Ted Swing Report post Posted March 16, 2014 Saw this Tuxedo Black HyTi (could be Dark Side - can't really tell) tonight. 1 hybridbear reacted to this
djminfll Report post Posted March 18, 2014 We were in Miami last week and we saw a lot of Fusions. We also saw at least 15 FFHs, including the one in the ditch mentioned above. One noteworthy thing is that we didn't see a single C-Max.I wish I knew you were in Miami - I am in Fort Lauderdale, maybe 30 minutes north of Miami! I would have loved to drive down and meet you. There are lots of Fusions down here, but not many Hybrids, not sure how you saw so many of them. Was one of them a Tuxedo Black with a white decal of a racing greyhound in the back window? That would have been me. :) I agree about the C-Max, I have only seen a handful in the last year. Is South Florida the only area that is using Fusion (ICE) as taxis? I see about 10 a day all over town.
corncobs Report post Posted March 18, 2014 Nope Fusion taxis aren't exclusive to FL ;) I did see one FFH at ORD last October. Btw in two weeks I will be 3.5 h north of you djminfll. 1 djminfll reacted to this
djminfll Report post Posted March 19, 2014 (edited) Nope Fusion taxis aren't exclusive to FL ;) I did see one FFH at ORD last October. I don't understand why they didn't decide to use Hybrids instead of ICE. Based on mpg figures, wouldn't they recoup the difference in a much shorter time? Especially since taxis spend so much time in city driving where the hybrid engine really shines. Additional FFH spotting - I caught the elusive Ginger Ale today, had to take a picture and share! LOL! Ted Swing Report post Posted March 20, 2014 That's a rare one! I think I've only seen one Ginger Ale. Yesterday morning, I saw a Tuxedo Black FFH and a Dark Side FFH (both SE) on my way to work.
corncobs Report post Posted March 30, 2014 We saw countless Fusion but no hybrids as far as I can tell. Unfortunately we also saw this... 1 Ted Swing reacted to this
Ted Swing Report post Posted March 31, 2014 Ouch. That hurts to see! :(
hybridbear Report post Posted March 31, 2014 Ouch! Was that a FFH that's smashed? Hard to see from pic angle if rims are hybrid rims or if it has door badge.
corncobs Report post Posted March 31, 2014 There was no door badge or at least anymore. Now that you mentioned the wheels it probably was since it had the 18" luxury wheels and I was thinking about swapping out my two rims that are slightly damaged. Are those wheels also available for regular Fusions?

The 17-inch standard wheels on the FFH are hybrid only wheels.
hybridbear Report post Posted April 6, 2014 Yesterday I was driving down to Faribault and passed a RR Fusion Energi Titanium on the freeway. He must have been hypermiling because he was only doing 55-60 MPH in an area with a speed limit of 70 MPH. 1 Ted Swing reacted to this
corncobs Report post Posted April 16, 2014 I drove to airport this evening and saw 8 Fusion along a maybe 10 mile stretch in rush hour traffic going west and for me the coolest thing to see was 4 of them with the Hybrid badge on the front door. acdii Report post Posted April 16, 2014 I am seeing a lot more Fusion Hybrids now.
hybridbear Report post Posted April 17, 2014 We're starting to see more hybrids/Energis too. We probably see 1-2 FFHs/FFEs per week. And probably 15-20 gas Fusions a week.
B25Nut Report post Posted June 3, 2014 Last evening on my drive from work to the grocery market, which is less than a mile away, I saw four Fusions. They were all white, so with mine added that's five white Fusions in a small town in less than two minutes. 1 hybridbear reacted to this
KLH Report post Posted June 3, 2014 In the Boston area, I'm seeing more FFHs than regular FFs. It's neat to see...
acdii Report post Posted June 3, 2014 I see at least 7-8 every day. Saw one of those ugly green ones too.
B25Nut Report post Posted June 5, 2014 I eat breakfast at the same restaurant four days a week. I try to park in front on the main street (to give the FFH more exposure) but had to park in the back parking lot today. When I left, I started walking toward a White Platinum FFH parked out front until I remembered "I didn't park there". It is was an exact twin of mine except for the license plate number (although both start with 6, and it is probably a 2014). It has all the same visible options as mine. I didn't have the nerve to go back in the restaurant and shout "Who has the Fusion Hybrid out front?". 4 gkinla, acdii, GrySql and 1 other reacted to this
acdii Report post Posted June 6, 2014 This made me laugh. I came out of the Sammich shop today and saw this. And yes my car DOES need a bath. 1 corncobs reacted to this
machoman1337 Report post Posted June 8, 2014 (edited) I saw plenty of regular and hybrid last-gen and current-gen Fusions in Toronto. Some public company in TO also uses them as fleet vehicles - I saw a few white hybrids (base S model) with the Ontario logo painted on the doors. Fusions are a bit of a rare sight in Vancouver - German luxury cars are much more common! I guess the demographics are different here. When my car actually arrives (currently being shipped from Toronto), I'll be the first person in my neighbourhood to own an American car. Seriously. Come to think of it, American brands in general aren't as common in Vancouver as they are in Toronto. I do see them every day, just that they make up a considerably smaller share of the total cars on the road than they do in Toronto. DeeCee Report post Posted June 9, 2014 The last time I visited Vancouver the streets were full of Prius Hybrid taxis. Must have been hundreds of them, it seems.
hybridbear Report post Posted June 9, 2014 I saw two FFHs yesterday, a black one & a sterling gray one. I still think that sterling gray is one of the best colors for the FFH.
corncobs Report post Posted June 11, 2014 I just came home from a customer visit and saw 7 or 8 Fusion's at least 3 of them hybrids. One might have been acdii's HyTi following me. 1 machoman1337 reacted to this
acdii Report post Posted June 11, 2014 I was going the other way and saw 7 myself, including a Ruby Red hybrid going the other way. Must have passed each other. 1 machoman1337 reacted to this
corncobs Report post Posted June 11, 2014 Too funny! Btw that S-curve is pretty cool I had a passenger so I stay civil otherwise I'm guessing 65 MPH is no problem in a Fusion.
