    Hey all

Yep. Take some time to sit in the car and go through the owner's manual page by page. Familiarize yourself with all the toys in your car. And, if you get stuck on something, there are hundreds of helpful folks here who have loads of knowledge and are willing to share.

    Hey all

My 2013 FFH SE consistently gets in the mid-40s. The last tankful, I got into the 600-mile club, averaging 55 mpg. You're going to love your car!
  3. I've had Sirius XM for years, and occasional dropouts are common. I think it can be caused bynearby high-voltage power lines, weather, sunspots, etc.
  4. I have a 2013 FFH SE with just under 32,000 miles on it. At the 25,000-mile oil change, the dealer told me the transmission was losing a little fluid. They dropped the tranny and found a leak in the damper housing. They resealed it and I've had no problems since. They gave me a loaner non-hybrid Fusion for the five days they had the car. All this was done under warranty, with no argument from the dealer. I love Mike Naughton Ford in Denver.
  5. You've come to the right place to ask questions of friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful folks. And maybe to help us with some of your own experiences. Welcome aboard!
  6. It's pretty simple. I used three pieces of painter's tape, about six inches long, and a screwdriver: 1. Unscrew the original antenna. 2. Attach the wire from the shark fin to the antenna base. 3. Put the shark fin over the antenna base and eyeball it to make sure it's centered along the centerline of the car. 4. When the shark fin is centered, carefully place a piece of painter's tape along each side as close to the antenna as you can, taking care not to move it. 5. Determine where you want the shark fin, front to back, and place the third piece of tape across the other two pieces, as close to the front of the shark fin as you can. 6. Remove the double-sided tape from the bottom of the shark fin and carefully position the antenna inside the three pieces of painter's tape. 7. Press down hard on the shark fin, and that's it. 8. Follow the instructions about washing your car.
  7. I alternate between FM and Sirius, and haven't noticed a quality decline in either one. Listening to Denver Broncos football this Sunday while driving through Nebraska enroute to Iowa will give me a chance to evaluate AM.
  8. I'm obviously dense. Please explain why the fob is deactivated. Thanks in advance.
  9. I have the CD3 shark fin antenna. You don't replace the antenna base. A wire in the shark fin simply screws into the base. I haven't noticed any decline in radio reception, although I never listen to AM.
  10. Does Ford make such a battery? I don't find anything by searching. Thanks.
  11. Welcome to the forum. You'll find lots of helpful advice here, from folks who know their hybrids much better than I do my 2013 FFH SE. The best advice I can give you is to take your owner's manual, sit in the driver's seat, and go page by page through the manual, pushing all the buttons, twisting all the knobs, etc. It'll take a couple of hours, but you'll learn more about the car and its capabilities than you ever hoped to in a short time. You're going to love your FFH!
  12. Yep. I had a clear bra installed on my 2013 FFH and it works great.
  13. I have been telling myself how lucky I am that this hasn't happened to our 2013 FFH SE. That was until this morning, when I took it to my dealer for an oil change, tire rotation, and any maintenance needed at 25,000 miles. The technician told me there's a transmission leak, and they had to add 1.5 quarts of transmission fluid. They can't get the car in for repair until Monday, and the work will take "at least two days." So a road trip to Iowa that we had planned for Tuesday is indefinitely postponed. Coincidentally, I had run a Vehicle Health Report on Sept. 19. Everything, including the Engine, Transmission & Emissions, was fine. Why wouldn't a transmission leak, and the accompanying low fluid level, have shown up in the VHR? Does the VHR really tell us anything?
  14. Sounds like a good idea to me. I'm for it.
  15. Jiffy Lube changed the oil on my son's Honda Accord and overfilled it. Fortunately, he discovered the mistake before it caused any damage. He took it back and they told him it couldn't have been their mistake. Needless to say, he's not going back to Jiffy Lube.
  16. My 2013 FFH SE with 22,000 miles is as tight and quiet as the day I drove it out of the dealer's lot 30 months ago.
  17. Congratulations on your Fusion! You're going to love it, especially when compared to the two Toyota "appliances" you had before (a bit of Fusion bias here). The best thing I can suggest is to take your owner's manual, go sit in your Fusion and go through the manual page by page, pushing every button and turning every knob until you completely understand the technology and all the workings of the vehicle. It may take a couple of times, but you'll thank yourself in the long run. Welcome to the forum. If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask them here. There's a wealth of good information and advice available from members, who are more than willing to help.
  18. Couldn't agree more. But I notice it's not available in later years. Too bad they got rid of it.
  19. Welcome aboard! I have a 2013 FFH SE, as well. It's a joy to drive, and it's almost a game to try various things to improve your MPG. You'll find lots of helpful information on the forum. You're going to LOVE your car!
  20. I guess I have to knock wood, but my 2013 FFH SE is as tight and rattle-free as the day it left the showroom 27 months and 20,000 miles ago. I love this car!
  21. Thanks. The right-click>print didn't work, but I was able to copy it into Word and print it there. It was a pain in the ass, because all the stuff on the left side of the page came up, as well. But at least it worked. There ought to be an easier way.
