I did this today when I got home. Drove like a madman to get the coolant temp up, when I got home pulled out the flashlight and spied around everywhere I could looking for anything wet. Found nothing. No smell at all either, the entire time and it was 18F this AM. I did pull up the floor mats and felt around, looked under the dash as much as I could looking for any moister, felt nothing and saw nothing either. Guess it's been 4 weeks since I last topped off the coolant reservoir for the radiator and level still halfway between Max and Min. This weekend I will drive with the underpan off to see if anything drips on the garage floor.

Just over 74K. Just hate to bring it to Ford with it being a hybrid. Afraid the yocals around here will just break something on it. I’m gonna dig around more this weekend just to double check.

My 13 is having the same issue. I'm constantly replacing about 100-150ml every month to 6 weeks. Now that it's colder, I have the car warming up in the morning and I smell coolant, I smell coolant while the heat is on, however only trace of coolant I can find anywhere is around the cap on the inverted side. The radiator cap is on nice and tight on the coolant bottle, can not find wetness at all under the car, in the bottom tray, wet spots around hoses or anything. I'm truly stumped as well. I will say that the coolant smell with the heat on is sporadic. If it appears, it's on from the moment I start the car till I turn it off. Sometime it's there, sometimes it isn't. Like I said, only place I see any form of spillage or seepage is around cap on the inverted side. It's "crusty" appearing where it looks like fluid is leaking out some. After a drive you can also wipe up a few drops (I'm talking minor drops here) of coolant around the bottle itself. I looked on parts.ford.com to see if there is a replaceable cap for the inverted bottle, however it appears you have the purchase the entire tank. I did find a salvaged bottle on eBay with the hoses attached for $15 so I bought that to see if swapping out the cap helps or not. If that doesn't fix it, I'll drain the inverter bottle and replace with the salvaged one to see how that does. Still doesn't explain my loss of coolant from the main radiator bottle however.

I have a 13 with over 72K. Tires replaced twice (Memphis potholes), both rear shocks (done by me, leaking), Right sided media control switch on steering wheel (super easy), new 12V battery, and the fan assembly that cools the battery pack (under warranty by Ford). All this and 400 or so recalls for 2013 Fusions, this car has been a rockstar. Now if only the transmission lasts forever....

Did you try contacting tire manufacturer? Also, you might still have a warranty from Sears. There is a 800 number you can call for tools, they ask questions, and send new ones out. Google around and see if you can find something for tires as well, esp if you purchased road hazard warranty.

I have a 13 FFH and I feel the same way..I'm going to miss it if it dies or gets destroyed. Debating pulling the trigger on a 19 or 20 hybrid vs 2019 Fusion Sport.

Mine is currently 7 years old..so looking forward to fixing something else. Just replaced the cruise control and audio module on both sides of the steering wheel since the LED's went out. Very easy fix...thank GOD someone on YT had the videos.

I get my best MPG Spring and Fall. Winter I hold out as long as possible before turning on heat and Summer, with 90 degrees plus and 900% humidity have to have the AC running.

This just happened to mine. Yesterday I saw some fluid but we have had some much rain lately figured I hit a puddle. Today another puddle was there, looked under the car, it’s coming from the RR shock. Going to edit here, shock change was stupid simple. Followed this video and changed both out in under 40 min. Did the RR first, think the LR was under 5 min total.

Besides the 10000 recalls, my only issue was one of the battery cooling fans went out which was replaced under warranty. Other then that rock solid little car.

On my Fusion, replaced stock around 28K because I was tired of replacing tires due to nails etc so I wanted a warranty. Purchased Continental Purecontact with Ecoplus, rotate every 5K and check tire pressure with every fill up (34psi) and will need to replace in the next 5-7000....therefore they lasted 32-37k miles Need to try higher PSI I guess. Memphis has hot summers so maybe that’s it? I have it aligned yearly...unsure why else poor wear could be the culprit. Will say after buying these tires never did get another flat.

How much motor oil does your ICE burn?
klatoo replied to lkatze2's topic in Maintenance & Do It Yourself
I run blackstone on all my oil changes...my only issue is a higher fuel percentage in the sample itself. Never had to add oil. Change my oil every 5K miles now -
Need a bit of help Anyone have the illustrations on how to remove the center console? Apparently my wife spilled half of Starbucks on the shifter and now it gets "sticky" in the morning thanks to cooler weather. I was able to remove some of the side panels and clean next to the shifter, but there is still syrupy gunk in there that's affecting it. Also, the lights on my entire R side of the steering wheel are dark. All that lights up now is the mute, sync voice button, and the answer call button. I'm hoping it's just a wire that has become dislodged but if anyone can lend assistance there I would appreciate it as well.

Damn if that doesn't hurt like a SOB as well.

Newb-'15 - What noises/sensations are normal?
klatoo replied to Smurphy118's topic in 2013-2016 Fusion Hybrid
The A/C system make a different noise than one is accustomed to as well. You are in Jersey so I image you dont run it as much as I do here in Tennessee but it makes a higher pitch noise (okay, not engine related, but noise none the less). Had no idea about reverse...cool tidbit of info there.
