Remote start on the SE uses a second single button remote that is used in conjunction with the regular remote. The second remote is a two way device and beeps and flashes to communicate the status of the car back to the driver. I have it on my car as it was a car I bought from dealer stock, not something I would order, used it once in two months and that was only to make sure it worked.

I voted yes to being happy with my mpg, but it is a guarded yes. The first 4 fillup were in the low 30's but now it is getting warmer and my driving style is maybe a little less conservative I am averaging 41 on this tank so far. But even if I ends up in the upper 30's I'll be happy as the car is great to drive, handles well and looks awesome.

Shiny black center console and scratches
storksb replied to GrySql's topic in Interior Trim, Seats, Seat Belts & Covers
If only I had a scratch on the center console, I managed to scratch the rear passenger door on a concrete pillar in the parking garage at work a couple of weeks ago, most of it buffed out but still a couple of deeper scratches to live with. Was bummed at the time but now just accept it as one of those things and moving on. Life is to short to worry. -
Yep, this was exactly the issue I encountered at my dealer, does not show up for my VIN. They even gave me a copy of the notice from Ford about not installing 3.5.1 on NAV Hybrid / electric vehicles.

I think that you may find the lack of ability to spin the tires to be due to the Traction Control. I used to have a GTi with summer tires, when the ice came it would start to spin the tires but very quickly the traction control would kick in and reduce the power to almost nil, effectively stopping me dead.

As it is not authorized for the FFH with NAV, my dealer won't install it as they won't get reimbursed by Ford for the technician's labour.
-
I think you misunderstood, it was implied that there is a new version above 3.5.1 in beta.
-
So MFT version 3.5.1 is not officially available for hybrid vehicles with NAV at this time though some dealers are upgrading vehicles to it.. I was told this by the dealer a couple of weeks ago, and this was confirmed to me yesterday by the MFT helpdesk.I asked for a release date and was told later this year and that it was in beta testing and that it may be a completely new version and not 3.5.1. The wait goes on.

Just a lot of people with awesome taste ;-) LOL

Got a call from my dealer today, the correct shifter is in stock and I have an appointment to get it swapped tomorrow morning on my way to work.

Despite my less than stellar mpg (which getting much better on the current tank), I would certainly buy the 2013 hybrid again. Love my FFH.
-
Went out to dinner this evening, pulled into the parking lot at Chilli's and there were two other 2013 FFH already there, left an hour later and they were both gone but there was yet another one. So in the space of an hour 4 FFH in the same parking lot. Getting popular here in NoVA.

There are many Li-on cells in the battery pack, probably more than a couple of hundred, which combined give the high voltage KWH. I'm sure some one can pull up the exact specs.

What's the most gallons you've been able to put in at one fill-up?[
storksb replied to fusionTX's topic in Fuel Mileage
Not sure if the warmer weather helped as normally I struggle to get more than 11 gallons in from DTE if 5 but yesterday I managed to get 12.6 with a DTE of -1. -
So looking at the small poll results it appears that there is no link between MPG and MFT version. As I expected, thanks to those that took part in the poll.

Daytime Running lights?
storksb replied to Ric's topic in Glass, Headlights, Fog lamps, Lenses & Window Tint
Having the ability to enable DRLs would be nice, can't understand Ford's reasoning for not enabling it. Any thing that makes the car safer and more visible is worth having in my opinion. On my previous GTI the DRLs were the HID headlamps they looked way cool. -
Here is my software version info from ET mode. - Man Date: 120101 - B&A Config Bytes: 0C 23 11 64 60 5C 2F 10 - Part No: DS7T-LH - Core: DS7T-LB - Cal#1: DS7T-LH - S/W: DS7T-LH
-
I suspect that this is the case, just trying to get any data together to see if there is any link. Will post my ET mode data shortly.

acdii what was your build date
-
Thought it would be interesting to see if any correlation between MPG and MFT Version. I suspect not. There has been lots of speculation around build dates but from what I have read that is likely a red herring.

Added my vote for Ruby Red. GO REDS

My FFH is very quiet when running the ICE. I would go to the dealer and ask them about it and to run some tests. You may want to see about test driving another one at the dealer to compare to yours.

Great looking car and welcome to the club.

Spoke to the parts guy at my dealer today, he is trying to confirm the part number I have gave from this forum is valid and will definitely work in my car before committing to order. Hope to hear back from him soon. I really like the look of the correct shifter and getting what I paid for is important but not urgent.

10/19/12 An early one, though did not take delivery until Jan 24, bought from dealer inventory.
