Neod's Hybrid Titanium

Well, the day finally arrived :happy feet: ! I ordered my Hybrid Titanium on November 19th and picked it up yesterday, April 5th :yahoo: . my sales person called me first thing in the morning to let me know the car was here! Stopped by on the way to work and took some pics, picked it up later that afternoon.

So far I am in love with this car. I got a good one - getting great mileage :shift: right off the bar too! I love all the tech in this car adaptive cruise control and lane assist and BLIS are awesome - don't regret spending the extra $ for them :) I used park assist and it works well - I don't know how often I'll use it, but it sure if fun to watch! Oh yeah, Deep Impact Blue was definitely the right choice for me.

Dude, Very happy for you. Glad you like the color, its just Awesome. One of the best blues out there. Congrats a thousand times over! Get some Zaino AIO on it, and you will see that color POP! Before I traded mine I gave it some Z5, just because I was bored, and not only did it look slick, it WAS!

I think I'm the first one on this forum. I'm still uploading pics and they're of the ambient lighting at night :) It looks really good - just wished the cup holders were also lit up.

 

Yes, I cranked it up! I'm learning how to use Sirius and the stations I like (Dance/Electronic/Top Hits) sound really good. HD radio also sound good and I can definitely tell the difference between HD and non-HD radio. I tried Pandora over bluetooth, but the quality wasn't all that great. iHeartRadio sounded good too :)

 

I wish we had AppLink on MFT, that would make it sooo much better :)

Regarding the cup holder lighting; I have some ideas how to add that feature to my SE and I'm waiting for parts. If it works out as planned I will share some pics.

I'll have to see if my Nexus 4 can play Pandora over USB. When I plug it in to the USB port it indexes it and starts playing audio recording I have on the phone (don't have any actual music).

If it works like the iphone, when you fire up pandora it will start to play it over USB. It should work the same way it does over USB. If you had music on the phone, and switched to bluetooth, then the music would start to play.

The Doors light up??? Wow thats different. Do they only come on with the lights now? The Flex is that way too, the 10 FFH though they are on all the time.

Neod - congrats on the car - have a gas Titanium about a week now - just an unbelievable car - love the adaptive cruise and lane keeper.

 

Corncobs - appreciate you blazing that road to add the lights to the cupholders - just doesn't seem like it should be too hard, but the Fusion belongs to the partner and he says no to me taking it apart. If it were truly mine - I would have tried taking the console apart day 1. Too bad Ford pulled that from original production.

 

acdii - I need to order some new Zaino - I used it on 2 trucks 10 to 12 years ago. The second one after it was a couple of years old just became my truck and I quit babying it - the new had worn off and I haven't used Zaino, wax or anything on it since - paint still beads some water and looks good after it is washed. It has always been kept in the garage - but it is honestly 8 years without anything else. The new Fusion definitely deserves Zaino.

Your HyTi looks fantastic! It really makes me glad I stuck with my Deep Impact Blue decision. please keep the reports coming on the driving experience. We can all live vicariously through you for a while longer.

On my 10, the ambient lighting is always on as long as the ignition is on. On the Flex they only come on when the headlights are on, just wondering if its the same in the new Fusion.

Gotcha. It looks like they're on all the time, not dependent on the headlights. They come on when I open the door, before I even turn on the "ignition".

Aww bugger, thats too bad. It's hard to get the true effect of the Sony system then. Get a nice USB flash drive and load it up, then go sit and listen for a while. Also make sure you set the speed compensation up to max to get the full impact. A lot of people who say the Sony isnt that good most likely failed to do this and they dont get the full BASS effects.

When the music is up and the Nav starts talking, it lowers the music volume, but the Nav voice still isn't loud enough. I went through the settings and only saw volume settings for other things.

I connected my wife's iPhone 5 (VZW) through USB and see what you're talking about. the iPhone will play music through USB instead of BT. Another interesting thing is that when my phone is connected over BT and playing Pandora, SYNC won't show the artist name and song title. When the iPhone 5 is connected (either BT or USB) it does. What's up with that ???

it sounds like it's related to the AVRCP version on the phone. Mine has version 1.0 and 1.3 is needed to transfer metadata. Through a few Google searches I see people saying the iPhone 4 does this over BT as well, so you might just have to upgrade the software on yours?
