I was kind of worried about this too and my dealer offered up the idea that if the car was not delivered by the 30th, I could go through all of the financing and actually purchase the car prior to arrival. Luckely I got the car just in time so I did not have to worry about it. Would be weird to purchase a car you arent sure will be delivered correctly, but it is an option I guess (assuming your dealership is not already closed for the night)

As for navigation.... it should allow input to a destination while driving if someone is seated in the passenger seat so they can enter the info, not the driver. It already has a sensor to detect for the airbag so maybe in the future editions they can use the same electric signal to unlock some of the navigation features that are usually locked out while driving. The voice thing works great though so at least you can go that route while driving. All in all though I love this car btw

Yea, I was ok with the loose fit for the pocket but if you look on the seam that goes up and across the high/middle part of the seat you can see 2 points where the leather is not tight like the rest of the seam. I will say that looking at it today it seemed a little better so maybe there was some truth when the manager said give it a month to fill out the seat

Call me crazy, but wouldn't it be nice to be able to say "play track" or "play artist" or "call ____" no matter what menue you were in? I dont understand why I have to say "phone" "call ____" as if "call___ " is a function in music as well so I have to specify phone. Or am I stupid and have some setting wrong? Also, is there a way to have the nav screen come back when a call ends without touching anything? I like how it goes to the phone screen when I say call but it would be nice for the map to come back up once I am done with my phone functions (in case of using directions)

So I FINALLY took delivery of my FFH today. First off, the car looks great. I am very happy with the black exterior and stone interior w/502a package. I spent about 3 hours at the dealership while they worked on paperwork and little odds and ends. However, 2 problems: 1) there was a minor scratch about 1-2 inches long (pretty faint) that the dealership will take out on monday 2) This is the big one.... the leather seat was put together poorly on the driver side. As soon as you look at it you can tell the leather was not wrapped around the seat tightly. You can see a bunch of creases on the side of the seat pad. On the back you can see clearly that the leather is not tight at all and almost loosely placed over the padding. On one part it feels like the padding is missing. You can run your hand up the back side panel of the passenger seat and it feels like one smooth cushion. On the drivers side however there seems to be a 2in square chunk of padding missing which in turn causes the leather to not pull tightly around the seat. (I will post pics in a little bit) I am going to have the tinting done either tomorrow or Monday and will post pics of the car.

Half way through (8 weeks, which should have been delivery) the dealer said Ford screwed up the order and they had to re place it all over again. Should have been a tip off when 4 weeks in I was still without a VIN number. As for the 100 miles.... easily haha

Got a call from the dealer today saying the car should be delivered and ready tomorrow morning/early afternoon. Puts me at 15 weeks 3 days from order to delivery.

I would guess that is your problem. I assume the FFH is like most cars when on ICE and the gas milage is going to degrade above 60-65ish. Useless? I think the biggest thing I can't wait for is having it to start the AC before I get in the car to cool it down.

Bought it with mine but won't get the car until next week (hopefully) and will let ya know what I think. Does it matter if it runs the ac off the engine or the electric? If it uses the engine it will use gas, if it uses the battery it will need to use the engine to recharge that energy lost.

Very strange update from FCC today. Last Friday they informed me the car was complete and would ship on the 21st. Today they told me that on the 14th it was sent to "body modification" and is on its way back to the assembly plant. What in the world could that mean? This lady also said they have no estimated delivery listed yet but I should check back next week. How did I go from having an estimated shipping date, to "body modification" and no shipping date? oh yea, and on a crappy note, if it really does take until the week of the 28th to arrive, I won't even be here. I have to head out of town on the 28th for a week... just my luck haha

has anyone shown 100% success with the "heat gun stiff brush" that some people talk about?

Would you get an ugly line though where the tint stopped?

Well shoot, has anybody had success with tinting and having it look perfect on the back window? There has got to be a way or else it is a design flaw in my book

What tint are you allowed to put on the windshield? perfectionist... i foresee a problem then haha. I plan to just bring it up with the tint shop before they even start to confirm they can do it.

Thanks. Did the sound barrier make a difference? Is the paint protection a film like clearbra or just a synthetic type wax? As for news... nothing yet. Dealer told me last week they thought the car would arrive this week but FCC told me last Fri that it wasnt scheduled to ship until the 21st.

so bubbles will dry up on the window but wont dry on the black dots?

can you explain that a bit? did you have to physically push out bubbles from every dot?

Have people been having better luck with tinting the back window around the black dots? If so, do you just tell the guys off the bat about the "heat gun brush" tip or just let them have at it?

Were you happy with the quality of work done at Ziebart? What work did you get gone? Last but not least, if you don't mind, can you post the cost of whatever work you had done there? I am expecting delivery in a week or two and trying to figure out where I want to get my windows tinted and any other things I want done.
