  1. Based on the A/C power draw curve below, posted by larryh in this post, and on my own prevalent use of A/C in very hot temps, the biggest hits to the MPG numbers seem to be for short trips while using the A/C, especially when there are long gaps in between where the car heats back up again. Whereas, if the trips are longer, such as in a 30-minute commute, then the use of the A/C doesn't seem to impact the MPGs nearly as much as some people have experienced, presumably when their trips were short ones. Also, based on my experiences in high heat conditions, and others' postings in this forum on the extreme cold conditions, it seems the sweet spot for the optimum MPGs in the FFHs is in the 60° - 85° temperature range.
  2. All versions of the Energi do come with leather. That is the main reason why I personally feel I cannot get an FFE, since I am anti-leather. One other small difference with the Energi is that the donut spare tire from the gas Fusion is said to not fit on all of the wheel hubs on the FFE. I believe that post is probably in the Tires and Wheels section of this forum.
  3. For me, it is all about the MPGs now............. Edit: This is not really completely true, seeing as how I have the 5-spoke wheels with the 18" LS2s, and forever, 18" tires I will have on my FFH.
  4. Or a rental pickup or truck, for the rare occasion I need to haul something large or dirty.
  5. I'm wondering why you didn't remove the "Fusion" symbol too, and then people just might think it is a Ford Aston Martin. j/k :skateboard:
  6. The 2013 and 2014 gas Fusion S came with 16-inch steel wheels with wheel covers, and the 2015 gas Fusion S comes with 16-inch "Alloy" wheels.
  7. I had the same sort of issue happen to me this morning. I was backing into a parking spot, so I looked at the MFT screen to view the camera to make sure I didn't bump into the wall behind me, and the MFT screen was completely blank/black. So I shifted the car into Park and back to Reverse to see if that would fix the possible glitch, and then the "SYNC" logo popped up on the screen, shortly followed by the "Scheduled Maintenance in Progress" type of message with the progress bar. I have no idea what the maintenance entails, or what it might be connecting to, especially since I don't have a phone paired to SYNC on my FFH.
  8. I just managed to wrangle the 6 mo. for $25 plan via a 10-minute call to their cancellation line and by saying the magic words. And my trial plan doesn't even expire until tomorrow, so I won't have to go without my Sirius tunes at all. Of course, they signed me up for the auto-renew at the regular price after the 6 months special-priced subscription expires. But as others mentioned before, I have put a reminder on my calendar to remind me to call them again before the 6 months expires.
  9. Now I find out about this freebie tidbit, just hours after I paid for my very first paid subscription on my FFH. But I did wrangle the 6 mo. for $25 plan via a 10-minute call to their cancellation line and by saying the magic words. And my trial plan doesn't even expire until tomorrow, so I won't have to go without my Sirius tunes at all. :happy feet:
  10. Looking at this new 2015 order guide, Ford no longer offers the manual transmission option for any Fusion, so also no 1.6L EB engine option at all. And the other significant change is the gas Fusion S can now come in Deep Impact Blue.
  11. About the only reason I don't personally like to go below 1/2 tank is in case the bank network (ATMs) go down or if the gas supply quits flowing for any number of reasons, I can still get around for a bit, which will hopefully be long enough for any catastrophic issues like that to get resolved.
  12. I got the same "unable to gather information about your vehicle" message as jeff_h.
  13. Those wheels look exactly like the ones that come on the base model of the gas SE (17" Sparkle Silver-Painted Aluminum). Those are my 2nd favorite Fusion wheels, my favorite being the 18" SE Appearance wheels (18" 5-Spoke Premium Painted Aluminum).
  14. I have around 5800 miles on my FFH, and I usually fill up right about when I have 1/2 tank left. The lowest my tank has gone probably wasn't even down to 3/8 tank left. I also only fill up to the first click on the pump. I only recently came across the DTE screen, but the couple of times that I checked it recently, right after filling my tank, it showed right at 600 miles. So that seems like it has calculated accurately to me without ever running the DTE down to 0, and without ever filling it up to the brim.
  15. The OCD part of me agrees with you, but the "HYBRID" emblem does seem to be aligned to the crease right below it.
  16. I described a similar issue I had in this post, http://fordfusionhybridforum.com/topic/9069-ac-question/?do=findComment&comment=84866, where the A/C glitched on my HySE (edit: with MFT) and blew hot air on almost all A/C settings, except for on the "LO" setting. I also explained how I was able to remedy the glitch for my issue.
  17. The 2015 order guide still lists "Active Noise Cancellation" as a standard feature for the FFHs.
  18. ALL of the colors look very good on the FFHs.
  19. Trying the image method now, as described by GrySql:
  20. GrySql, are your smileys done as attachments? When I click on your smiley, it shows the GIF like it is an attachment. But when I click on mine, it takes me to the smiley website. Trying attachment method here:
  21. I found a free smiley site, and they had "Forum Code", that looked like this: {url=http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys.php]{img]http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-char030.gif[/img}[/url} But the original code snippet above had brackets instead of braces at every location where there is a brace above.
  22. I'm trying to figure out how GrySql does it, posting non-forum animated smileys. ;)
  23. I like to refer to the White Platinum FFHs as being the "cream"-colored ones. The difference between the two whites is very subtle. But when you get them side-by-side, it makes it much easier to see the beige-iness or cream-iness of the Platinum. On the FFH, I've grown to prefer the light colors: Oxford White, Platinum White, Ice Storm, and Ingot Silver, since the lighter colors show off the snarling grill much more than the darker colors do. The snarl I see sometimes on the FFH grill and headlights remind me of the cartoon cars' faces in the Disney movie, Cars, especially when that cartoon car is snarling. :)

    Disney Cars Snarl

    From the album: Fuze

Cartoon snarl reminiscent of the FFH snarl
  25. And now that I think about it, those one or two times my car did start up with the ICE on, was probably because I had the EV+ enabled and it ran my SOC into the ground. To me the FFH does not seem to be very efficient when the SOC is that low.
