Wow! Prices here in Minnesota were down to $3.17 last weekend but by last Tuesday had jumped to $3.49 most places with a few still at $3.39. Now prices are falling again down under $3.30. Good thing we don't buy gas often. Hopefully by the next time we need gas it will be still low. My parents just put the first tank in their Energi. The dealer tank lasted 3 months and 2200 miles. They bought gas when prices were low around $3.20. I told them they could have gone at least another week (they only put in 12 gallons) but it's a good thing they didn't need gas this past weekend when prices were higher. Granted, they haven't used any gas this week so they could have possibly even waited a few more weeks.

Reportedly the lowest state in the union here in South Cackalacky. Prices do vary but many are right at or just under $3.00. By the Way, yesterday on the way home I set a new record of 73.8 MPG for a number of miles trip, not just rolling back and forth on the driveway!

A number of stations had $2.98 this morning in St Charles, MO. Have not been past Sam's or Costco to check what they are at.

Low Country - you got no hills to go up. I love everything about the low country except noseums. Is it alright for a Chicago Yankee to call your fine state South Cackalacky?

$3.02 with membership at Sam's Club in Conroe, TX (North of Houston) , but even more impressive is the $3.23 price for 93 octane that I use in my Genesis.

Down to $2.97 at my favorite Alon station just down our street! It is great. The Alon station keeps it's price 10 cents cheaper than the brand new Valero station across the freeway. We root for the Valero station to lower it's price, since we know the Alon will follow up to keep its price 10 cents less. Gotta love it!

$3.739 at a local Costco in San Diego. Fortunately I only needed 4.844 gallons for the 650 miles driven since my last fill up... Love the EV!

Just filled up today at Mobil.

$3.399 per gallon.

As I pumped the gas they changed the prices to $3.499

BUT, REALLY MOBIL !

You want us to post your vicious behavior on pricing?

These are real prices.

That's an additional $13.20 to swipe a card on 15 gallons for regular.

We have a few doing that here also but only for credit. Debit and cash are the same "discounted" price.

$2.90 at Sams and Costco but I just filled up 2 weeks ago and won't need gas for another month. May have to fill the wife's van to take advantage of the price.

Paid $3.819 at last fill-up (a couple days ago), but noticed price dropped today to $3.799. I'm in Riverside, CA. Everything's ALWAYS more expensive here in sunny CA...

We've talked about gas taxes in this thread so I figured I'd post this article here: http://m.kare11.com/localnews/article?a=6636167&f=1252

The state of MN is looking to add a gas tax at the wholesale level and as a percent, rather than cents per gallon. The theory behind this is that then state revenues will automatically increase with increases in the price of gas.

Since we drive 2 hybrids and pay a comparatively small amount of gas taxes, I'd much rather see them increase gas taxes rather than increasing sales tax. Our sales tax is already pushing 8% and now they're talking about raising it another 0.75%. 15 years ago our sales tax was only 6.5%.

Raise the gas tax to penalize wasteful SUV drivers and leave sales tax alone!! Sales tax is a regressive tax system which unfairly penalizes lower income families. Paying gas tax is a choice because everyone can choose what kind of car to buy and how much to drive and if they want to drive efficiently or not.

I'll now come down off my soap box.

Agree 100% on raising gas taxes, within reason of course, not like raising tax on Cigarettes. Its a much better approach than big brother tracking how many miles you drive. Speaking of Sales tax, I always thought you were charged tax on where you lived when buying a car, and not where you bought it. Where I live tax is 6.25% on a car, where I bought it was 7%. The finance person had to call the State to verify because she thought it was that way too.
