dlramon Report post Posted April 11, 2013 You must have missed my posts then:http://fordfusionhybridforum.com/topic/6377-neods-hybrid-titanium/Nice photos neods, I'm jealous. My car began its transit late in the day last Friday but has been stuck in Kansas City for the last 48 hours because of a conveyance mechanical failure. There was supposed to be a transfer from the UP line to the NS line in Kansas City, so I'm not certain who's mechanical failure this is - nor am I really sure what a conveyance mechanical failure means. Since we have the same rail route (Mexico to Wayne, MI) and noting that you received your car within 2 weeks after it was built, I should see my car sometime around 4/19/13 + KC delay. I will also post pictures once it arrives. 1 neod192 reacted to this

dlramon Report post Posted April 11, 2013 (edited) "conveyance mechanical failure" means something on the railcar broke. ;)I'm afraid its related to the rail car holding my car. There was a prior conveyance mechanical failure reported by Union Pacific (UP) in Nogales, AZ on 4/6/13 at 1:18PM; apparently this was fixed at that point because the next reported event (also Nogales, AZ) on same day at 4:52PM lists the rail car as received and eventually passing Nogales, AZ at 5:36PM. On the brighter side, we are pounding the rails once again! Norfolk Southern (NS) train with my rail car is due into Decator, IL on the 13th where it changes locomotives, goes on into Chicago with an ETA on the 14th, where it changes locomotives once again before finishing the trip in Wayne, MI with an ETA of 4/15/13. All of this assumes, of course, that we don't get broken again. Edited April 11, 2013 by dlramon

All cars seem to have the failure message in Nogales, AZ, so I don't think it's an actual failure. That's where CSX picks it up.
acdii Report post Posted April 12, 2013 Well then I fail to see what the failure was all about. Failboat has arrived?

neod192 Report post Posted April 12, 2013 It spent a little bit of time in Kansas City; that's where CSX dropped it off and Norfolk Southern picked it up, but I don't think it was more than 48 hours. I was only able to track it through CSX and it didn't have the conveyance mechanical failure status; it just said "delivered at interchange", then arrived and departed - all in Kansas City. milleron Report post Posted April 13, 2013 Regarding rail transit, CSX didn't pick up my car in Nogales, AZ. It left there on Union Pacific. So how can one track a specific car (railroad or automobile type) on CSX or other railroads? I checked the Union Pacific Web site and it seems to be for employees only.
