  1. No, haven't used the spare yet. That's why I bought it, so I wouldn't need it! Murphys Law.
  2. up to 40.7 now that winters over, it was 40 even. 43,000 miles on my 2013, and gone through 2 sets of tires and 1 set of rear brakes and rotors.
  3. Put new tires on exactly 5 months ago and my mileage has consistently since that day. From average 48.1 to now 40.1 The new tires are 4 conti pure eco 235-50-r17
  4. Wow! that was great! I had a 1989 Taurus and I averaged 27,000 miles per tire over 12 tires. I'm hoping to get 40,000 out of my Fusion
  5. Here were my findings last year, I'm re posting it here now: My car has the original FFH 17 inch wheels.I picked up my spare tire "donut" from my dealer today, they mounted and balanced the wheel and tire for me, they don't buy it as a unit, they buy the tire and the wheel separately. the cost was $255.00 It's a T16x4T wheel and the tire is T125/80/D16 97M. The overall size of it measures 24 inches and the tire that is on my car now measures about 25.5 inches. The part number of the wheel is CV6Z1015B , the tire number is UHK16 12580 (S400 BW). The spare tire inflated fit perfectly into the spare tire area after I took out the Air pump and the insert. I already have a jack and wrench. I called the dealer today to make sure the overall size was OK, since it is about an inch and a half smaller than my original, they said the size is fine, I can drive on the donut without worry. So I did that, I put it on the right front, not the left front because I didn't want to head into oncoming traffic if there was a problem. Off I went, well it pulls like hell to the right when breaking and it goes to the left when accelerating. But it is totally drivable! Remember, this is for emergency use only. but I would not be afraid to have to put 50 or 100 miles on it if I had to. I really gave it the test! Drove it for 20 miles round trip on winding country roads and some decent straightaways. Handling quality seemed fine, it's the breaking that takes getting used to. I got up to 60 mph and the handling was fine, I took the 35 mph parts of the road at between 50 & 60 mph, all was well with the handling I even came around one turn on the 35 mph section doing 50 mph and had a traffic jam in front of me, the car stopped and handled perfectly now that I was used to the pull to the right. Accelerating was fine too, floor it from a dead stop and get up to 60 mph without a problem, just have to compensate steering a little to the right. At about 17 miles my sensor light came on warning of a tire pressure problem, that's because there is no sensor in the spare, The best thing to do is put the donut spare on the rear and put the good rear on the front, if you have the time and energy.
  6. I got them 2/18, pretty fast! They look nice and sturdy, and they come with screws and holes for mounting. Now when my ice melts and it gets warmer I'll install them. Maybe this weekend, it's going into the 50's around here.
  7. Last week I had multiple warning lights all come on at once. Hill Assist, Service Traction Control, ABS, Air Bag. Along with that the Screen displayed my back up camera while driving forward at any speed. Brought it to the dealer and left it for two days. The repair was a corroded connector in the White Wire at the Left Front ABS Sensor. This connector is protected with a rubber boot, but it wasn't "sealed with sealer". I asked if just mine wasn't sealed with sealer or were all cars not sealed with sealer. I was told "no cars are sealed with sealer, there is just the rubber boot covering the connector. The repair was to clean the connector from corrosion and splice repair the wire and shrink tube the repair and reattach the rubber boot and glue/seal it in place. No charge of coarse and a free rental car. I just thought I'd post this in case anyone else gets a warning light party display.
  8. I ordered them, so we'll see. from china though, long wait??
  9. Thanks Kim, I forgot all about that screen. I did what you said and it looks like it was already set to off. All my choices remained the same no matter which was selected between advanced or novice. So I confirmed the settings and we'll see how it goes. I did notice that commands can't be heard over the roar of the fan blower when on high defrost, I have to manually lower the fan speed for commands to be heard. Thanks again for your help.
  10. Thanks for that tip! It works fine. I looked through the menus for the adjustment for less help/yakking but I couldn't find that menu, I searched for 15 minutes while my Pizza was being cooked.
  11. Here is my month to month, I've got 20,000 miles this year. I've also totally blocked up the grille for winter driving, but I haven't noticed any change in mileage. If I drive under 45 mph in 15 to 25 degree weather it takes about 25 miles to come up to temperature. If I hit the highway right away it comes up to temperature in about 3 miles.
  12. I don't like how voice command goes into a loooong story when it misunderstands you, like "try saying blah blah , or go to www. blah blah! You can't interrupt her or get the results you need RIGHT NOW, not until she's done talking. I also don't like how every so often the radio comes on when you start the car. I don't use the radio/cd player that often, maybe once a month. It is turned off when I leave the car, but when I start the car it comes on by itself and scares the crap out of me.
  13. Last year I got 39/40/41 mpg before the update, this year I'm getting 36/37/38 mpg for the same time of year and after the update. Not much difference.
  14. This car does some strange things at times! Yesterday I drove 1/2 mile and stopped at a stop sign, looked both ways, and before I accelerated the warning chime went off and the screen displayed "car is not in park", It was right! I wasn't in park, and I didn't want to be in park, I'm driving! WTF?
