  1. Once again, I need the forum's help. Is there a way to print a private message? I've searched, but can't find anything. Thanks.
  2. Pretty simple. Thanks for your help.
  3. I don't think I'm totally ignorant technologically speaking, but I can't find anywhere the instructions for sending a private message. Can anyone help? Thanks.
  4. We used to raise AKC black Schnauzers. We named one of our bitches Ceilidh, the Gaelic word for party. I called her Ceilidhdog, and that became my user name on a number of Web sites.
  5. I have Sync with My Ford Touch in my 2013 FFH SE. The Sync page says I have version 3.6.2, installed in March 2014, and it says my Sync is up to date. Anybody have any ideas?
  6. I saw that. I'm trying to figure out exactly where the thing should be installed. Thanks.
  7. My Ford dealer has a special on Safe Stop Brake Light Technology for the third brake light. I bought it, but it comes with no instructions. I guess they assume I know where it goes and how to wire it. But I don't. The thing is about the size of a matchbox, with three wires -- red, yellow, and black. When it comes to things electrical, I'm pretty much ignorant. Can anybody explain how to install this thing in my 2013 FFH SE? Thanks.
  8. Rock Auto is hard to beat. I ordered an OEM Motorcraft FP-71 cabin air filter for my 2013 FFH SE It cost $15 and change, including shipping. It arrived in the mail in three days. I replaced the old filter yesterday, after twice watching the video mentioned above. Piece of cake. Took about 20 minutes.
  9. I can see that. But I'm 5'8" with a 29" inseam. My feet don't go off the mat, so I'm not too concerned.
  10. Do you mean the shelf in front of the rear window? BTW, I see you've got Ice Storm, too. We love it.
  11. In preparing for a road trip in our 2013 FFH SE, I stacked a lot of stuff on the shelf that covers the HVB. My wife took a look, and said, "Won't that interfere with the batteries' ventilation?" I replied, "The batteries don't need ventilation." My (stupid or not) question: do they?
  12. I researched various floor mats for my 2013 FFH SE for several weeks. Serendipitously, I was about to order a set of Weather Techs yesterday when I got an email from the dealership where I bought my car. It offered a set of OEM all-weather floor mats for the Fusion for $95. I drove to the dealer and asked to see a set, but, of course, they had none in stock. I told the tech I didn't want to order them without seeing a set, and he said he'd order them and could send them back if I didn't like them. I picked them up this morning and installed them in the car. Because I bought the car at the dealership, they knocked off 10% and the total with tax was pennies under $90. My two cents: I think the mats are great. They're heavy rubber, fit like a glove, and look very nice. They have deep groves to hold liquids, and the Fusion logo is molded into both front mats. They cover exactly what the original mats covered, so they don't go as far up under the pedal as the Weather Techs and some other brands do. But, I figure if I spill something, it's going to go in my lap, not under my feet. I think they'll be fine for wet feet from melting snow, etc.
  13. I picked up my 2013 FFH SE from the dealer's service department yesterday. They took care of Recalls 15E03, 14S21, and 15R01. The 15E03 erased the lifetime Regen Miles counter, but left the lifetime brake score intact.
  14. That's what I thought, too. But both fobs were hanging on the hook in the kitchen, and the wife was watching TV in the living room. Gremlins.
  15. Had a strange occurrence yesterday afternoon. My 2013 FFH SE was parked in the garage, and all of a sudden the horn began to honk and the lights started flashing. It stopped immediately when I pushed the button on the key fob. There were no animals or people in the garage, nothing was touching the car on any side, and the garage door was closed. It was weird. Anybody else have this happen?
  16. Me, too! The old photo looked like my 2013 FFH.
  17. Welcome to the forum! Beautiful car. You're gonna love it!
  18. Am having my windshield replaced tomorrow at the dealership where I bought the car. Their price for an OEM windshield, installed, was only $20 more than Safelite. I figured I'd stick with the dealership because I have a good relationship with them and want to keep it going. Last summer, the windshield was hit by a rock that caused a starburst crack on the driver's side. I had that repaired, but in a few months it cracked further. I had that one repaired, as well, but one recent morning when I turned on the defroster the crack took off sideways across to the passenger side. Even though it doesn't interfere with the driver's or passenger's sight line, my wife says the crack detracts from the "look" of the car... hence the replacement.
  19. An update: the more I thought about it, the more upset I got. So I emailed Mike Naughton Ford's service department last Wednesday. I told them most dealers turn on the DRLs free of charge because it's a safety factor and it's good customer service. Someone replied that the equipment involved is expensive, and that the service tech has the equivalent of a master's degree in order to work on my car. But, having said that, they noted that I bought the car from them, and that I've been a loyal customer. So, they're refunding the $70.80 I paid to have the DRLs activated. The bottom line: even if it took a little effort, I think Mike Naughton Ford can be returned to the "good guy" list.
  20. I took the FFH in for its 15,000-mile checkup and an oil change. When I asked them to turn on the DRLs, the service tech told me they'd have to go into the computer to do it. I told him some dealerships turn them on for no charge as a customer service and because it's a safety factor. He told me anytime they have to go into the computer they have to charge for it. I didn't argue, but I let him know I wasn't particularly happy. Anyhow, they're on, and that's what I wanted.
  21. I had my DRLs turned on yesterday at Mike Naughton Ford in Denver. They charged $70.80.
  22. Welcome from a fellow Coloradan. You're going to love your FFH.
