Help needed with a no start and DTC
powerstroke cowboy replied to powerstroke cowboy's topic in 2013-2016 Fusion Hybrid
Thank you. I am going to pull the transaxle and inspect it before going ahead and buying one. I have looked online but can't seem to find parts for the hybrid transaxle. Do you know of a place that sells parts?- 13 replies

Help needed with a no start and DTC
powerstroke cowboy replied to powerstroke cowboy's topic in 2013-2016 Fusion Hybrid
Thanks for the link, I appreciate it. Do you know if any transaxle from 2016 would work? I do know the energi is different in the fact it has an electronic oil pump to keep the transaxle lubed even in full EV mode. That would be a nice option to have. From what I can tell my generator/starter is turning, but the shaft the connects it to the ICE must not be connected. My guess is it's the bearing that is bad and must have been let go for to long and something went to pieces. It "cranks" for about 20 seconds, but the ICE never turns and there is bad clanking noise coming from the transaxle. Or atleast from that location. I bought thr car not running. They claimed the HVB went bad and that's why they parked it and where selling it. But I have since charged the HVB and it seems to be good. My guess is,they drove it till the transaxle went bad and since it was out of warranty they parked it rather than paying Ford 8 grand to fix it. Then they sold it under the claim the HVB went bad since it's easier and cheaper to change the HVB out. O well, I got the car cheap knowing I would need to put some time and money into it. I also figured if it was to expensive of a problem I would just part it out. But it looks like if I do the work I can fix the car for less than 2k.- 13 replies

This is the reason I bought a hybrid fusion. Save money at the pump.

Help needed with a no start and DTC

With farther diagnosing that included flashing and testing all the control module's to make sure they were working properly. I am about 99.9% sure it's a bad transmission/transaxle. Not sure when I can take it apart to see for sure. But I will be sure to post up what I find out.- 13 replies

Hello all, I have ForScan and I ran it on the fusion. I picked up two new codes besides the P1A0C. The P1A0C is still present. The two new codes are attached in picture form. Thanks for any and all help.- 13 replies

Yes, I have seen that exact sight. Infact I have been in and out of it 5 or more times. Haha!! I plan to start by checking the wires and connectors as they suggest. Then also make sure I have voltage to the PCM. I have also read a faulty purge valve can throw the same code as well? So I plan to check that out as well. If all the cheap simple things give no results I will move on to getting the PCM re-flashed. Thanks for your help and suggestions. David- 13 replies

Two codes were pulled. Then cleared, still no start. After trying to start it, one code came up. First two codes, U0100. And U0293. P1A0C, was the last code after clearing the other two codes.- 13 replies

Help needed with a no start and DTC
powerstroke cowboy replied to powerstroke cowboy's topic in 2013-2016 Fusion Hybrid
Hello, thank you for the response. Yes, in engineering mode. I do not have a scanner, waiting on my brother to bring his laptop over so we can read data off the OBD2 port. No, the engine does not run. It will not start. It will not even crank. I have tried holding the gas pedal all the way down for almost a minute to see what would happen. Nothing happened. Thanks for the help! David.- 13 replies

Hello all, 2013 Ford Fusion hybrid. Here's the deal, the car will drive In all electric mode. But the ICE will not start. It does not even try to crank. The 12v battery is new and fully charged. The HVB is fully charged as well. This is not an energi, it's a normal hybrid. The code I have is F00317. Look at the picture to verify the code and HVB status. Thanks for any and all help. David

Need Help With P1000 and P0562 Codes
powerstroke cowboy replied to FFHBoi's topic in 2010-2012 Fusion Hybrid
Okay, no I have never changed the inverter. But, I have had the inverter out of a 13 ffh. I have an extra inverter for a 13 ffh as well. On the 13 ffh it's located in the hybrid battery. I am not sure if the 12 ffh is the same. I have never had to chase a ground problem on of these cars. Sorry I could not be of more help. -
Need Help With P1000 and P0562 Codes
powerstroke cowboy replied to FFHBoi's topic in 2010-2012 Fusion Hybrid
What does the HVB level readout on the dash show? P0562 comes on if the 12v battery dropps below 10 volts for to long. You have a fresh battery already. It sounds like.the battery is either not charging properly or you have a loose ground wire. The P1000 can be set by simply unhooking the battery. -
Hello all. Just joined and thought I should introduce myself. I have been used this place for Information in the past, but never joind. I have a 2013 fusion hybrid that I need some help with. So I thought now would be a good time to join. I hail from Montana. As my user name suggests, I have cattle and drive Ford Powerstroke's. I will start a new thread for the question I have. Unless it's okay to ask it here. Thanks for having me. David
