Yeah, but if the dealer did go over every one of the features at delivery on our complex FFHs, then they could easily spend a full day doing that and probably still not cover everything.

But does it work for you Waldo? ;)

How to read the temperature of the engine

With an FFH, it takes me just 10 minutes to fill up, and then I'm ready to go again for an easy 600-650 miles, and gas stations are on every corner, no muss, no fuss. :shift: But my daily commute is on the longer side too. I have no regrets on purchasing my FFH.

My own results in my 2014 FFH for the difference in gauge versus calculated MPGs for each fill-up have been all over the map (most recent fill-ups shown in table below), even when filling from the same pump at the same station. The "Pump" column below shows the pump number followed by the encoding of the cross-streets where the filling station is located. In the not-so-distant past, I have been much more consistent in using the same pump at the same station for many, many times in a row, back when the gas prices weren't changing so drastically from fill-up to fill-up, but the differences between my gauge and calculated MPGs at the same exact pump were still all over the place. Pump Trip Gauge Calc'ed ---- ----- ----- ------ 15lb 270.0 54.8 50.6 15mv 218.4 52.3 51.5 15pu 240.1 53.1 48.4 15mkcc 277.4 56.1 52.0 15mv 277.3 55.9 59.5 15pu 268.0 55.5 48.3 15pu 297.9 57.4 55.3 15pu 278.9 56.5 53.6

I knew I had seen a FFH converted to look like a Fusion ST around somewhere, and I was thinking it was in these FFH forums...finally found it. More photos can be found in his gallery, http://fordfusionhybridforum.com/gallery/album/300-2013-fusion-st-hyabrid/

That fancy, racy new grill that Da0ne is showing off looks like it is crying out for an "ST" emblem to be put on it to me. ;)

From the album: Fuze
SE Appearance Package, wheels and spoiler -
And even if the spoiler produces no appreciable downforce, possibly even at FFH top-speed, it would be a really remarkable engineering feat in itself if they have designed the spoiler to have a totally neutral effect on the air turbulence in the region of the car at all speeds. I would be willing to bet that the spoiler either enhances or detracts from the aerodynamic characteristics of the FFH, particularly at the rear, and most likely does not have a completely neutral effect. Here is the link again to the really cool youtube video of the 2013 Fusion, without the spoiler, being shown in the Ford wind tunnel with the smoke flow characteristics in the wind. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7o8xvuzyowU

If you look really close at the 2016 Fusion Order Guide, the FFH still only comes with 17" wheels. Below are the wheels shown in the 2016 order guide. The only ones that come on the FFH are the ones that specifically say the word, "Hybrid". All of those (all two of them) are only 17". BTW, if you compare the diameters of the 17", 18", and the 19" tires that come on the Fusions, they are all approximately the same diameter. So very little adjustments would be needed for the module doing the speedometer calculations.

Ford pretty much made up my mind for me, by which options they elected to put on the different models of FFH, FFE, and MKZh. It made my choice of getting the HySE FFH very easy to make. I couldn't choose the FFE, the MKZh, or the HyTi since they only came with leather. So that left me with the choice between the FFH S and the FFH SE. Again it was an easy choice for me of the SE over the S, since I had to have the SiriusXM, and I really wanted the sportiness of the 5-spoke wheels and the spoiler that made up the SE Appearance Package. The icing on the cake differences of the SE over the S for me were the power driver's seat and the outside temp on the display. Otherwise I probably would have gone with the S for maximum fuel economy. BTW, the Order Guide for the 2015 FFH says you can get MFT on the S, but I don't see anywhere to select the MFT option in the Build and Price for the S. Edit: However I just noticed the 2016 Order Guide does _not_ show the MFT as an option on the S. But I do really, really like that FFH spoiler. :flirt: It is not gaudy, and is so elegantly sporty. To me, the FFH with the 5-spoke wheels and the spoiler is the old fogey grown-up and roomy version of the Mustang, at least as far as looks go.

47 MPG, on the nose. :camera:

Yeah, I would call that a fender bender, actually a hit-and-run. But no way would I call it a "ding".

Radio went off unexpectedly
Hybrider replied to TonyHzNV's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
I typically only use the steering wheel buttons to control the entertainment. But when my sound, typically XM, locks up, I can't change stations at all using the steering wheel buttons. So for me, when the XM locks up occasionally, it seems that at a minimum the whole entertainment section portion is locked up. I haven't really tried controlling anything else during those lockup periods to see if other portions are locked up too. -
Good eye, hybridwannabe! When I originally read that article posted by HB, I read it as all 2016 hybrid Fusion models would have lower prices than the 2015 models. But after your post, I went back and reread the article, and I think you are right that they were talking only about the base models, the 2016 FFH S and the 2016 FFE SE.

Which is what is so frickin' cool to me about the FFH. That is, when I'm stopped, I'm burning absolutely zero gas. I don't even mind much stopping at red lights anymore because of that. I can even stop and dink with the nav, or just try to figure out what on earth it is that I am trying to do in life, and while I'm stopped, I don't have any worries about being wasteful, because I am burning no gas whatsoever. :bliss:

When I was shopping for my FFH, I did look briefly at the Prius station wagon...BUT, it was a "station wagon", a style that does very little for me at a visceral level. :) Speaking of station wagons, most of the crossovers these days look to me basically like they are just high-rider station wagons.
