  1. Interesting problem. According to the diagram, power flows to the lower cushion then to the seat back. If there is an open circuit, then both should not work. But you said the seat back works. I would check for adequate power and ground at both heaters and check the resistance of both to start with. Compare to the passenger side
  2. The 2014 and other years and other ford models without a tcu can send out your location to emergency responders only if you have a paired phone, through the 911 assist feature. That can be disabled for the paranoid. I personally think its a good safety feature and I leave it enabled.
  3. FYI, after changing tire positions, rotating tires, the system needs to be retrained using a tire training tool, otherwise the dashboard display will be incorrect. If there is no pressure display on the dashboard, training is not necessary. Example: On my 2014, there is no display. If my tire light is on, I don't know what tire is low unless I check all of them. On later models with the display, if the tire light is on, you know exactly which tire is low, if they are properly trained. If they are not trained, you have to check all of them.
  4. Even if they are still original, its a good idea to do a brake service every few years. Cleaning the rust from the guides and lubing the caliper pins.
  5. I checked the link and pictures. Almost looks like it has flood damage by all the interior and underhood dirt. Check engine light is on. Why would you want to buy this and sink an unknown amount of money into it?? I personally would not take it even if it was free. Good luck.
  6. Don't worry about it or overthink it. Nothing goes wrong with these engines except for the odd oil seepages.
  7. Another fun fact, the regular keyfob uses one battery. The pushbutton start keyfob uses 2 batteries, double the cost. The 2 battery keyfobs seem to work at a longer distance also.
  8. My 2014 has a warning message on the dashboard to replace the keyfob batteries.
  9. To add fluid, you can reach and remove the trans breather, on top of the trans near the firewall, just pulls out. Attach and hose and funnel to the trans and fill until fluid comes out the filler plug. This way is a lot easier and you don't need a pump.
  10. Check with your dealer to see if its covered under recall 19S54 Microsoft Word - 19S54 Dealer Bulletin FINAL.docx (nhtsa.gov)
  11. Sounds like the lane keeping system is activating. Does it happen when your driving over one of the road lines, like changing lanes at highway speeds?
  12. The trans overheating and loud rumbling noise are symptoms of a failed transmission.
  13. A battery monitor reset is supposed to be done with a scan tool. But people replace 12 volt batteries without doing a reset with no problems. The reset is done so the cars electrical system adjusts the charging rate due to battery age and state of charge.
  14. I have seen them so dirty that debris fell off of it and fell into the heater box. Had to remove the heater fan motor to clean it. Other times they are clean. If you are going to check it, might as well just to replace it anyway and be done with it for a few years.
  15. If buying a factory camera, it needs to be programmed into the car or else the guide lines will not work. I'm not sure if the amazon cameras can be progammed. I personally like the guide lines as it comes in useful when parking next to a curb.
  16. You can download the complete 2014 service manual here: Or check the link for other models.
  17. Why do you need to replace the thrust bearing for? You need to measure the crank and the block bore to determine the correct bearing to use before you can order parts. 2019 Fusion Hybrid_Energi.pdf
  18. Fusion hybrid trans takes 4.7 quarts. Trying to refill with 4 or 5 gal as you wrote is going to seriously damage it even if you can put that much in. $300 is also way over priced.
  19. Looks like your in engineering mode. Use a code reader in the datalink connector and see what it reads out. Does the engine run if you keep the gas pedal down all the way?
  20. You would be more amazed if you had the factory navigation system.
  21. You, being a blind driver must have good senses. I can't hear tire noises with the car is not moving or moving very slowly such as in traffic congestion.
  22. I am a pedestrian. I never hear tire noise when in a parking lot where cars are moving very slowly. But I can always hear engine or exhaust noises. How do you drive if your blind? If you wear corrective lenses, then its a big difference if you cannot see at all and have to rely on your other senses. I'm all for the alert system.
  23. According to Ford and others, 1 hour of idle time = 25 miles of driving This mainly applies to stationary engines or vehicles that idle for long periods, such as utility trucks.
