    Phone

Sleddog and Steve B, Sleddog and Steve B, Disconnected the neg. cable for a few minutes and now have access to phone menu. I had read on this forum and other places that pulling the #13 fuse is like an on off switch on a PC and rebooting it. Figured neg. terminal is the same thing. All I lost was the mpg readout which is no big deal. I'll get it back. All radio presets and installed music from CD's remained. Why Ford can not make these little hiccups easier to correct (like fuse placement) is beyond me. Just in case I'll keep my Fri am appt. with Ford and see if the Hybrid guy can give me any info about this. Thanks again. Sreve

Well, that's a problem because when I push the phone button the phone menu does not show up on the screen so can not do anything. I tried to Reset the system from the menu button but nothing resets. Also tried to access the #13 fuse (Sync) to reboot Sync but that is difficult for me to do. Tomorrow (too frustrated now to deal with it) I'll pull off the neg. battery cable for a few minutes. That will reset everything but maybe it will be the same as pulling the above fuse. I'll let everyone know what happens. Thanks for the replies. Icey AKA Steve
  3. I have a 2010 Fusion Hybrid. A few days ago I had to jump start the veh. Annway, all is fine now EXCEPT the phone/bluetooth does not work. The phone button does not not bring up the phone menus. Tried a system reset and it did not reset anything. My vehicle has SYNC but not the "My Ford Touch" which came out in 2011. Searched this forum and could not find anything related to this topic. Steve
  4. You probably found one by now but I got mine from Dash Design in Arizona (online). Order with sensor cut out. Mat fits like a glove. Can not find my receipt or would give you more info. Cost was about 40 bucks. Thay did not make on for the rear deck. Steve
  5. Mine has done it a few times. Always resets to the default display. And yes mpg readouts average and long term always go way down. I'll check in to the TSB number.
  6. For the size of the car I feel mileage is great even with the minor descrepencies. What is this manual seat recline recall? Did I miss a post. Certainly I have received no letter from Ford.
  7. It goes on as soon as I go into reverse. No set pattern when it will do this. Has not done it for last couple days. Lke folks said maybe it is a bad sensor.
  8. Anybody have a problem with the backup warning buzzer staying on and not just beeping when you get closer to an object? This happens intermittently but usually 2-3 times a week. Steve
  9. I checked out your info on the Ford technology. That was interesting reading those articles and cleared up a misperception on my part. Thanks Steve
  10. Not to add anymore confusuion than already is there but my wife read/heard sometime back that Toyota licensed a lot of its hybrid technology to Ford. Myth??? Don not know. But is is interesting. Steve
  11. Right. Thanks. I just saw the Consumer Reports article about this upgrade. Haven't received a letter yet but will check with Ford dealer. Steve
  12. First of all did not know there was a brake upgrade. My FFH has 7500 mi. and was made pre Nov '09. My brake regen icon (little circle of arrows around battery) starts after about a mile. I think it always has and I just figured that was normal. This is from a cold start. Once warm the circle of arrows is always there when braking. Never noticed a change in pedal response. Steve
  13. I have started reseting my instant mpg just about every trip. Have not noticed any flicker but then again I am not glued to the readout. Have not tried reseting the overall mpg wich at this time is 40.4 Would think Ford could put in an upgrade or reboot the computer?
  14. Heck, I just used the advise of a detailer and used body clay with a lot of soapy water. Rain-x gone and a bright new non- streak windshield. Steve
  15. Sure, the light sensor is that little black knob center dashboard. Cover it up and you'll see how it works.
