  1. You've probably googled it and found this: https://repairpal.com/obd-ii-code-u0100-lost-communication-with-ecm-pcm-a How old is your 12v battery? From the link above, one of the items is: Check the battery Before proceeding, a technician will make sure the battery is fully charged. The PCM needs a proper power supply to function. Charge or replace the battery as needed.
  2. I searched around and saw that the complaints regarding Siri and v4.6 are from 3 years ago. @Cobra348, your car is quite new. Are you sure it's running Sync v4.6? @fusionlegend69, which model year is your car?
  3. I'm sure they'll post a fix/upgrade soon. Probably testing it right now
  4. Get a few opinions for sure. You'll probably hear different things so be prepared for that.
  5. Pics posted in the cabin filter thread (trying not to go off topic):
  6. Cabin filter changed at 50k miles. Pics to motivate you all to change the filter:
  7. +1 on the cabin filter. I changed mine at 50k miles and it was pretty dirty. After changing it, the AC seems to cool really fast. I'll post pics soon
  8. Great news! Glad it worked out for you. My general mantra is that if something doesn't seem right, call around.
  9. America's Tire always suggests replacing in pairs so that they don't wear unevenly (even with regular tire rotations). I googled it and found: https://www.michelinman.com/mixingTires.html
  10. You only replaced one tire? They are supposed to be replaced in pairs. Out of curiosity, how many miles do you have on your stock tires?
  11. The last time I had the car serviced, I noticed that the service price went up too. This was pre-COVID. I don't even get the tires rotated because I do that every 5k miles at Discount Tire. Discussions about the correct oil can be never-ending. Fully synthetic is supposed to protect the engine better but if you change the oil at frequent intervals, regular oil is also fine. I have the same thinking as you do, if it's once every 10k miles (which is once a year for me), I have no problem spending a bit extra for the blend or fully synthetic oil. However, I'm too cheap to pay for the cabin filter changed for $50 (or whatever it is they charge :))
  12. I've been a fan of Discount Tire since 2006 or so. Hands-down the best for tires. They match Costco's prices too.
  13. IMO, if there are other dealers close by, try them first. I would be hesitant to go back to a dealer who's unwilling to work on it for whatever reason. You could also try calling Ford directly and see if they can help.
  14. I understand. I'm generally very careful about stuff so that I don't break anything. I would have hesitated to fold them as well. My wife uses the foldable mirrors all the time because we have a tandem garage that's only 1 vehicle wide. She's worried about scraping the mirror so she folds it in before parking either of our vehicles.
  15. No trick. Your photo shows that they are foldable too. Push the outermost part of the housing towards the door Before: After:
  16. Looks like it was maintained really well. Enjoy
  17. I agree with everyone else. Really bad design. I can't believe you have to remove parts of the dashboard to replace a cabin filter. Most cars I've seen, you drop the glove compartment and you can change it. This is ridiculous.
  18. I was curious too. Googled both of them and got: https://themustangsource.com/forums/f637/power-door-trim-switch-inhibit-437886/ https://owner.ford.com/support/how-tos/vehicle-features/windshield-and-wipers/windshield-wiper-courtesy-wipe.html#
  19. My 2014's battery is 6 years old. I wonder if I should replace it early without being stranded somewhere. Any brand recommendations?
  20. We use the parking brake on our vehicles every time we switch off the ignition. No issues on the e-brake or any conventional parking brakes.
  21. Same here. 49k miles and no issues yet. 1 oil change per year and 1 set of new tires, that's it.
  22. I was curious so I went down and checked it out. The rear dome light on a 2014 FFH has a button. The light automatically comes on (along with the front reading lights) when the doors are open.
  23. Thanks. I spray water on the wheels, underbody from the back and the grille area so I take it for a spin when I finish drying the car. It gets the water out of everything exterior.
