I called the dealer and they said the only recalls were on the airbag. This car has 291k on it so I don't think the dealer will be too easy to get to do free recall work anyway. But I'll call and ask about that recall specifically. Either way. Is there a way to tell if it's the abs pump or the vacuum pump? I'm leaning towards vacuum pump, but it's guessing at this point.

Brake pedal turned to soft sadness yesterday. All the warning lights blasted me in the face. Cleared the codes with forecan. Most came right back. The main ones are u3000 abs module internal electrical failure. c0022. Brake booster solenoid internal electrical failure. I can't figure out if this car has a brake booster vacuum part or what this BRAKE BOOSTER SOLENOID is. Is the abs module the abs pump? Is this failure likely the abs pump with the 6 brake lines going into it or some brake booster solenoid, or some check valve somewhere? Can anyone explain how the brake vacuum pump works on this car? I see some ford hybrid pumps are all electric and some are a combination of electric and traditional mechanical driven vacuum. This is fascinating stuff but my mind is blown at this point

ABS module has an internal failure

What parts are the common repair parts for this issue. I can't figure out on mine if it's the abs pump or some booster solenoid based off code c0022. My car has soft brake pedal. All the brake lights and codes. Def feels like it's not getting vacuum boost. I can't even find what the booster solenoid is and where it's at. I did watch a great YouTube video about a vacuum pump on a 2009 escape hybrid from a master tech. It's on the bottom of the engine. Has anyone attempted any of these repairs themselves? My car has 291k on it and is all beat up. I need to fix it myself or send it to car heaven. I really don't wanna do that though. I've replaced so much on it already.... -
Master cylinder cap causing multiple error codes

Wow that's wonderful news. Im getting this code but I know the seal on my cap is junk and failing so I'm going to try swapping that first! -
I have a 2011 Lincoln MKZ and I have to replace the radiator I have the bumper cover the bumper bracket and the headlights all removed On any other radiator I've ever done it would be easy to get it out but this radiator support is still wrapped around the radiator and the two other coolers I can keep on working at removing the radiator support but that's what holds the three radiators in place and nothing else supports them I can't find any service manuals or details on how to remove this radiator on a Ford Fusion Hybrid anybody got any experience or tips?

I understand that codes report errors. My error was the car was driven on a flat tire. That's why it shut the power steering down. We have now fixed the flat tire. I've read that flat tires disable power steering until the code is reset at the dealer. I'm trying to learn how to reset the code without taking it to the dealer to do that for me. I'd like to solve my own problems

Will a hard reset clear the stored traction control codes that my 2011 Lincoln mkz hybrid has from driving on a flat tire? Currently it says service power steering and service advancetrac. I lost the power steering when we restarted the car after putting the donut on. We have since replaced the tire and tpms light went away so that problem is fixed. I'm trying to clear the traction control codes without having to take it to a dealer

Can you reset the trouble codes on a 2011 ford fusion hybrid yourself? There has to be a way right? I'm struggling and failing at reseting my "service powersteering" "service advance trac" trouble codes... I've tried disconnecting the battery overnight. I've touched the terminal wires together as i've seen instructed. I've also tried a foxwell scanner NT510 but i don't have the ford software on it yet so its useless for this. On my toyota hybrids you can jumper the holes in obdII port and hit the brake like 8 times to reset abs lights etc etc but i'm finding no good advice on ford hybrid trouble code resets I've also noticed that the car stays powered up even with the accessory battery completely disconnected..... i never seen that before on my toyota hybrids... no wonder i can't clear anything. This thing has the memory of a steel trap. Does this pull power off the traction battery when the accessory battery is disconnected? What triggered the codes was getting a flat tire and driving 1000 feet on the flat. I installed a new tire and the tpms light went away so i know thats fixed and working ok. Im assuming thats what tripped out my power steering and advance trac trouble codes because thats when they went off was when we drove on the flat tire. Since replacing the tire i've driven about 100 miles without power steering the tpms lights are went away but not the "service power steering, or the service advanctrac" warnings
