  1. Trick question! Financial was not on the table for the purchase of this vehicle. This is a very flexible vehicle which fits my situation very well. 'nuff said.
  2. There might be a dead ant in the sensor. Give it a spritz with the hose.
  3. A little 4.5 mile drive for me. To: temp 63, mpg 41 Fro: temp 85, mpg 48 (fro is down the little incline) Nice to have good mileage Spring Forth :hysterical: (windows open, climate control off)
  4. The OEM blade chattered from day one. I have gotten so sick of this passenger blade that I installed a Bosch ($21) this morning. I did not get a chance to fully exercise the wipers, but it was finally quiet when I did a squirt. So an OEM Ford on driver's side and Bosch on passenger's; at least both are black in color.
  5. In and out the door in 45 minutes. Switched dashboard back to Engage, regen symbol working again. No difference to feel of brakes.
  6. The driving is all surface street traffic, 10 miles round trip. I rarely get above 30 mph, which is fine by me given all the nut jobs roaming around with shopping carts collecting recycling.
  7. Yes, it is. My use of the vehicle is very predictable.
  8. I believe I am going to reach 200 hrs of operation before 5000 miles. Is there a way to call up the accumulated operation time on the dashboard? TIA
  9. This is how they are built. Some Ford trucks are similar. Take a walk around a mall parking lot; a certain number of cars will be constructed this way.
  10. Some observations now that the cold is here <10F I can let the ICE warm up. It modulates in idle sound, charging goes on and off, then a switch. I set cabin temp to 60F. This appears to turn the heat off, ICE comes to temperature rapidly. External temperature reading is updated continuously. Seems different than in the Summer. So, I wear a parka, gloves, hat when I get in in the morning. The commute is only 5 miles. 60F appears to turn the heat off and the ICE warms up about 1/4 into the trip. Once the temp. gauge hits mid-point I can turn up to 65 and there is lots of hot air, and it doesn't seem to affect engine temp or EV mode. This morning it was about 12F when I pulled into work parking lot. Parking in the sun with the sunroof shade open. External temp reading was 12F. After work, in the dark, I fire her up and external temp reads 26F; I don't think anyone took her out for a joy ride. 26F never budged. The outside temp was 26F.
  11. Passenger side bounces on the return stroke. These are the factory blades. This is very annoying. If I do a very careful cleaning of the windshield with Windex the bounce will go away for about 1 week.
  12. In case you wanted to know, sunspots are monitored here: http://sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov/ The nit I have to pick with cold weather and the Fusion is cabin air recirculate on the climate control will turn itself off after a certain interval. When it is on, the cabin warms up pretty quick. It also has to be manually turned on each time I start the car. I guess they want me to have fresh air but really, the car computer knows how many people are sitting in the seats and I think that recirculate is cycling based on four people in the cabin. Just 2 cents worth...
  13. On page 249 of owner's manual, special fuel funnel, stored with spare tire, used in emergency to add fuel from portable fuel container. Say ahhh....
  14. I worry about this too. If you look around in a large parking lot there are a wide variety of vehicles, including some Ford trucks, with windows such as this, so nothing is missing.
