is supposed to be here later this week.
  2. I've had my FFH since November and have been very happy. Unfortunately, now that it's gotten hot here in the south I've noticed my black interior has become spottled. Has anyone seen any discoloration on their dash? It looks like it's happening all across the dash. The dealership took pictures and sent them off to Ford. No word on what they might do.
  3. My salesman predicted my FFH would get here in about six weeks. Ordered it Sept. 29. Picked it up November 6. That's a little under six weeks. I'm in Atlanta. About three days before it arrived I called Ford and they said it was in Louisville. Then a day later it was in Hapeville, GA. All in all, a pretty typical delivery story. And so far the car is everything the people in this forum said it would be.
  4. Ordered my FFH black on black 501A on Sept. 30. Looks like the DORA was processed 10-7-09. It says Priority 01 on there, which apparently is a good thing. Any idea why I can't access my window sticker on-line yet?
  5. So this is a government issue rather than a Ford issue? If so, why haven't other car manufacturers had similar problems with their headrests? It's strange to me that Ford seems to have gotten so many things right on this car only to have something simple as a head rest cause discomfort while driving.
  6. Looking forward to getting my black on black FFH (501A leather seats). Ordered on 9-30-09. Got the VIN a week later. No ETA but DORA says Priority 01 which apparently isn't as good as it sounds. Maybe I'll get it by Thanksgiving. Anyway, in all the glowing reports about this car there's one drawback mentioned by a few owners: the headrest. Some owners claim the rigid headrest has given them back problems. It felt a little odd during the test drive, but I didn't find the headrest particularly bothersome. Of course, I only drove the car for 15-20 minutes. Any FFH owners have issues with the headrests?
  7. Ordered my FFH September 28. Salesman sent me the VIN two weeks later but no ETA. I noticed on this forum future owners checking their status on-line, but no one posted a website. (that I could find) Is there one, or do I have to call the 1-800 number and read them my VIN?
