I'm less than impressed with the steering wheel in my new HyTi. It is leather wrapped and all, but feels too thin in my hands (and my hands are not too big..).. There small areas on each side that are thicker which is where I guess most people hold the wheel as they drive. I would swear that the steering wheel on the car I took out for a test drive before I bought mine had a better steering wheel (more substance to it). Here's a pic. IS this what the HyTi should have installed?

EV+ mode not recognizing my house or work
wacevedo replied to lmp180psu's topic in General Discussion
About 5 days after I took delivery of my car, it learned my Home. A week later I performed a lifetime reset and it no longer remembered my address. I then proceeded to save both my home and work address as favorites and within two days it learned both. -
Thank you. Looks very nice. I think I will order these too for my HyTi. Is grey the only color? Is black an option?

I took delivery of my new HyTi on yesterday!!! It's sharp!!! Thanks to all of you who who constantly provide good insight on all things Fusion and always have nothing but the best wishes for those who receive their cars, regardless of how long you actually wait to get yours. The learning curve just started for me. I mentioned the crackling noise to the dealership GM and he had no knowledge of this; so if mine starts showing the same problem I'll come back for the latest info from this forum. I'll post some pics soon.

Extended Warranty
wacevedo replied to HybridFFH502A's topic in Owner's Manuals, Warranties and User Guides
I think this is true. My dealer wanted to sell me the 7/75K ESP w/ $100 deductible for $2.5K. Price @ floodfordesp.com is like $1K. Ridiculous. I told the finance manager why his price why so high. His only answer was that the dealer I was getting the lower price from was most likely getting a kickback from ford to sell these. As if they were not! From that moment he didn't offer me anything else, which was fine by me because I only spend like 10 minutes with him. He did get me 1.29% for my financing, after I told him I had 1.7% secured with Penfed. Not sure if I made the right decision by taking the 1.29% since the impact to my monthly payment is neglectable, and I know they just basically sold the loan to some credit union I don't know about. But I'm happy with my new HyTi. :happy feet: -

Extended Warranty
wacevedo replied to HybridFFH502A's topic in Owner's Manuals, Warranties and User Guides
My experience is that by the 6-7 yr mark something major needs come up and that alone is work ~ 1.5K. I normally put ~ 15K/yr, so 7/100k seems reasonable for me. -

Can anybody clarify whether or not the Premium Maintenance Plan is part of Ford's ESP plans or something else that Ford sells for regular maintenance not covered by std or extended warranty, like oil change, etc... If the latter, is that worth buying?

Through these great forum threads I learned that some dealers are passing the increased price of Fusion Hybrids to buyers at the time of pick up. I contacted my dealership to ensure they will not do this. My sales person assured me this won't happen and once more committed to the price we negotiated at the time of order. And he documented that commitment on email. Having said that he also mentioned that "You will have some optional Items presented to you, and if you are interested, you can take advantage of those". He has been very honest so far, but didn't volunteer any details on what those options items are. ESP is an obvious one. Wondering if those of you who already have picked up your cars at the dealer could throw some light into what additional items the dealers will try to sell you. Also, Is roadside assistance included in the std warranty offered by Ford, or would that be one of those extra things they will try to sell? Thanks!
